Big series this weekend.Frankly I think the Sox will take 2 of 3 and thus wrapping up the AL East.So what do you Yankee fans gotta say about that. :P

I hope not. I couldn't take what happened last year.

Go Yankees !!

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

hoenestly, im scared, but dont talk shit, our entire staff has been hurt all year and your franchises best player is nothing more than a frozen head.

you won one. we won 26.

just say thanks to the notion of the wildcard.

im not blind to the truth.

however you guys are fucked if schilling doesnt pick it up. BUT, and a big BUT, he is a big game pitcher.

oh i just remembered something.... when the fuck did we acquire Bellhorn? watching sportscenter the other day (out of my ears) and i hear:

"Mark Bellhorn has his first hit as a yankee, and its a homerun!"

Cool :!: :?: :!:

#471394Post 6 of 53

I am going to laugh if the yankee's don't make the playoff. The highest payroll in baseball and there fighting for a playoff. Money don't buy champsionships.

I hate the SOX, I hope the yanks SWEEEP them....

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

dude, we have had 15 different starters, its not like we are the dominant team that has been beaten. (last year). we arent as good as we were in the past. i personally cant expect a lot until we get a rotation thats somewhat solid.

and PS. your favorite little moron will be playing center feild for NY next year when steinbrenner offers damon a ton of money.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

I have tickets for all three games. I'm going with my girl who lives in Boston and is a big Red Sox fan. I'm a die hard Yankees fan. So she's going to be all Red Sock decked out, which in-turn will get me decked out by some angry Yankee fan.

I'll send you guys the medical report from me getting my ass whooped.

Jib, we signed him during our recent Mariners series. He actuallt started at 3rd Base for us, when A-Rod had that slight groin pull.

I think it's a great signing for a few reasons.

  1. He's played in big games, and has come up clutch at times. (Not should but will get better at hitting with Mattingly coaching him who was a God at hitting and is a fantastic hitting coach.)
  2. Very good utility guy who can play all positions on the field and does a
great job (This will help us if Cano starts fucking up.)
  3. Lat but not least I would love to see him sock it to the Sox.

and oh yeah..He's won a World Championship...Nuff Said.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

Best of luck w/ Bellhorn - it looks like he's already getting his game standard walk and 2 K's (one of them looking w/ men in scoring position) - and damn does he look strange with the short hair and shaved face.

I think we've all come to realize that these are two totally different teams when they play each other - throw out the fact that the Yanks just lost another series to the Tampa Bay Double A's or that the Sox had a killer home stand, they'll be playing like it's game 7 all over again.

The piching matchups look very interesting - forget about Wells V Small or Schilling tomorrow, I think Sunday's game with Wakefield going against Johnson will be the best of the weekend. I just hope to GOD that Tito doesn't pinch hit Roberto Petagini with bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth ever again.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

tampa bay double A's, nigga made me laugh.

GO SOX!!!!, SUCKERS

#471556Post 13 of 53

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

You can have Belhorn and his league leading strikeouts along with his inconsistency.Yanks are fudged with that ever ageing rotation and high salary not to mention their depleted farm team.Good luck trying to get anything for any of those guys.I think its gonna take a couple years for the Yanks to get back.they may have to eat a few contracts in order to do that.Lets see what happens in the next couple years.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

Great series. All 3 games well played. We'll see what happens come the end of the season when it finishes up back in Boston.Until then good luck.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

All I ave to say is I love my team. I def. don't hate the Sox. So my conclusion we our the exact same team b/c of the pitching situation for both teams. This will be a great month of baseball b/c no one is dominating at all.

#472174Post 18 of 53

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

wait til that last series in Boston, that is going to be a battle especially if the yanks and sox are within 3 games of each other!!!!

#472216Post 19 of 53

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

I'll tell you this as a hard cord yankees fan. I much love being the hunter not the hunted. especially last year when we had a 10 game lead in our division and almost lost it in the last 3 weeks.

#472366Post 20 of 53

who won? is it over yet? sorry, i forgot to pay attention to the two most annoying teams in the mlb.
who won? is it over yet? sorry, i forgot to pay attention to the two most annoying teams in the mlb.
Hmmm let me see, should I watch to of the best Teams in baseball battle it out or watch Clemens pitc a gemo f a game and lose 1-0??? Hmmm that's really tough.

#472424Post 22 of 53

^ be nice!

i'll admit, clemens doesn't have quite the bat power he had behind him last year. but it sure makes for a great wild card series.

yup.yup.yup.

they are also missing thier second best player(rolen). big hole there. monster offense and defense missing.

#472724Post 34 of 53

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

I look at the Cards now as the best of the worst. There isn't one team in the NL that puts even a slight scare in me. I mean look at the NL West, what a fucking joke that division is.

I do have to give the utmost repsect to the Braves though. They have all those young guys and to do what they've done is just awesome.

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

Peter Gammons predictions last night on baseball Tonight.Sox over The Angels White Sox over Yankees then Sox over White Sox . Sox to world Series.Could care less about the NL teams.but he basically said that itll be a repeat of last season this time with the Cards winning only beacause they will have Chris Carpenter and the Sox wont have a healthy Keith Foulke.

#472880Post 37 of 53

Re: Sox Vs Yanks

Peter Gammons picking the Sox to go to the WS. WOW, big fucking surprise there!

  1. i agree with you, fuck gammons. the guy sucks the sox knob 24/7.

  2. the yanks really don't deserve any props this year tho tbh. all that talent, might not even make the playoffs.
