Re: VERY IMPORTANT: New Rule for posting Sets - NO FRISKY SETS ALLOWED
Wow, only just read these recent developments because Gatz has up and left.
Let's try an outside view here.
Seems like this drama was triggered because file sharers fail to credit their sources. Surely that is a fair complaint. The flip side is, WE ALL KNOW WHERE THE SHOWS ARE FROM ANYWAY! We're a forum of crazy music fanatics, so while I get Frisky's point about crediting sources, which I think is fair, it's not like we need to be told Destinations is from Frisky Radio, etc.
So wtf is this Ingo dude, does he run Frisky Radio? I'm confused as to why he's suddenly involved in this nonsense.
Which is exactly what this is. [ms] and Frisy Radio has been around, and I thought you guys have a pretty good symbiotic relationship, come on we love Frisky Radio shows! So all this petty bickering is stupid and embarrassing to you, and who suffers? The real music fans. Why? Because of 'ownership' and a perceived slight when a set's source isn't credited properly.
I hope you realise it's all in your head guys. You choose to be stamp or enforce this 'ownership' which is really only relevant to you. To us, it's just good music to be heard. And like I said, every single frequenter on this board or in the P&R section knows Frisky Radio and knows where these sets are coming from. So you're just bickering over perceptions here.
And I agree that if we're sharing sets, the least we can do is credit the source. Most of us make it a point--when sharing found sets on here--to credit the person who ripped and shared the sets, I know I do 'cos I hardly rip on my own. So I don't see what the big deal is if Frisky Radio wants to be credited as the broadcaster or original source of the show.
Don't be a Tenaglia!
