Re: Sox Vs Yanks

14 starting pitchers and we still are in the hunt, the yanks deserve some props. offense underacheived though.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

The Yanks and Sox are the same team this year. Both teams have good hitters, injured / shitty pitching. The only. diff between us and the Sox is that the Sox are well known for smacking in a winning run in the 9th, where as the yanks have to bust their ass to get that winning run. Not like last year with our 60 something comeback wins.

that and the yanks pitching have been playing the ""bitch"" role for not drilling the fat ape/human half breed ortiz. i hope someone puts one off his helmet sooner than later.

Great point. No matter how much respect and how much I root for Mussina I think he's the biggest pussy. He nevere sends protect or retaliates. This is why I love Sheff, the man takes no shit and Tanyon that's another guy who'll protect his teammates.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

if i were torre or girardi, i would pull randy aside and just say

""if your first pitch to ortiz doesnt hit him in the shoulder, your in trouble with kangaroo court."

we need to hit first , cuz the warning will be issued, and let the sox pitcher get ejected when he retaliates against AROD or jeter.

hey jenks.

go check out the espn poll today.

jones is ahead of pujols by a 2 to 1 margin for mvp.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

If i've got to pick one of the two players to be on my team, i'm taking Pujols over Jones in a heartbeat.

Stats don't lie.

The problem with these online polls is these knob jockies and kids just look at homeruns, not the overall player. If they looked at overall stats, they'd clearly see Pujols smoking Jones in almost every category.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

yanks win, sox lose,

yanks 1.5 off the division lead with an easier series ahead this weekend, and sox with another series with oakland. clevland charging.

wouldnt it be wicked if the yanks completely knocked the sox out of the playoffs in boston next weekend.

sick if the yanks took the division lead and cleveland took wildcard.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

I heard earlier today there is a push from boston and other fans/writers to give the MVP to Ortiz.

LAME IDEA.

I don't care how you're mashing the ball, a freaking DH doesn't deserve MVP. That's the easiest job in baseball.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

Man, this is getting intense. Ortiz and Manram pulled one out to stay ahead of the Yanks last night.

This is one of the better years in baseball coming down the stretch i've seen in awhile.

COMPLETE AGREEMENT

even as a yanks fan i love it more than ever. im watching every game every night on the baseball package from cable co.

its crazy, the whole fucking league is up for grabs in the AL.

it quite literally could come down to Oct2, in Fenway with 1 spot left for the playoffs, also its possible that the yanks and sox might end up having a 4th game for a playoff. baseball is nuts and i cant get enough.:p

sox gotta be freaking a bit cause thier pitching isnt as good as it should with their staff and the yanks are right behind with no one but KC and the O's left.

yanks fans should be happy considering we are working with 1 pitcher from the opening day roster (Unit), wright and mussina are hurt, but the trio of wang, chacon, and Small (9-0) have been insane.

Cleveland and Chicago are going to have to earn it from each other and cleveland is steamrolling right now. can the sox pitching hold em down. and the athletics and angels hold thier own destinies too.

your right this one is the best a long time. nothing in the AL is locked, NL wildcard is still up for grabs too.
