Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

collection of individuals - no team whatsoever. Has been longstanding english problem.

credit to the Algerians tho.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
so if the US wins next match, they advance... can two teams qualify? what are the rules for advancing?
Two teams qualify actually... With a victory, US will lead the group and with a draw must wait too see what happens between England vs Slovenia but the worst scenario might be the 2nd place in the group... Terrible match for England this was

England must win against Slovenia.. A draw will be the end of the World Cup for them...

agree 100%

and because of that absolutely no pressure on us to win the last game ;)

i dont remembrer us under sven struggling to get out of a group like this

imo rooneys worst game since that shambolic loss to northern ireland and imo that game was crying out for adam johnson swp is utter dogpap

however......in fabio i trust

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

England loses 2nd match... USA still undefeated

#1385033Post 287 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

^^^ they both have 2 draws, neither is undefeated, they are both unbeaten

england and usa win next match they both go through

#1385035Post 288 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

but still, thats a complete upset for England not to win any of its matches yet, even if it ties points with USA, still the goals difference might come back and bite them in the butt...

#1385036Post 289 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

i agree, it's very disappointing

we need to wear our red tops on Wednesday!

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

am just kidding, btw.

imho, was trying to play a point: officiating, fanatics, (bbbzzz), pundits, and commentators are kind-of a bust

#1385043Post 292 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa
england and usa win next match they both go through
This should happen for sure.... US will be pretty confident to get at least one point against Algeria and bet they will..

And at some point England will prove they are a quality team... This HAS to be the game against Slovenia.. This World Cup is pretty crazy so far and anything can happen though

#1385044Post 293 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

exactly, but if the US draw, they wont go through, England and Slovenia will (if england wins), USA will only have 3 points and Slovenia already has 4 and England would have 5

#1385048Post 294 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Wow that is true

That group is on fire right now, each team dreams about the next phase and the good thing is none of them depends of any result... Both matches will be a battle!

#1385051Post 295 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

the way this wc is going, it seems a lot of the 3rd round matches will be important! I can't stand when two teams play each other and neither one can go through

#1385052Post 296 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

England were fuckin dire, thanks for mentioning Rooney was on the pitch- i forgot..

They deserve no more than a plane home if that's the best they can do. Algeria looked pretty composed at times coming forward i thought and played well.

I thought Barry coming back would give us back our shape but that was a pile of shit.

#1385054Post 297 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

there were a lot of gaping holes, nervousness, apprehension.. I still don't think Gerrard and Lampard can coexist... I have a feeling Defoe and Rooney might start up top on Wednesday, we need our red tops!

BBC says: an angry fan got in the England locker room; forget security breech, has he got his boots?

#1385060Post 298 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

you knew it was going to be an odd day when the Germans went down to Serbia, and losing Klose unfortunate, the tournament has been really good for the most part as far as officiating, then today Klose getting sent off was harsh and that ref was card happy to say the least, and then the USA disallowed goal.. neither of those two should referee again in this world cup

#1385064Post 299 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

I agree the officiating on the whole has been top class. So have the pitches I think, every one i've seen has looked fuckin first rate.

I was hoping not to have to mention the balls again (no,really) but i watched Greece v Nigeria last night and felt for Enyeama. fair play to Greece it was a great result for them but the shot that lead to the winner was all over the fuckin place... For the keeper of the tournament to be beaten like that I have to say i thought was shit. Petrol station balls!!

Frustrated!

Play the players in the position they play best. It's that fucking simple!

#1385113Post 303 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Something doesn't seem quite right to me, they don't seem to believe in the way they are playing.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

I heard the Africans singing a song while I was over there, the only lyrics I can remember went something like "So solosa" Anyone know what it is?

nail on the head mate

either that, or they believed the media hype that this group was EASY and when they saw the other teams actually wanted to play, they didn't know how to react/adjust

@ floridaorange - i think the refs wanted to make sure the group C matches on Wednesday were meaningful (obviously joking, no clue whyh that goal was disallowed)

Malian referee Koman Coulibaly, criticized for disallowing a potentially U.S.-winning goal off a free kick in Friday's U.S.-Slovenia World Cup clash, may be dropped by FIFA for the rest of the World Cup, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Another goalkeeping blunder in the Australia-Ghana game.

Notice how these mistakes are all very similar. Sorry but I still blame it on the shit ball.

#1385167Post 310 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

Kind of blame the ball aswell but the goal keeper sucks too...

Penalty for Ghana! Fun game so far

#1385181Post 317 of 819

the ball moves to much while on the air, and is fast too !!!

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

i was talking about japan playing not to lose.. but i agree, holland has never been a team that plays with a lot of flair, more methodical, and you're right, with their skilled players, they should be able to add more to the game, but at least they've scored 3 goals and let in none, england with all their stars has 2 points and 1 goal, lol.. christ, i don't know if i even want to watch on wednesday

#1385183Post 319 of 819

Re: 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa

hey it only takes 1 game, they'll probably play a hell of a game wed. and get their confidence up for the rest of the tournament
