Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

You really think Digweed is going to deliver that kind of CD?

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

the only thing he is going to deliver is quality

No way he's gonna produce crap like that, I'm just comparing the look of this to all the other stuff he's produced over the years and it marks a certain change of direction for him. I sincerely hope I'll like the final product.

#905356Post 47 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

Where can we order it from please? Also, are these signed copies?

#905360Post 48 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

www.recordstore.co.uk/johndigweed

If that doesn't work (it sometimes doesn't) just go to www.recordstore.co.uk and search John Digweed.

First 100 are signed.

Ditto. Though it is perhaps greedy of me given that I managed to get the second one- which was slightly below the first one, which was brilliant, imo- signed. Certainly have high hopes for this one, but I have resisted giving the minimix a serious listen. Interested to hear the 25 minute tune on the flipside, too.

#906816Post 53 of 144

Re: so....transitions 3.........

I seriously doubt the minimix would spoil anything, I've given it a listen and you only get the slightest idea what the real thing's going to be like from it.

Re: so....transitions 3.........

The free CD with Digger's and Nick Muir's extra long production should be interesting.

#906898Post 55 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

only 3 of the 20 tracks are unreleased!

Re: so....transitions 3.........

Where else sells the autographed copies??

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3
I need to find more info about this C.O.M.A stuff. Sound very interesting.
COMA is actually a combination of three DJ's, one of which is Sasha. But regarding the Digweed album, I review this type of stuff for certain websites (MPIII.com, ibeats.co.uk, beatport etc) and I've listened to T3 SO many friggin' times... the 'magic touch' and 'layering' stuff is definitely true - its an intensly manipulated mosaic of sound - but expect nothing BETTER than T2, even though my personal favorite was the first. The only part of T3 i havent gotten to sample (and Digweed specified this be so) is I have not heard the 25 minute Digweed/Muir track, so that may change the entire thing around for me. But yeah, T3 is very moody, dark and manipulated/techy. 3-4AM? Bring it on.8)

I'm glad to see that Renaissance have been more careful who they give promo copies to as this hasn't yet leaked. :)

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

I just found this with clips of the songs. Sounds like he's doing some electro stuff on the cd...which means it will probably be a BUY for me.

So let me get this straight - were you sent a copy by Renaissance or an affiliated company, or did you download it?

#911812Post 63 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

sounds like he was sent a promo copy

#911852Post 64 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

Just got my promo copy today, listening to it now

#918108Post 67 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

I've finished listening to it twice today. Wasn't paying full attention to it but it doesn't sound anywhere near as good as the first two to me :(

I'll have a go at it in the car tomorrow going to work so I can concentrate on it properly.

#918137Post 68 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

i got my hands on a promo copy(relax, i order the real deal too), this cd is amazing.... I think Diggers is in top form right now. Can't wait till the actual release, sound quality will be much better, and there is that little 25 min extra bonus....

I think this may be the best Transitions to date, although I really liked Vol. 2.....

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

finally got to listen and it is just SICK

Best Diggers CD in a while

#918246Post 71 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

Got a promo copy also and lets just say this track is what its all about

 1. Daniela Stickroth - Chest In The Attic

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

This cd is stellar, can't wait to get my hard copy in the post.

#918269Post 73 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

It seems everybody succumbs to the temptation to download a promo. :D

Also preordered a month ago which is a sad excuse but anyways.

It is fucking amazing... Can't wait to get a copy that sounds like it should. Tempo could've been a bit more than (about) 122 bpm though.

#918282Post 74 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

Yep, after playing in the car to and from work I can say it's a really good cd to listen to.

Not yet amazing for me, but maybe it will change with time. LOVED the first 40 minutes, but the proceeding 20 minutes didn't do too much for me, will finish the rest in the car tomorrow.

#918508Post 75 of 144

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

I had already pre-ordered this but I really wanted to hear it so I downloaded it. I see nothing wrong with that. As for the mix...it is indeed "proper heads down" shit. So many memorable tracks. Especially that last one. Another quality Digweed comp worth buying.

Re: Diggers - Transitions 3

I'm all over that last track from Guy J. Diggers played this during Bonnaroo, and for me it was a standout track. He always seems to find that melodic yet pumping track to end sets with, classic diggers sound.
