Re: Goodbye Zinedine

I thought he was immense against the Brazilians. It seems he has realised that every game could be his last from now on and is upping the stakes and actually looks bothered, which is a contrats to some of his more recent games in the past year

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

:Anal: That was an impressive game of "soccer".

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

Don't know much about him or the footy in general, but that was a classy way to end a career.

Oh, and way to help your team, sporty.

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

classic move imo. did you see that guy go down? italian wanker :p

#667787Post 13 of 146

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

You don't have to take my word for it:
"Zidane being sent off changed everything," France coach Raymond Domenech said. ....

"It's regrettable," Domenech said. "We regret it, he regrets it."
I don't know footy, but I know sports, and I know you can't help your team from the bench.

But hey, who needs the world cup when you can get the adulation of interweb geeks? :Bingo: ;)

no one denies his talent and skills, but he has no class. remember this is the 2nd time he did this...

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

Good for that pompous french cunt (domenech) who called the portuguese a bunch of savages and troublemakers.

FUCK him, and the high horse he rode in on.

God, I can´t fucking stand the French, and believe me, I´ve been to France enough times to know what I´m saying.

Their only redeeming moment was the elimination of Brazil.

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

Thier only redeeming moment was when they helped us beat the english. nice move asshat. everyone is gonna ask ""what if he was in the shootout"" for ages. and he won the golden ball award too. moron. im happy though, im italian, and my neighborhood is italian, so yesterday there was just a few hundred drunk people in out streets going bezerk.

#667818Post 20 of 146

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

weak ass headbutt. didn't even hit his head. as typical in soccer, the other guy went down in a manner that should win an oscar.

#667821Post 21 of 146

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

thats exactly why it will never be huge in america. too many sissy girls falling around flopping and laying down for 3 minutes then suddenly they can get back up and run around. that and lack of offense. i grew up with soccer, love playing it, but cant watch it a lot. just so slow if you arent really paying attention tot he skill moves at midfeild and ball placement with downfeild dumps.

It makes you wonder what in the hell did Materrazi tell Zidane???

Re: Goodbye Zinedine
It makes you wonder what in the hell did Materrazi tell Zidane???
from what I heard on the radio he called his sister a whore twice and then insulted Zidane himself.
no one denies his talent and skills, but he has no class. remember this is the 2nd time he did this...
And the first time was like 4 or 5 years ago. So?

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

reports says that materrazi calls him a terrorist 'cos he's of albanian decent

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

hahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahaaahahhahahahaha golden.

hey if ur a pro athlete and dont realize you are gonna hear the most vile shit, you need a new job. when bonds father died, people were telling him they pissed on the grave because bonds took steriods, and a lot worse. barry married a white woman, so that was a topic as well. shit the NY jets players hear it form their own fans, and in philly the fans have tried to attack players.

Re: Goodbye Zinedine
reports says that materrazi calls him a terrorist 'cos he's of albanian decent
Little detail: Zidane doesn't have Albanian but Amazigh (Berber) roots...

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

they used to sing about Beckhams kid having cancer - which i thought was a bit much

(on the topic of insults to sportsfolk)

#667957Post 29 of 146

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

^on a similar note, made me think of this..

someone was blasting Vernon Maxwell using the N word about his stillborn daughter several years ago when he played for the Houston Rockets...Vernon went into the stands and punched the guy's lights out. 10 game suspension and fine. lol.

+10 for Vernon imo. I would have done the same thing.
from what I heard on the radio he called his sister a whore twice and then insulted Zidane himself.
I wasn?t far from the truth then...not even a very original or vile insult and yet Zidane fell for it.

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

Here is alledgeldy a translation of what happened - appreantly this was broadcast on Talksport in the UK.

I have no idea if its true or not - just posting from another forum - so dont blame me.

Zidane whilst Materazzi is holding him:

ZZ: "Ordinanza de tirare il costume!!" (stop pulling on my shirt!!)

MM": "Taciti, enculo, hai solamente cio che merite..." (shut up f*cker, you only get what you deserve)

ZZ: "si e cio..." (yes, sure...)

While Zidane starts to move away, Materazzi goes:

MM: "meritate tutti ci?, voi gli enculato di musulmani, sporchi terroristici" (all of you deserve that, fcking Muslims, terrorist bstards)

Zidane proceeds to headbutt him.

Re: Goodbye Zinedine

Weak...isn't sports supposed to be a time away from shit like that??

And he's Algerian, right?? I'm not saying there isn't any, but Algeria isn't a major terrorist state. Correct me if I'm wrong.
