Diffuser hearing today. Will be very interesting to hear the result :?:[/quote]
I think this hearing will be a bit of a waste of time - not only does the FIA, through its President Mosley, not think the teams have broken any rules, but also two sets of race stewards, Melbourne and Sepang, found nothing 'illegal' in the diffusers.
Additionally race speed and positions confirm that whilst Brawn are certainly way ahead of the field, both the Red Bulls and BMW's are quite close by - after all had Vettel and Kubica not clashed in Melbourne, two 'non-diffuser' teams would have been on the podium - with the possibility that Kubica actually might have passed Button - his tyres were out performing Buttons by a mile and was only a couple of seconds behind.
Lets ignore the fact that Ferrari and McLaren failed to get to grasp with these new rules - mainly due to fighting for the championship last year till the very last race, or lets ignore the fact that Red Bull has been out shone by its B team of Torro Rosso last year and so far this year, and whilst we're forgeting stuff, lets forget the BMW can clearly on the right stratagy fight with the Brawn, and whilst Williams have the diffuser they are still unable to convert good qualifying with high point finishes.
My point being there is far more to these cars, especially the Brawn and the Toyota, than the damn diffuser - me thinks last years big three should stfu and just improve their cars - after all they all have similar huge budgets to Toyota, who are having an excellent start to the season, mainly due to inspired strategy as opposed to the diffuser.
I hope the court thorows this out so that we can continue with the season.
Just my 2 cents worth. . . .
