France against Switzerland only 1:1 so far...o la la :Naughty:

#206489Post 122 of 387

oh what a treat it would be to have England go thru as group winners and France go home.. AGAIN. The only down side would be us not having the opportunity to beat the French in the final.

Well, much congartulations to England! I really enjoyed the game and the 3 Lions? victory.

Shame that we have to play each other now, but it was expected to be like this. Rooney is really a surprise to me, top quality striker anywhere in the world. I?m glad we have the best central defender in Europe (Ricardo Carvalho) to dry him up next Thursday. The English midfield is a tough nut to crack, but you?re defence doesn?t hold up well under pressure I think. Good thing Nuno Gomes will be on the starting lineup, as Pauleta is off through bookings.

As I said before, I?d like to take on France to wipe their smug smiles off their faces, but we might have a better chance against England. Remember the Euro 2000 game? We also played friendly not long ago and drew 1-1, at a time where we were really playing like shit.

Both teams are getting better with each game, so I know we?ll see a great match.

Here in Portugal, we use the portuguese word "bifes", which means "Steaks" to refer to English tourists . So I?m looking forward to having some tender and juicy steak next Thursday!

#206615Post 130 of 387

where's that TOSSER with all the England jokes now? lol seriously though, those were a laugh, and any country can be plugged in to those mindless jabs.

Never seen anything like Rooney. Un-fucking-believable!

And now I get to see Germany-Czech Republic, Portugal-England & France-Greece in 3 days in Lisbon this week. Sweet! :D :D

Well, the English desrved to win. They were no match for the Croats, although they weren't that easy to beat. They were a lot faster, had better ball control and were simply better regarding their overall performance. the Croats on the other hand had a lead, kept up with the English the entire 1st half, but they just couldn't hold on for the rest of the game. It will be definitely fun to watch the 1/4 finals!

Me too. And I'm really happy that Italy is out... I don't know if Latvija can be a match for the Dutch, though. They surprised me with their game against the Germans, but I still think they will be no match for the pissed off Dutch. :?:

#208101Post 148 of 387

I think Sweden and Denmark agreed

#208122Post 149 of 387
I think Sweden and Denmark agreed
that`s lame, both of the teams played well, it was tuff game for both, and did u see the goals? ??? ??? :)

#208321Post 150 of 387

So , I read that in Italy they are only showing the goals and the last minute of the game when nobodu obvoiusly don't wanna attack, so people over there think we were cheating! This is so lame, earlier today Italian thugs attacked the Danish Consulate in Milano throwing eggs and cutting the tires to the employees cars... I fucking hate Italians!!! bunch of fucking monkeys...

#208326Post 151 of 387

Relax everyone, the Italians are just bitter and looking for an excuse to take away the attention from the fact that they just were not good enough.

They have some excellent players but everyone knows that football is a team game. The italian Media has also played a part in the downfall of the morale in the camp

the acusations of a fix are outragous! both teams wanted to beat there neighbours

just think would scotland or wales agree to draw with England, would they F**K,

would germany and Holland make an agreement, bollox would they

obviously it was a convenient result, but the accusation are an insult to the game the fans and to the supporters

do you think that 22 men would agree and no-one else would hear anything off it... no way

both teams played admirably and competitivly

#208329Post 152 of 387

any predictions on tonight then?

who is going out, the dutch or the germans?

i heard the czechs were going to rest a load of players for the next round. got to be bad news for the dutch.

I agree, if you saw that match, there is no way you can script anything like that. Italy should have sorted themselves out before needing a result in the final match and help from the other match. If anyone is to blame, it is Totti for spitting on the danish player and getting himself banned from the rest of the competition. There is no reason for teams such as Italy, and Spain for that matter, to be out in the 1st round with the quality of players they have. But it happens repeatedly. Some teams just want it more, and some teams think just because of who they are, they are through before the competition starts, when in all actuality with that mentality, they are THROUGH, as in finished.

I think even if they do rest a bunch of players, they CAN still beat Ze Germans. But I wouldnt be surprised if Latvia pulls a stunner and beats Holland. So my guess is the Dutch are out.

#208367Post 155 of 387

As much as I love the Dutch people I'd rather see the Germans through this time, which for an Englishman may seem an unual comment, but I want to play Germany in a later round.

I have a feeling Holland will beat Latvia, but if those forwards do the shit again tonight for latvia there could be an upset on the cards. I wouldn't put it past the Germans to put together a win tonight against the Czechs either

#208369Post 156 of 387

Driving to a mate now to watch the Czech play against the German team. I hope we will win and as the Czech are already qualified they won't give 100%.
