I did match.com for a bit on a lark, but I ended up meeting my wife on there. Was a lot of fun, dated a lot of people, had a lot of fun nights with people even if there was no love connection, and, again, I met my wife, so I'm definitely a proponent.

How many "compatible matches" did they say you had after you signed up? How many people did you go out with from the site before meeting her?

Sorry for the questions....I have never known anyone that has met and married someone from a dating site so I am curious.

I have no idea how many compatible matches there were. There was criteria that you could search on, and I think it returned everyone that at least hit one of those criteria, with the "more compatible" people at the top of the list.

Probably went out with around a dozen people, some of whom I went out with a few times, and some of whom I never saw again. Was a good experience, and it seemed to cut down on some of the bullshit inherent in the bar scene.

I actually started to chat to a girl I met on match.com a couple of months ago.

In the meantime I´ve gotten involved with another girl in the "real world", and about two days ago I was at her house when this chick I had been chatting to just called me on the cell phone :shock: I didn´t even remember giving her my number and we had exchanged like just 3 or 4 messages on match.com, and this woman calls me at 11PM !

I had to make it look like a wrong number. I felt kinda shitty about it because she seemed nice and all that, but I´m not "in the market" anymore.

Kind of weird that she would turn out to be this forthcoming...

It happened. She looked nothing like she did in her pictures. She looked pretty good in the pictures, but when I met her, it looked like she didn't put too much effort into her appearance.... Also, she has tourettes, burped out loud really annoyingly, and was depressing as hell to talk to....She kept telling me how depressing it was to work in the hospital as the person who pulls the plug on people that are no longer able to breath on their own...

Fuck, I always get the weird shit happen to me.... :(
