I think Rooneys injury caused England to loose....Portugal played well on the pitch and won.Too bad Becham lost a penalty again.......He sucked the whole game.

Greece - France tonite can't loose this match.....hoping for a miracle, France is gonna win ofcourse
]
Can Portugal win the whole thing?!
No. Czech will. Or France...

-Psynce-
I'd like to see France winning the tournament, but I'm afraid. They were extremely lucky against England in the first round. I think we'll have to watch out for Sweden or Czech.

#209519Post 203 of 387

supposedly england have made a complaint about the penalty spot, as the ball kept on moving of it

#209523Post 204 of 387

Ok, last night I came here hot-headed and still managed to be a good sport about it, but now I just can?t believe the ammount of people who keep bangin? on about how they were robbed and all that crap.

JOHN TERRY?S ARM WAS ACROSS OUR GOALIE?S SHOULDER! INSIDE THE BOX! That?s a foul anywhere in the world.

And anyway, the result was fair, we deserved it more that you, only someone very blind would feel justice would have been made if that goal had stood. Shame it had to be decided by the penalty "lottery", no ammount of crying can take that away.

English fans here in Portugal joined us on the celebrations! Why can?t people over there do the same?

#209526Post 205 of 387
supposedly england have made a complaint about the penalty spot, as the ball kept on moving of it
And what will that help? Will they be allowed to have them all over again? Or can the match be replayed? I doubt it. England from the time Rooney went off began defending, Portugal had all the ball and played the more exciting game and eventhough I wanted England to win Portugal deserved it more.

As I said in another thread;

The Czech's or the Greek's are gonna take it

And PsynceFiction, where the hell you been bro?
supposedly england have made a complaint about the penalty spot, as the ball kept on moving of it
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

That?s pathetic!

I have a lot of respect for English football, and the English people. Don?t make me lose it. Did the penalty spot bother only your players?

As the Portuguese saying goes : "A bad dancer who doesn?t admit it always blames the dancefloor".

#209540Post 208 of 387

na, it only bothered becks who didn't realise, everyone else was extra careful when they saw him, he lost his standing foot as he kicked it

#209547Post 209 of 387
And PsynceFiction, where the hell you been bro?
I'm a family man now. Don't have internet connection at my new place anymore. Been way too busy aswell. Have 2 jobs you know...

Thanks for asking.

the most prestigous world football leagues has been out - just think of UK, Spain, defensive Italy, tactic Germany :Gay: seems to that global foreplayers have been gradually losing its ground and fresh blood is taking the lead. the chechs are the best example. things are getting pretty unexpected but in a decade time hardly anyone will wonder at CEE oraz Far East countries winning another games

But the fact is, it was still a good goal and England won the game fair and square... thats the really gutting thing. But in the grand scheme of things you did deserve it and i hope you or Holland go on to win it.

I think that picture says it all.

Anyway, don?t get me wrong. We partied with all English fans last night around here. Real fairplay and sportsmanship. :Bingo:

And, in International competitions, England are always my 2nd favourites (after Portugal, of course). Like I said, this game should have been the Final.

I now hope to find the French on the Final...we have some old scores to settle...

It's amazing how if there is one fight, it's front page news, but if we lose and 40000 people despite being gutted can join in the party, there is no mention of it in the press anywhere. It's a sad world. Damn media.

Anyway all the best, i'm sure Lisbon is a much happier place than the UK is right now

Terry wasn't impeding the goal keeper imo, if you watch the replay you will see he was contending for the ball, fairly I might add(he went for the ball and the goal keeper went into him), which he missed and campbell got his head on it and scored.

And i''m not English so don't take this as me being a bad sport, just a sport lover :LoveYou:

Certainly wasn't a foul. Gutting. The best team won tho, just the winning team lost.

Greece dethroned France just now 1-0.

#209896Post 218 of 387

Bye Bye France!

Good for Greece. They showed that their opening day win against the host Protugal was no fluke.

#209899Post 219 of 387

nice championship :)
Go Greece

#209900Post 220 of 387

seriously. i'm not watching. Wow if that's true it is the end of the world. Portugal beats england, greece beats france. Well it's been fun but i think the world is about to stop spinning :Cheerz:

#209903Post 221 of 387

AHAHAHAHAHAH! HELL YEAH!!!

France are out!

Deservedly, I might add. The Euopean and World Champions had the obligation of showing a lot more than they did in the tournament.

An incredibly lucky win against England, a very lucky draw with Croatia, I thought luck would take them all the way, but justice was made.

Shame we won?t meet them in the Final, though, but this is almost as good. It happened in my club?s stadium too (Sporting Lisbon)

AU REVOIR LES FROGS

I think it's time to realised that there's no more easy games or weak rivals!!! Teams such as Greece, Portugal or Czech are doing the best effort to get things they have never had and so it's glad to know that actually there are more teams that the same song always told us....

#209909Post 223 of 387

Nice effort from the greeks! Its not about style ... its all about will and determination! Nice Championship... Many Surprisez.

#209910Post 224 of 387

So true. this turned out to be an excellent tournament with every game being of high quality and I'm not a huge fan of football, but this has me captivated.

I whole heartedly 100% agree. Thats poetic justice for the overrated French to go out. I'm so sick of hearing how wonderful Viera is.He is the biggest whingin' big girls blouse in football. Well, maybe not biggest, but he called England "dirty" after they won the match and if you watch him, you'd think he plays for Italy as easy as he goes down. Any way, not a Greece fan, but nice one anyway. But if they beat Portugal, thenI'll eb a bit pissed off again.

greece are really hardworking team and they deserve it even if they play boring matches. btw, today is the game

#210123Post 233 of 387

Well, this championship is definitely full of surprises. Greece in the 1/2 finals and a bunch of favourites are out.

But on the other hand, what can you expect from the best 16 European teams. It seems that the differences between them are indeed not that great...

#210138Post 234 of 387

That's a great result :D

Altho being English the only annoying thing is this championship really was there for taking

Van den Sar rulez!!!!

So, where are you now Swedetech? :Gay: :TNF:

J/K Swedes are a great, but still, the dutch goalkeeper threw himself in the right direction almost every penalty kick, so he deserved to save that shot... :D

But, as I said before the Dutch are my favourites, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for them...
