So I awoke this morning to news that Brett Favre has landed in the Twin Cities today and will be signing a 1 year deal with my favorite sports team in the world...the Minnesota Vikings!
Favreapalooza has set in here in the Twin Cities complete with video footage of Favre landing in St. Paul aboard owner Zygi Wilf's private jet :lol:

Honesty the local news channels had their helicopters following the Escalade driven by our coach (Brad Childress) with Brett Favre in the passenger seat on their way to practice! What a sad joke that is on our society :roll:

The latest news is that Tavaris will be traded or released in the next week. Sorry T-Jack it just didn't workout. I feel terrible for both T-Jack and Sage Rosenfels...they busted their asses and now they get to take a backseat to Brett Favre...
It now looks like the Packers vs. Vikings Sunday night game this year has a chance to be the most watched regular season football game EVER.
One other negative side effect of Favreapalooza here in Minnesota is that ticket prices are skyrocketing online :(

first of all, i never said anything about not liking the vikings and i dont care what #28 does to the bucs, i'm not an avid fan and give two shits about what the bucs do or do not do this season

second of all, im not a favre hater, i would feel the same about any asshole athlete that keeps the nfl in limbo every off season for the past 4 years, teary retirement after teary retirement, it's a bit old.. i never had a problem with jerry rice playing at 42, or montana playing until he retired.. i was a huge MJ fan until he couldnt make up his mind to finally sit the fuck down for good

i like the bucs, not an avid supporter.. i put too much energy into english football to worry too much about any one nfl team. you know me, i like sports in general, and follow them quite a bit.. i like watching nfl, and i do like college football better though

this is the same right arm and shoulder that crapped out last year right? He didn't end up having off season surgery right? So how is he gonna make it through the season? In his last few games last year he had like 2 or 3 completions for over 20 yards. Btw don't hate favre, just tired of hearing about him and of watching him hold teams hostage. Vikings will be the latest victims. Although you'd think he'd get them farther thn Rosenfelds or Jackson.

gotta admit he looked really good again on monday night. Granted there was no defensive pressure but he still looked great for his age...pretty agile and just ridiculous rocket passes.

farve so far for the season just under 70%completion and a 109.7 passer rating...and the 1st 6-0 start in his career

yeah, i never had anything bad to say about his ability, it was the way he went around his on again off again bullshit that made it look like he was above the game that was annoying.. the guy is an amazing athlete.. but.. he wouldn't be where he is with out the receivers catching his prayer passes, and that can be said of a lot of qb's
something i've never understood in this sport, a qb can throw the ball 2 yards (this is an example, not on a specific play or anything to do with your boyfriend mr farveree) lol but, the qb throws it 2 yards let's say, and the receiver breaks tackles, makes moves and runs for 60 odd yards, and the qb gets credit for a 60 plus yard pass completetion, lol.. what?!

I'm not saying he's not good, and I really dont care if he wins the super bowl or not, but like that TD against San Fran, yeah, nice throw, but it would have meant fuck all if the receiver (which the arrogant self involved asshole that favre is "doesn't even know who that guy is") hadn't made an absolutely amazing catch at the very back of the end zone.. and i would hope most qb's getting paid to throw the damn ball can throw it at least 60 yards, or else what are they doing in the NFL? heaving a ball as far as you can isn't as impressive as the athletes running down the field guessing where its going to end up.. hasn't Favre thrown the most int's in NFL history? lol.. yeah, he's definitely an accurate passer ;)
