Just wondered what people's thoughts on this were? I've recently joined up to one (with some fairly serious preconceptions) and have to say it's a shitload of fun, and there are literally thousands of girls on there (thousands of guys too, for you ladeeyz out there) ranging from the inevitable monsters to some seriously fit and interesting people.

I used to waste far too much time fucking around on Facebook (which I've now sacked off), and there's much more chance of getting laid this way...happy dayz! :D

i dont like the idea of putting my information along with my life history for everyone to see. plus there are some definite opportunities for fraud or stealing of identities on there. just gotta be careful.

I was on Match.com.Met a girl about a month ago been dating ever since.I'll have you know I had been on Match for almost a Year before I finally got one that lasted more than one date..lol

Never done an online dating site but I have a couple of buddies who do them... it seems like they're doing a new girl every week.

From what it sounds like from them, just about everyone's on the site for the same reason... to hook up.

yeah, meeting chicks at clubs/bars has started to lose its appeal (and it seems to be getting harder as I grow older..hmmmm). Online sites do work though...know friends who've tried it with lots of success, and am actually dating a girl right now who I met on match.com. There are definitely some hotties on there but can't guarantee they're all normal!

did it for a few years awhile back before i met my fiance.

had lots of dates and met some pretty cool girls. met some pretty effin crazy ones too.

just gotta get into the scene and know how to react to certain situations (like when someone is TOTALLY different than their profile). but was a great experience with my social shyness. that goes out the window about 30 seconds into your 1st date.

i highly recommend it if you are really busy or over the bar scene. been trying to get my single guy friends to do it but they wont get over the social stigma.

I have some people at work wanting me to sign up for one of these for their fun, not necessarily mine, lol.

They seem to think that they would be able to screen through the guys and find my dream man because I haven't done so well in the past when it comes to picking winners, lol.

I dunno about the whole thing to be honest. I don't think there is anything wrong with it per say, but I dunno....I don't think I am at "that point" where I need to look online to find a date....if that makes any sense, lol.

Nonono not at all! I didn't mean it that way....I should have worded things differently.

I meant for me and stepping back into the dating world. I am just not someone that enjoys actual dating in general and have never really done that. I usually meet guys through friends or already knew them.

I have been single for a few months now and I am just not at that point when it comes to looking for someone to date....if it happens it does

I also had one that was fucked up in the head who came to stay and did not had a penny to her name - 2 days later i dropped her off at the airport still with not a penny to her name and told her to get lost, sort of turned me off this kind of dating:(
