yeah, i agree, that thing touched nothing but the bottom of the net, too bad it was the outside of the net, lol

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

There's no question blaming the officials is lame, but with 35 seconds left and Celtics stomping all over the dominating team of the night, why did the refs quickly change their mind without more review? If the magic would have been given the ball as the refs initial call suggested, with 35 seconds left and just down by one, the magic would have had a full 30 seconds to decide how to win...I think even Celtics fans found it tough to watch that game end the way it did  ffs

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

i hope the rockets can keep this up!! big question. love how artest is getting in kobe's head.

#1217188Post 86 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^I think the league will rescind the technical upon reviewal. I think Artest actually bit his tounge as he indicated and responded that way after the play was ended by the refs. If that did happen, it's not like Artest would go tell the refs not to give Kobe the technical, you know? Could also all be bs.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

that was a flop... i didn't realize the nba could retract that play. i don't know how they could just because its hard to recall points, etc. BUT... i think i may have spoke too soon also, damnit.

houston looked good with the home spirit in the first half but second half is so far looking more like i was afraid of. :(

ps - i hate the announcers. no love for houston.

Lakers are going to win this game handedly , I think the Magic / Celtics game will be much closer and hopefully with a Magic win!

Will be a close game and hopefully van Gundy will again coach his team out of the playoffs. GO CELTICS! BTW huge props to the heart of the Rockets. Very impressed with them.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

SO glad to see Cleveland lose finally.. what the hell happened to Prince James? all bent over like he's hurt, lol.. or, just crying because someone actually challenged them? seriously though, really happy to see Orlando win :) too bad denver folded last night, or Stern would be shitting himself right now, lol

#1222416Post 101 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

HELL YEAH!!!! first time cavs lost at home since when???? forever

that was awesome

said earlier today if magic can pull game 1 in cleveland they WILL beat the cavs

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

now they know it wont be easy .... they need to execute plays, only thing they were doing was open the court for lebron .. .thats not gonna work van gundy is the better coach of the 2 , and i think this will matter

#1222678Post 103 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

so, Lebron, mr next big thing was tired? cramping? lol.. he has had 17 days off between the 2 series' they just won and he's tired? i think comparing him to jordan and kobe needs to stop until his team actually wins something

maybe he should watch the video of scottie pippen scraping jordan off the floor after battling the flu :)

^^^ he is still young next year when he'll be playing for the Knicks maybe

#1222723Post 106 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

i know, and i'm not hating or doubting how good he is.. im jsut sick of the media and espn pushing this kobe v lebron match up since the play offs started like it was a foregone conclusion.. and pushing all the jordan comparisons.. who cares! let them play, and let us enjoy the games

this is the first year since jordan retired the second time that i've even had any bit of interest in the nba

#1222726Post 107 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^ nice point.

as versatile as it is -- i usually turn down the espn and co. after while, and try to watch the games as is (while doing something else). :what

trying to find a channel where i can access games without the commentaries and glamours; and just the games in real time play. is that possible btw.?

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

not sure, doubt it though.. i do like tnt though, chuck is great

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

Lebron definitely hurt his ankle last night. He was limping and making faces like he was in pain after he went up for that layup near the end. Reporters asked him if his ankle was hurt, he denied it, but I think otherwise.

#1222778Post 110 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

whatever, its an excuse so when they lose every one can say, well, lebron was hurt, he wasnt himself.. blah blah blah, lol

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

nuggets are going to win this one

#1222818Post 114 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

i can't believe you guys don't want lebron to win. lebron is a phenominal basketball player and i certainly think he's good for the nba. he is, in his own way, humble but arrogant... and definitely fun as hell to watch. i still hope he can pull out a title because i think he deserves it. he's worked hard to improve all around this year and the nba is a lot more popular with him around. definitely right up there with MJ, imo. his team needs to step up though!

as much as i would prefer to see the nuggets beat the lakers, a big part of me wants to see kobe vs lebron. who wants to bet the games are officiated "a certain way" so we will see that match-up?

#1222848Post 115 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^nah, just seems that way when the team you want to win looses. The magic will be up against the lakers in the end, but would be cool to see the nuggets beat the lakers. It's over for the cavs this season.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

im not arguing he's a great talent, but dont crown someone king james when he's done fuck all so far
what the hell happened to Prince James? all bent over like he's hurt, lol.. or, just crying because someone actually challenged them?
WTF!?!?! the guy scored 49points and is 23 years old. u cant win on your own....

dont u know a star when u see one. u have to have players around u and on the bench to win in the nba.

he made the cavs turn from garbage into a consistent playoff team...all in his early 20's.

i wouldnt count him out.

#1222982Post 118 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^ but by the same token, a star can really shine amongst a bunch of sub-par players. If you watch him play with the dream team, kobe's the one that shines more. All the comparison stuff is a bunch of crap between kobe and lebron, they both have different talents in different areas.

He just needs to stand the test of time, comparing him to MJ so early is a mistake too imo.

The best of the best always receives the most criticism though so who knows for sure, he's definitely amazing to watch.

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

is it just me or have these playoffs (Except the last couple games) have been boring as hell. Where are the buzzer beaters??

#1223016Post 120 of 236

Re: 2009 NBA Playoffs.

^It is definitely just you, there have been several huge buzzer beaters before the half as well as at the end of games.
