Yeah suprisingly, i actually liked the last one, the first one with Bale as Batman. Maybe they should have made him batman a couple films ago and got this better director and producer.

I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Heath looks like he really gave it his all in the previews I've seen...looks a hell of a lot better than DiVito did.

Re: Batman:The Dark Knight

rumour is he will get a postumous oscar nod, which is a rare thing. all the talk says he stole the movie.

#1043017Post 45 of 142

Re: Batman:The Dark Knight

it just really sucks that he'll never get to make another one. Does this film put us back at the first Batman though? Cause now we know about his fighting with the Joker, so that takes us to the DiVito era.

Re: Batman:The Dark Knight

this is a MUST SEE..

havent seen a movie in theatres for at least 3 years (minus cloverfield) because of all the drivel that hollywood creates.

seeing this one saturday after opening for sure.

Re: Batman:The Dark Knight

damn...yeah rad that too about the oscar thing....he looks wicked so bizzare.....

also think in that review says that this will be the best movie ever made, compared with godfather, but in comics!....

DiVito was Penguin not Joker.. but yes these movies start at the beginning of the batman story from when his parents were murdered..

I can't wait to see this movie..

what I'm really happy about is the movie that was in production when Heath passed away, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, is still going to be made with Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law added :)

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

So I grabbed this off another message board.... This is what Kevin Smith said about the movie..........so looking foward to this......

“I caught an early screening of "The Dark Knight" yesterday evening.

Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that's not an overstatement).

It's the "Godfather II" of comic book films and three times more earnest than "Batman Begins" (and fuck, was that an earnest film).

Easily the most adult comic book film ever made.

Heath Ledger didn't so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I'm not the first to suggest this, but he'll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor.

Fucking flick's nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece. "

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Actually Smith might make a good Daredevil movie ... his writing on it was pretty good.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

I've been waiting for this for ages - amazing cast ... Bale is the finest and most diverse actor around, and Nolan is a truly great director. Ledger's performance looks to be show stealing .. and then there's Caine, Freeman and Oldman still to come !

If this is 3 x as good as the 1st then TDK should be off the scale.

She's in this??? Oh Nice! She was great in Stranger than Fiction.

#1043818Post 60 of 142

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Yeah she replaces Katie Holmes ... much better choice IMO. Gyllenhaal would portray a much smarter character  And I thought Holmes looked too young next to Bale anyway. :|

#1043886Post 61 of 142

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

gyllenhall? lol. she's not even remotely good looking. and bruce wayne wants to tap that?

should have been jennifer connelly or somethin'...

#1043894Post 62 of 142

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

gyllenho is much better than katie holmes..they didn want to keep her because shes in all that tom cruise crap

#1043896Post 63 of 142

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Katie Holmes never did it for me ... Jessica Alba would have been a good choice.

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Batman begins was the best one so far IMO. Had a great storyline and the movie lacked a lot of the cheese that the earlier batmans had. Looking forward to seeing this new one!

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Batman Begins was amazing. I loved Nicholson as the original Joker, but I think Ledger will be just as good if not better.
