You should be able to get it at a good store. They are growing very fast. From Delaware. They also make a 120 minute IPA which I havent' tried. Also a stout that is like $6 a bottle.

Re: i p a - a BEER thread!! (aka sasha's favorite beer)

the 120 didn't get so hot reviews. but i'd still try it on my own.

Re: i p a - a BEER thread!! (aka sasha's favorite beer)

Hey guys, looks like I stumbled upon this thread a little late. Let me cut to the chase here:

Dogfishhead - this is great stuff, haven't had it in a long time though..

if you are in the Midwest, check out Bell's beer, it's from a brewery in Kalamazoo Michigan. They make the best IPAs in my opinion... The best of which is called

Bell's Two Hearted Ale - this is what the OP wanted, it is some awesome IPA, and it will knock your socks off or whatever he said... it is great stuff. they also make an awesome beer called Bell's Best Brown Ale

If you are in San Diego or LA, get the Stone Brewery's

Stone IPA - very good stuff.

If you want to get more messed up, get the Double IPA, the strongest IPA I have ever had, hop wise. If you want the thickest bear, get their Double Bastard Ale. My friend described it as tasting like syrup, it is so thick. The also make a bear every year called Vertical Epic, and it is their best beer in my opinion, comparable to the Bell's Two Hearted.

that's all I got!

I really like stouts and ipa's. Goose island brewery makes a good ipa, sierra nevada ipa is alright. To many more to think of. I just recomment if you can buy singles of different ipa's until you find one you like.

Do you live in PA?

Yuengling is money. Never had it till I moved to the burgh.

As for IPAs, can't say I'm fond of any I've had.

Bridgeport's IPA, unfortunately, isn't all that or a bag of chips. bought a 6 of it a few weeks ago, and wasn't overly impressed. I still drank it mind you, it IS beer afterall, but i won't be buying it again when it's sitting right next to Thunderhead.

Re: i p a - a BEER thread!! (aka sasha's favorite beer)

yeah im not a huge fan of bridgeport beers actually, but there esb is good, and the stout aint bad either. the ipa sucks, which is strange because its probably their best known

Central NJ, Yueng is considered a local beer around here. Oddly enough, some bars charge import prices. I'm all like, "Do you realize they are closer to here than Bud/Miller/Coors?"

Re: i p a - a BEER thread!! (aka sasha's favorite beer)

An interesting note:

A few months ago we went to the Boulevard Brewery in KC and did the tour and tried all their beers. In the presentation, they were talking about how they got off the ground, and what direction they're headed etc etc. When they started their goal was something like 1500 barrels for the year. The first year, they sold 6000+. And then he said, just to put that into perspective...our friends across the state in STL, anheuser busch, brewed that amount by 8am on January 1st. 1 Hour. LOL!! Re: i p a - a BEER thread!! (aka sasha's favorite beer)

The best and most common IPA we get in FL is Great Divide, Flying Dog else Sierra Nevada.

Although I'm more of a stout, porter guy. I really like tabernash and odell. And anything from New Belgiam Brewery (ie Fat Tire & Frambosen). From what I hear, they are building an eastern brewery and soon everyone east of the mississippi will able to get Fat Tire!

From Louisianna... I like Dixie Crimson Voodoo... Blackened Voodoo - or any Abita Brew would be a top choice.

Re: i p a - a BEER thread!! (aka sasha's favorite beer)

I was just @ the New Belgium Brewery last month. They have some good beers. Love their Belgium Tripel, and the 1554 Black Ale. The Blue Paddle Pilsner is good too. Sunshine Wheat, can't comment, don't like wheat beers. Something about putting fruit in beer i just can't deal with. Fat Tire...meh....i'll live fine if i don't ever have one of those again tho.

They have one called La Folie, aged 3 years. It's shocking. Tastes like vinegar, but somehow, i can't decide if i like it or not...but keep drinking it, and actually, just bought another bottle of it today.

My experience is limited with IPA's, but here in Canada we get Alexander Keith's IPA brewed only in Nova Scotia the last 210 years.

It's the most popular IPA in Canada.

Collins. New Belgium has some great seasonal beers, I'm not a fan of the sunshine wheat either. Did you at least get a chance to try any or Odell's Cutthroat of 90 Schilling while in CO? My two favs.
Most decent liquor stores. Most people have Sierra Nevada or Red Hook IPA, both of which are okay, but the smaller breweries are really kicking some ass with IPA. Every city i go to i try and check out the local breweries and get local with the beer. You'll get some fantastic beers you'll never see anywhere else.
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. THEY DO NOT MAKE AN IPA SUCKERS. FUCKING KNOW YOUR BEER YOU CHUMS.
