Just as a curiosity, we ran a company-wide poll over here at the office, for prizes, where everybody was asked to vote for the 2 teams going through from each group, here are the predictions I made (FYI, this was voted on the day the WC started) :

because he didn't like it over there whenhe was in Germany early in his career, he came back, plays in the MLS and now they won't let him go which is why his loan spell was not extended

Great effort from the US in the second half... imo deserves the draw but Slovenia can make some serious damage before the end of the game... Very nice match
