Re: World Cup 2006

the penalty for italy was a harsh call, but you have to wonder what the aussie player was doing down on the floor in front of the italian, of course hes gonna go down with a player on the floor right in front of him, why would be go around him when he can just flop over him. harsh call, but really the defenders fault for putting himself in that position imo.

yip as harsh as it seemed on australia it was the correct decision. from a footballing point of view Id rather have the italians that the ausies. oh and btw Mark Viduka had a rubish tournament for them imho

^^^

lol, yeah man, shame we have to play England already, I would love to see both in the final. It reminds me of that quarter-final game in Euro 2004, that to me was the true final of that competition, unforgetable game!

Alas, we?ll be forced to kick your ass again :D

However, I must remember to stay away from MS on that day, or I might say something I regret...not a great idea to come on an internet forum while drunk in the middle of a footie match like this...

Brazil plays so lame and even scored a goal though the player was offside..gotta love that. :x

Re: World Cup 2006

LMAO...did anybody watch the 3:0? Ze Roberto lifting the ball over the keeper and making a goal while chewing relaxed on a gum. I so wish Germany or another team can wipe that arrogance away.

Re: World Cup 2006

im glad italy beat australia. i would have been glad even if the ref would have scored the goal with his own hand. socceroos? lmao imo

im still waiting for italy to wake up and kick some ass!

^^ tomtomtom... they're good and they know it. imo the teams that are still in it, are the main contenders -ukraine

Re: World Cup 2006

I know they are very good but I wanna see them sweating if a better team finally challenges them to do more. So far it was an easy showjumping course for them sadly.

[quote=algy]Yeah.. sorry, it's not typical, but must agree that Latin style is much more thrilling and higher scoring.

BTW.. anyone have to sneak the games while at work?? This is what I have to resort to:

Still seems like u got it sorted, at least u get to watch the games. I on the other get to watch them on a 65inch plasma with a HD transmission.. 8) Makes the games so much more enjoyable. My job is handy in some ways ;)

Fuck the Italians and their cattanacio...

But Spain going home, bummer... That's almost as shitty as Brasil beating Ghana.

As for that game: WILL SOMEONE PLEASE SEND THOSE HOMO'S HOME? I haven't seen such uninspired soccer from the samba boys since... I dunno since when.

I'll be using my hands to throttle that cheating gobshite Henry - absolutely shameless piece of play-acting. I hope it all end in tears from him - the sooner Uefa ban the actors & divers the quicker it will be stamped out. Here's hoping the French va va voom it out next round to Goofy, Kaka & Crew.

yup. henry is an utter cunt. and to think he was whining about the barca players diving after the champs league final. shame on him.

you think the France - Spain game was boring??

#661109Post 471 of 725

Re: World Cup 2006

I don´t really like France, I have mixed feelings regarding Spain, so in the end it really didn´t matter who won this, I´m just happy that Zidane still has at least one more game to delight the true football fans.

And anyway, I support anyone who plays against Brazil, so France it is then.

Strange as it may sound, I want Brazil to lose almost as bad as I wish for Portugal to win this. I swear I´ll bust a nut as soon as they´re out, and then I´ll go outside and get all Nelson Muntz on their faces, saying "a-ha!" to every brazilian I meet.

Re: World Cup 2006

its a shame Ghana couldn't win. They are not the prettiest playing team, but they shoot at that goal a lot. Kinda of nice to watch a team attacking the goal as much as them. Too bad Brazil won. I fuckn hate them. They have yet to play a good well known team.

As for the France vs. Spain match, wtf? France actually played or did Spain choke like they always do? dunno. The only highlight from that game was Zidane scoring. I hate the France but Zidane is A-OK. :Gay:
