Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

last year, they had the MIP and MVP, and conference finals. this year, looking like MVP, comeback player of year, and the MIP.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.
Naturally, nobody's talking about them. Everyone's tired of hearing about Nash at this point, and since they don't have the best record in the league, there isn't any urgency to make a fuss about them. But if you care about basketball at all, if the sport has ever meant anything to you, if you remember the Magic-Bird Era fondly in any way, if you're remotely interested in watching a professional sports team peak ... then you need to follow the Suns. They're sniffing at true greatness. I'm not saying it will happen, just that it could. You never imagined that an NBA team could score 111 points a game, shoot 51 percent from the field, shoot 81 percent from the line, make 40 percent of its 3s, double as the best transition team since the Showtime Lakers and still manage to be half-decent defensively, right?
this is why i tune in every game i can. monday night was brilliant and his 4 point, 22 assist game last week just goes to show you how he can dominate a game while scoring 4 points. its simply scary. at 6 feet, he isnt much on defense, but he plays very actively on double team defense, never allowing himself to be taken one on one.

10 in a row (again) !!!! to invoke the new commercials for the NBA.... i really am wondering if this team will have all 5 starters above 20 in a game, and it might just be possible to score 200 points in a game. heck, they are scoring 140 against teams in regualr play, someone gimme a triple OT game against the wizards or sonics so we can finally hit the 200 points mark. most exciting team in a LONG TIME. all hail steve nash.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

y i have been a nash fan since his first tour with the suns cavs deserve to lose by giving up 33 pts in the first qtr suns shooting was on fire but they will lose in the playoffs like they always do hahahaha!

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

with their track record of injuries at the very end of the seasons and into the playoffs, i wouldnt be surprised to see them have to face dallas in the conference finals and amare go down with another knee injury.

13 in a row again!

and 3 starters sat out in the 4th quarter and they still won by 30!!!

the matrix is on fire as of late, having the "jose reyes" boxscore. something in every category. 17 points, 20 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, a few blocks.... not bad for a small forward.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

Doesn't matter if they win 50 in a row Dallas owns them Suns can't play defense

you dont watch basketball. dont tell me you do.

suns right now are top 3 in a few defensive stats in the west.

opp's FG % scoring differential and opponents score per possession.

its just that they would rather have 60 possessions than 30. they push, let ppl people take dumb shots, double team, tend to keep the opposing scorer not names arenas in check.

but im not arguing the dallas thing. they played twice so far and split the series. and the dallas win came from dirk hitting a 3 pointer with 0.1 on the clock.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

Granted I don't watch basketball as much due interest and time but Dallas has too much talent I love Shaun Marion watched him at UNLV still root for him and being a Laker fan it is not comforting to admit that Dallas and that ponce of an owner will win the title this year but they will lock down the Suns come playoff time 2 Time MVP be damned.
you said that last time and they had 33 assists on 37 shots, ripping lebron a new one.
 oh yeah.... :p but now the suns are on the road and have to deal with the time change

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

road?

41-20 after the first quarter! thats a whole game of florida beating on MIT's beasketball team. nash actually has more assist points and feild goals than the whole wizards team in the first. bell and barbosa are hot from deep, and diaw seems to be attacking the net.

its on NBA TV right now.

haltime--

76 to 51 phnx. ouch, 6 players already in double figures. 2 with double doubles. (mind you, its halftime) nash is putting on a clinic right now. but so is arenas, he has been on fire for the last 9-10 minuttes.

Re: THE Phoniex Suns everyone.

another good win, onthe second of a back to back night game for phoenix, and i had the pleasure of being courtside to watch the best player since jordan. steve nash, is simply insane. he and marion were amazing in the first half, keeping them hot as the shooting was way off early on, and eddie curry of the knicks was dominating underneath. then in the second half, nash just imposed his will, running pick and rolls all night with stoudimare. there were about 10 instances i was like "how did he even see him>!?!??! after passing to amare and shawn for layups and dunks.

these guys are truly on the way to being a historic team offensively. and thier defense is getting better, still not a break down defense like san antonio or detroit, but getting better.

8im telling you, if you were ever a fan of the game b4 jordan left, especially if you are from boston or LA and remember the 80's teams, you owe it your self to try to catch thier games, they are nothing short of the best offense since the celtics in the early 80's

15 in a row again, lets hope they can focus on defense, cuz dallas is in their way, and they can easily beat everyone else. but dallas is the tough one, and thier loss to dallas came from dirk hitting a 3 with no time left to take the lead. again, without the dallas last second loss, and the "2hour game" (they arrived in AZ 2 hours b4 tipoff, and drove 40 minutes to the arena, got dressed and played after a 3 day layoff in denver), they would be on a 32 game winning streak...
