i have heard a few pros and cons of the actual conference, but to be honest, i think you can do just as much elbow rubbing and networking at the 100's of parties around south beach that week.

110% true. last year at the movim party i stood behind the owner of Crobar, New York trying to order a beer. you just never know who you're standing next to.

i saw some dude trying to pick up his girfriend off the sidewalk after i left you guys after the movim party pickle. i was by myself walking to walgreens, but damn i was chucklin.

I had a dj buddy that went in 2004 and said he was standing around trying to watch DD while this arab looking guy kept bumping into him, a friend told him it was Behrouz. Talk about bumping into the right people down there.

i dont know if anybody else feels this way but, this festival needs to be downgraded......theres too many people.....too many springbreakers, outsiders, wastin' our supplies.....:EvilFlic: ...last year it was the worst, $55 dollars down the gutter .. $55 dlrs less to spend on something worthy of it ,, like the delta tour right afterwards I dont know exactly what needs to be done , but something has to happen to bring it back to what it was the first 3 years.:CandyPop:

miguel, if you are refferring to the Ultra festival, then i'm afraid you got what you deserved. anyone who attempts going to that thing is bound to regret it. the people that throw 'Ultra' are interested in nothing else than banking thousands of dollars$. you are at your own fault and i do not feel sorry for you...

if you want a friendly word of advice for wmc.... Do Not Leave South Beach!

The rest of you can keep Ultra, the Ultra afterparty, Space, Nocturnal, etc. You don't need any of those door-nazi pricks with their $80 cover charges for Deep Dish if you just hang out at the smaller places with better music on the island.

Ok so have we figured out the date situation yet? After last years cluster F, my g/f keeps freaking out about booking a hotel now. Any hotel recommendations from other members?

we figured that out on page 1. the WMC is 5 days. the parties surrounding it are 9 days.

this kind of makes advanced bookings difficult as i gernally book around 2-3 parties i know i want to make. i'd love to spend all 9 days in sobe but that would make me a very poor partier.

hmmmmmmmm very interrested in going down to Miami again......its been two years but back in the late 90s went every year.... Was thinking bout going the week before got the GG. I know we are pretty much guessing but what do you all think bout bigger named djs being there?? The Diggers, DD, Nick Warren, Sasha, ...My assumption is yes, if it is going to be like anything over seas...?No bookings i'm sure but im trying to decide....and need to decide soon... And hoping to check some "good" music while were there. Any help would be great.... or any opinions might be helpful too......

i thought the miami music conference was the one being suported by all the big parties?? ..i might have a free palne ride (insane) with ice las vegas..this girl i know (i got her a job at JET) has 2 seats reserved and she formaly inveted me.. now all i have to do is get time off...

the official WMC dates are 24-28th of march...you can go to [URL="http://www.wmcon.com"]www.wmcon.com[/URL] that is the official winter music conference website - the other emails you are getting for miami music conference, is something being put together by other factions at the same time, just prior...i.e global gathering the weekend before.

Looking forward to it! We are staying at a place called the Cresent on 14th and beachfront so we'll be down for more get togethers since we wont be driving back and forth between downtown and SoBe.
