11 in a row.

nash has double doubles in every game.

amare also, double double's in every game/

marion has 4 triple doubles.

bell, diaw and barbosa all have double digit scoring too!!!!!!

WE ARE ON FIRE

during the streak, we played in the 4th highest scoring game ever, we are upping our defense, keeping opponents under 100 6 times, while foricng possessions in the 90s, and scoring more than 110 a few times.

i cant wait to get back into texas and rip the mavs and spurs a new one. the suns are rolling baby.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

didnt they do this two years ago?

Suns are amazing to watch and by far the most exciting team in the NBA... when it comes down to the playoffs / end of the season they lose their stride and collapse, Nash doesnt hold up usually his back as it is damn hard to keep the pace that they run at night in and night out... Amare is unstoppable but when he isnt 100% they cant beat a good western conf team in a 7 game series... Id love to see them make it past the western conference but it always seems that in the end they lose steam later in the season...

by far the toughest team to stop when they have all their guns firing... Wconf playoffs are going to be interesting this year, esp with the emergence of Utah again... I think Phoenix is much better than Utah but have to beat the Mavs / Spurs after or before that, if not Lakers who gave them all they could handle last yr...

like I said though, with a healthy Amare, suns are the toughest match up in the west... cheers

:Cheerz:

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

Yea they are on FIRE but we will see how they do in the playoffs. It seems as they always make a run like this somewhere in the season but can't seem to put together a 7 game series. Not that it matters what the Eastern Conference does because the West is so stacked but how about my Orlando Magic!!! They have one of the youngest lineups in the NBA if you take out Grant Hill and they have the best record in the East. Dwight Howard is pretty damn solid and to think he is just turned 21 last week I believe and is already in his 3rd season. I guess that isn't really anything different than any other young star in the league.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

we have been a playoff team for the last two years since nash arrived.

year 1,- joe johnson, our shooting guaard broke his eye socket against the surs in game 1, and we took it to 7 games without him, and the pistons beat the spurs.

year2, we didnt have amare or thomas- so diaw and tim thomas were playing power forward and center..and we beat the lakers and clippers and lost to the mavs. no one will beat the mavs with boris diaw playing eric dampier and desugana giop while marion is outside the paint on dirk.

this year. we have a healthy amare, deep bench, raja bell is playing great perimeter defense and shooting well, barbosa is emerging and diaw is taking more steps.

amare, once fully back, will prove he is the best power forward/center in the league. remember this is the guy who career wise has held duncan under 15 and averaged 40 on the spurs. and they own the heat. our big problem is the Mavs.
our big problem is the Mavs.
I agree and this could be the year they finally pull it out but then again it could the Suns year. There is also a LONG season left so only time will tell. Every team will take their lumps and bruises and hopefully nobody gets hurt bad enough to make a series change like the past couple of years.

I'm not a big fan of Iverson but you have to watch out wherever he goes because he could take a championship team and destroy them inside out or he could take a mediocre team and turn them into a championship contender. I can not stand him as an athlete. I hate the style he plays. If you ask me he is just as bad as Marberry but at least Iverson puts up the numbers unlike "starberry".

#771860Post 7 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

NAH. iverson is like arenas, tmac, carter, and kobe of past... they all hurt thier team instead of helping.

#771877Post 8 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

^^^^^ then we are on the same page. I think if he goes to a team that is a contender now, you just go ahead and clean their name out of the playoffs because he WILL implode a team. He is the NBA's version of T.O. A great athlete just stfu and play and don't destroy your team. Did you see the interview with T.O.? Parcells said he is so excited about the direction of the Cowboys that he wants to come back and coach them next year but he will NOT unless T.O. is gone.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

i became a suns fan in the early 90's. my sister is amazing at basketball, she got a full ride and started 4 years for BC. she would beat my ass in hoops when we were younger. she was a knicks fan, and i couldnt go there, so i looked west. charles barkley, kevin johnson, dan marleje.... that was a group of good players who played great together, various skill sets all around.

then.. i fell out of b-ball for a long time, the post jordan era brought nothing but chumps and egos ,and the game itself slowed down, with heavy defense and no offense. but then, about 3 years ago, steve nash came back to the suns, and they began playing a "ruker park run and gun"style of game, with less defense and a ton more offense. it became exciting again. shooting, three pointers, and big guys in the lane who dont play the duncan/shaq boring post up game, but slash and dunk, and step out and shoot. they run, flow, move the ball, are completely unselfish and entertain. i try to watch some teams like the spurs, pistons, heat, etc and they are just boring.\

and the suns beat the heat last night, after a late game scare making it 12 wins in a row.

You see the white boy come off the bench for Miami? I don't even know his name but he made a crazy ass three point play then drilled a 3 ball to tie it before Nash took over.

#772647Post 14 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

i don't think the game was ever tied. miami got within 4 or 5, but then phoenix pulled away.

#772687Post 15 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

yeah it was a 5 point game... and the heat had a 3 pointer literally roll in and out, and the suns had it after that.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

13 in a row... Diaw rolled inwith a Triple Double last night too... they keep rolling...

cheers

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

word !!!

we didnt have the game at the bar i was at, but i caught the sportscenter....

diaw's 5th TD of his suns career.... nash though had only 5 assists. but again, some clutch shooting and the best point guard in the league got it done.

at least it will be fun to watch them until march.

Damn this team seems unstopable....when will it end?

#775650Post 24 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

streak broken. arenas is the best shooter since bird. he hit a shot from about 45 feet away at one point and it looked like a free throw, nothing but net.

but it was a great game all around with the suns having 6 in double figures, and a dominant performance by amare inside. marion as well was all over the place.

but the loss had a little to do with the layover in denver's blizzard and the team came out flat early on. the suns sub's were the second story of the eve after gilbert's show. the bench twice came back from being 10+ down to take the lead. nash was money, but flat, he got exposed on defense, and raja bell couldnt stop arenas, he would be all over him and hand in face, and gilbert would still swish it.

oh well, one loss to stop the best streak in the NBA in 7 years. and washingotn has a history of doing, being the one team to stop the top 6 streaks ever in the NBA.

go suns go.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

I've been a Suns fan since early 90s and loving the fact they're back to performing well. Unfortunately I don't get to watch many of the games and stay up to date, but go Suns. Nash, you are amazing.

thesightless, you make me want to watch basketball again..the enthusiasm....i too picked suns for mainly charles barkley..i think one of the most underated players (could be wrong)...but lost intrest as well after that whole era

#782902Post 34 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

it aint hard to pay attention to basketball when u live on the east coast. all the games are played at 830 and 1030 PM, so i always end up catching em while dicking around on the computer and lying in bed. hell it beats the shit out of the crap the TV networks are playing outside of HBO sunday and NBC monday. outside of those 2 nights, and the occasional adult swim show, i only watch sports. they are real life drama, baseball in particular and basketball secondly, as both sports give you games every day, and you see the rise and fall of a player in a season.

#782907Post 35 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

living near niagara falls doesn't give much chance to catch basketball unless its the raptors (which blow donkey balls) or the ordering the sports channel...which i don't enough tv for that

#782910Post 36 of 59

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

umm, basketball is nationally covered by ESPN and TNT wednesday thruogh sunday. monday and tuesday are the only nights were you dont get national games.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.
they are goin down when the Cavs come to town
you were saying something?

nash had 20 assits. marion with a double double with 4 steals, 3 blocks, and an assist\

teamwise(which is the only way to talk about them), on 37 baskets made, they had 33 assists. amare dominated all game, and thematrix held lebron in check through 3 quarters, only getting 19, but scoring 14 in the 4th.

jones, bell, and THE BULLET LEANDRO BARBOSA, all had great games too. each in double scoring figures with assists, rebounds and steals.

boris diaw as well played a brilliant inside-out game, scoring at will in the paint and drawing ilgouskis out often to clear the lane for a driving nash/stoudamire combo play.

and finally they are getting the respect they deserve for thier defense. defensively they are...... top 3, in point differential(2nd), opponents scoring per possession(1st), and 3rd in holding oppenents feild goal %

http://www.nba.com/ front page has all of nash's assists up as a video, watch it, and tell me he isnt the best player on the planet right now. he isnt quite the pure scorer that areans and kobe are, but he brings the rest, and its no wonder his teams, for the last 8 years, have lead the league in scoring, and people have career ywars playing with him.
