Guess Shilling shouldnt have ran his mouth so soon huh? 3 innings.. wow, lol

#279808Post 42 of 80

^ pretty much. i thought the sox might come back, but my boyz pulled through. but now i'm unsure of what to think. since the yankees are always badasses when they're down the opening game of a series. boston might just have a chance.

yeah right!

Re: Hey Yankee fans

Mussina looked like the guy that used to win 18+ games. Curt looked like something was bothering him, his location was way off. Red Sox fan here ....Yankees are still your daddy.

Re: Hey Yankee fans

Let me just say I'm a huge Yankees fan and will defend my team at any time, but if you can't give the Red Sox HUGE props for making that comeback then your absolutely not a Baseball fan.

Last night was what I call a real Baseball brawl. Not 2 teams beating each other up with fists but with pitching and hitting. Go Yanks but but HUGE props to the Redsox.

Re: Hey Yankee fans

I was at the game last night and the Sox looked like the ones who sucked. Schilling was horrible.....3 innings of work? Give me a break. Sox made it interesting but Rivera prevailed. 1 zip...

#279972Post 48 of 80

well, not to make excuses for Shilling, and I dont really care who wins (as long as it isnt NY, lol..j/k) but isn't his ankle fucked? I heard them saying he wasnt able to pitch right because of his ankle ligament or some shit.

#280014Post 49 of 80

Shilling is done. We cannot count on him to take us into the world series. His ankle is fucked. We just have to hope pedro has an outling like his last one vs the angels.

The sox will prevail, lets go get game 2!!!

Re: Hey Yankee fans

I think Schilling is da man, but when you say make comments like there's nothing better than shutting up 50,000 NY fans then you get what's coming to you.

but who would've thought to such an extreme? lol

3 innings and 6 runs was it?

#280154Post 52 of 80

his ankle had beeen bothering him all season according to the announcers. but in yankee stadium with the pressure on, it hurt a little more than usual. great friggin game last night though.

I agree.. especially for someone like me who isnt a fan of either team. I really thought the Sox were going to at least take it too extra innings. But you knew when Rivera came on it was over. That bloke is not bad is he. lol

Not sure if you saw the stats on Rivera v. The Red Sox.

Rivera has blown 14 out of the last 122 Games v. All other MLB teams

Rivera has blown 7 out of the last 22 Games v. Boston

I guess they're his Daddy's

Re: Hey Yankee fans

I would love the Yankees to beat the sox only so they can lose in the World Series!

I hate the Yankees, I can't stand them... there a good team, I just dont like them. that's it.

Re: Hey Yankee fans

In regards to my post above.. It would also be sweet for them to lose 4 straight to the Red Sox... ohhh how sweet indeed it would be.

I thought most Yahkee fans had left during the 6th game... it was sooo quiet.

All I know is that I can't handle the drama and lack of sleep these games have caused me... I have fallen of the wagon and started to drink again...

The fat lady has sung. And the Red Sox have accomplished the greatest comeback in the history of the game. Against a $190 million payroll at that!

Who's your daddy now!

:TNF:

dont forget the biggest collapse in history

Re: Hey Yankee fans

^^ What seemed like the impossible a few days ago is now a reality. Unbelievable, grats to the red sox.

#283138Post 66 of 80

Was A-Rod crying at the end? Sure looked like it to me.

#283143Post 67 of 80

congrats to the red sox. they played hard and earned the impossible. i tip my hat. but they are not my daddy! :Naughty:

WOW.... good stuff, moments like these is why i love sports.

#283151Post 69 of 80

Re: Hey Yankee fans

Wow...might I actually have interest in the World Series this year??!!! I'm no baseball fan, about the only time I can get into it is the Series. But I am a sports fan. Seeing any team get that big of a monkey off their back is good theatre.

Now comes The Big One!!!! Can the Sox do it??!!! Can they break THE CURSE????

Who knows...but I will actually care about the World Series this year. Who knew???

#283152Post 70 of 80

hate both the red sox and the yankees but it's always nice to see a team with a $250 million payroll have the biggest choke of any playoff team ever. glad to see the $25 million spent on kevin brown and vasquez come up big

as a dodgers fan, thanks for taking him off our hands and giving us a young stud in brazoban who probably could have helped your bullpen.

#283155Post 71 of 80

one thing thats gonna suck is for the next 2 weeks we are gonna hear about that damn curse

#283279Post 72 of 80
Was A-Rod crying at the end? Sure looked like it to me.
hahaha, I noticed that too, and Jeter. They were probably crying about what Steinbrenner is going to do to them after he spent so much money trying to buy a world series trophy. A-Rod just needs to quit, as good as he is, he is always on an under acheiving club. He leaves Seattle, they all of a sudden became a good team, he leaves Texas, they all of sudden contend. He goes to the Yankees, and they become the 1st team to up 3-0 and lose the series. A-Rod is a bloody jinx.

#283283Post 73 of 80
A-Rod is a bloody jinx.
Now there's no need to get racist!

#283307Post 74 of 80

Re: Hey Yankee fans

This sucks!!!!!! It''s bad enough to lose, BUT to give up a 3-0 lead and lose the series too the Red Sox... SUCKS ASSSS

It will be a dark winter for me.

#283312Post 75 of 80

Peter Gammons was cumming all over himself on ESPN last night. The guy literally was slobbering out of the side of his mouth over the Sox. I didn't know wether to laugh, or call a vet for a rabies shot. (if you're not familiar with Gammons long obsession with the Sox, trust me, he was slobbering.)

Was good to see the sox win. Johnny Damon and his hippie doo, DAMN that injun came through! Ortizzle should be series MVP tho.

Gotta hang on for one more night Cards. I'd be a Gammons slobbering idiot if the series ended up Cards v Sox.

Bet your ass i'll be outside the park tonight either trying to get a ticket, or drinking massive amounts of beer at a bar nearby.

I noticed the same thing. He looked like the window-licker on the short bus.

Re: Hey Yankee fans

Well it's over now. What a great series. So much shit talking back n' forth... How about Schilling in the 6th game! Many talked shit about him and his 3 inning outing with 6 runs.... this time he went 7 and pretty much shut down the Yankees...

Re: Hey Yankee fans

Tribe destroyed the Yanks 22-0 this year!

#288341Post 80 of 80

Yankees Suck, that is what they get for trading away all there good pitchers. But you what would be even more hillarious if boston loses four straight to the cards and the Cards win the World Series. Yankee curse will be back then. But I don't think the Red Sox are going to lose that many games in a row.
