I thought it was an incredibly exciting game, turnovers sure, but never a dull moment ...and favre, what a tough tough individual, that guy doesn't quit and you know he was in a ton of pain... it was amazing to see a game like that end with a field goal, but that was one excellent kick!

I got goosebumps watching the saints crowd filled with so much joy in that stadium given all that the New Orleans community has been through...

Congrats to New Orleans and their fans. :D

On the flip, I think Payton actually gets more motivation from knowing the Saints will be the team most spectators will be rooting for...and although I'm 100% behind the saints, I think the colts will most likely come out on top...but we'll see ;)

now, before all you favre homos jump all over me I'll preface this by saying, yes he played extremely well this season, and yes AP needs to hang on to the ball, and I really thought the Vikes were going to win, which they probably shold have had they not left at least 9 points on the field with those turn overs in FG range..

BUT, there you have what I called in the beginning of the season, and it happened at the most important time in the most important game, Brett goes Brett and lobs up a ridiculous pass that even a rookie knows better than to do.. when all he had to do was run forward for a few yards, but no, he's the gun slinger. Well, now he can sling himself into retirement, because everything he did during the season means absolutely nothing now, and he'll be remembered exactly how he was going to be remembered when he played his last game for the Packers. The only thing that sucks about them not going to the super bowl is the speculation about will he or won't he be back starts two weeks earlier. God bless him for getting the shit knocked out of him for 60 minutes and getting right back up, but the look on his wife's face said a lot, she deffo doesn't want to see her husband go thru that again, and next year he'll be another year older and people will be coming for him all year after the season the Vikes just had. And ffs, someone get AP a new pair of gloves, because the ones he has aren't doing the job, lol

should be a great super bowl, I'm torn between who I want to see win

Too bad there had to be losers in the Championship games. Favre in another Super Bowl would have been a great story, but the Saints in their first against the Colts is just as good. Plus, it's the two best teams all season long get to settle it in the final game.

I think Favre will be back. If he can still play then he should play. The Vikings easily could be in the Super Bowl so they should try again next year. I think once Favre rests up then he'll want to be back.

I think Favre is the man, superbowl or not, the saints were literally trying to take him out, and were receiving serious penalties on several attempts... me makes QB's like alabama's Greg McElroy look like pussies (for not returning to the game). imo.

yeah its very depressing that it had to go down like that...but there is no one in pro football that could have taken a beating like that and still get up and play pretty damn good. everyone wants to blame him for throwing the pic....but i put the blame on the rest of the team. where was the oline protection?? i mean after a few hits its got to mess with your head somewhat. if it wasnt for farve they wouldnt even be in the postion to kick the game winning field goal.

u watch next year if he doesnt play how much worse the vikings will be.

he had no one in front of him, he rolled out and threw it back across the field, even rookies know you dont do that, but that's what he's ALWAYS done and it's how his career with green bay ended, lol.. so yes that pick was his fault

I felt so bad for Farve. Some of our fans were cheering when he got hurt. I was pissed about that. We sit on the visitors side and could see him hobble over to the cart and it looked like he was going to be taken out of the game. But they just rewrapped his ankle, and that tough son of bitch got back up and went back onto the field. Of course he could have just been bluffing us. I seriously hope he comes back next year. It would be a shame to see his career end like that.

That said, the game was a blast. I've never seen or heard the Dome like that. Even louder than last week. My wife and I had a fantastic time, never a dull moment. I was so nervous the entire time, I literally almost threw up on several occations. I couldn't even drink my beer. Back and forth and back and forth, the whole time. We played like shit though, it was so nerve racking. When that kick went through the uprights, the place went nuts. People were cheering and crying, it was such a good feeling.

We have to play an extremely solid game if we are going to win in Miami.
