I grabbed Pt 1 off our archives again, there's something odd at 53:40, the set cuts over to some elevator music without any Digweed voiceover to say the show's ended.

Part 1 should be 57:59 and 79.6 mb. At 57:24 Diggers says "just about coming to the end of part 1"

Know it's not the best of the bunch but listened to his 2007 episode from The Underworld Tour in Boston and really loved the set.

digweeds best ever? hhmm not sure still got a few more to listen to but this is some pretty amazing stuff.

yeh Ad .. there's tons of sets, but not that many where you get a few hours to see how things develop - in my mind 2000/2001 was also the pinaccle of dark progressive house.

Plus I've always classed the legendary Beirut set as a non-Kiss100 set as John would never have played it if it hadn't been leaked.

The thing with Yellow & Beirut is that I can put them on and get totally absorbed in the music - plus they're still fresh & exciting [U]every[/U] time I hear them.

He played an awful 4 x hours at Godskitchen that year .. I'd dragged people over there raving about how good he would be and he didn't play one decent track !

Fortunately he then played an excellent set at Pacha that summer for Renaissance that included his Beruit stuff .. but he must still have been carting a lot of those electro records around and the Space crew must have been going mad for it. Guess I got lucky.

A little earlier... The Beirut set had just been leaked earlier in the year, I was there October 2004. I guess close enough to 2005. I was expecting to hear the usual mind blowing Diggers set, instead I heard stuff that sounded like whale farts.

Actually that makes more sense Hypo .. Beruit and his Radio 1 Hotmix fuelled our expectations that year - you saw him Oct 2004 and I saw him Feb 2005 ... by pacha (Sept 2005) he'd started to move out of his Electro Blows phase ;)

Found out the date of this set - Saturday June 23rd 2001, which means Diggers broadcasted it the following week ... if only he did that now !
