Re: Batman Beigns Sequel

So long as Christopher Nolan is directing it, and the cast is returning I'm happy. Stick to the casting of actual actors and less of the stunt casting that the Tim Burton/Joel Schumaker abominations were famous for (ie. There's been talk of having Steven Carrell being given the role of the Joker), and keep the pitch black tone of the first, and I'll be very happy.

Sweet!! I loved the first movie, and was hoping they'd continue the series. 2008 is a long ass time to wait, but I think I can make it! :)
What!!! the first 2 batmans were the best
What was that you liked so much? They weren't too bad, but Nicholson was the only highlight! I generally navigate away from anything that the score was solely done by Prince.

Re: Batman Benignsnes Sequel

i might be wrong but isnt Harvey Dent Two-Face???

#691845Post 15 of 142

Re: Batman Benignsnes Sequel

Yes. But Two-Face was Harvey Dent FIRST. He used to be the DA and was a supporter of Gordon and Batman IIRC. During some heist or robbery or whatever, Dent got his face splashed with acid, scarring him on one side and fucking him up so badly that he became Two-Face, symbolized by a coin scarred on one side, which he uses to make decisions. Quite possibly the scarring involved the Joker, which seeing as this is part two, would set up Harvey Dent as Two-Face for part three.

It'd be interesting to see what Nolan does with the sequeal and the Bruce Wayne/Batman character if the official title of the sequal is indeed The Dark Knight. That's almost always associated with Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

Re: Batman Benignsnes Sequel

i guess that would be right 'cos i read an article the other day that heath ledger is signed for 2 batman where the third one having the joker on trial for some crime and hideously scarring Harvey Dent in the process

Re: Batman Benignsnes Sequel

Aaron Eckhart Lands Two-Faced Role

Thank You For Smoking star Aaron Eckhart will play Harvey Dent/Two-Face in The Dark Knight, a sequel to Batman Begins. Dent is Gotham City's district attorney and a Batman ally who goes insane after half of his face is disfigured by acid. Known as Two-Face, he chooses to do good or evil by flipping a coin. Tommy Lee Jones played the character in 1995's Batman Forever. Ray Oscar winner Jamie Foxx recently rubbished reports he would play Dent alongside Christian Bale's Batman. The sequel, directed by Christopher Nolan, is set to be released next summer. The actor is next set to be seen in drama No Reservations opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and recent Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin.

Latest trailer.

Looks amazing, the movie can only be better. Ledger must've really studied Nicholson, he's got the Joker's tone perfectly, even more twisted.

I think Ledger's Joker is going to be way better than Nicholson...more of crazy madman than a silly clown!

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

so with the Dark Knight comes the inevitability of Bane.

#954375Post 33 of 142

Re: Batman: The Dark Knight

Actually Bane only came onto the scene much much later, IIRC Miller originated the name.
