guys i'm not saying that rolen isn't a good player. IMO i think he will shit the bed in the second half of the season. :Honest: Ya he had a great first half. It's a long season. I say he ends the year with 32 hr, 130RBI and .292 AVG. Which are good numbers. But he won't do that against the pitching in the playoffs. :Bingo:

The Best Team in Baseball...
my .02
I'm not a baseball fan by any means, the season is too long, and the local team here, the D Rays, is shite. BUT, who would have thought the day would come that the D Rays would have a better record than the Braves.

that's pretty much across the board for any player, not just rolen.
offensive numbers go down in the playoffs...common knowledge.
where he will help in the playoffs is, he's clutch. when you need a hit, a glove save, a home run, etc....Rolen, Pujols, Edmonds = schwing.
Hey guys, ask Alfonso Soriano how the pitching is in the playoffs. Pure fastball hitters are shit in the playoffs  :Bingo:
btw, getting me to admit anything negative about my Cardinals is like trying to get Chemicalbeavis to say Sasha sucks.
It just isn't going to happen.
Just once in every baseball fan's life i wish everyone could see a game at Bush, and a game at Wrigley. The atmosphere is electric.
I was at a playoff game at Yankee stadium against the Mariners when griffey still played in seattle...rowdy crowd. It was cool seeing the house that Ruth build, but i'll take a sunday cards game anyday over that. Same goes for Wrigley. Stl is a baseball town, if you don't support the cards here, you're pretty much a shitheel.
Prior > Puljos, edmonds,rolen
I am not a cubs fan so don't think i am saying prior to jab. Any great pitcher will sit everyone of those guys down 0-4 maybe 1-4 :Bingo:

Prior sure had a tough time with them the last time he pitched. lol. rubber necking all day from watching balls fly out of the park.
Saying those three are pure fastball hitters is a joke. Edmonds maybe. Rolen and Pujols can hit anything that comes across the plate.
We all know it's a pitchers game, you 're making blanket statements and not backing any of it up.
I don't know if Prior will be the same again, he doesn't seem as dominant as he was before his injury...at least, not against the Cards.
Yeah yeah, wait wait wait. and i shall...in the meantime tho, SCOREBOARD!

You`ve got roots my man, footy rules (not soccer but English football) and you know it. Baseball = rounders for girls :?
Flame away.........
Cubs vs. Sox today, Prior starting, should be an interesting game.
Hey the Cards are a good team :Bingo: I agree :Bingo:
But simply they aren't the best team. In the playoffs u need a pitcher or two who can come in and simply win a game. The cards don't have that. Period. But i wish them the best. I like edmonds. Great outfielder. My statement is that they won't win because of pitching. And maybe coaching! :Bingo:

Don't hate man, just cause you limey bastards across the pond can't play baseball even if you tried doesn't mean you have to be sour.
Im far from being sour young sir, i just like to wind you yanks up now and again. The only time us English play a game like that is at school... and its only for girls. (rounders) Just pointing out a UK fact.
P.s at no time did i ever say i hated it.
I know man hehe I just felt like doing the same, winding you up. I'm a big fan of footie just don't get a chance to follow it much here.
hey get your own thread with your fucking football!!!!!

Morris doesn't have the velocity he once had, he's not a thrower anymore, and his placement isn't good enough to 'pitch' wiht the best of them.
as of now, Carpenter is kicking some ass, but i don't know if he and Woody Williams will be good enough in the playoffs as you say. Our lineup and defense is up there with the best in the league, the bullpen, for once, is solid with King, Kline, and Isringhausen.
We'll see...as per the coach. Believe me, Tony catches a lot of shit in STL, only because everyone compares every coach here to Whitey Ball, and that's a tough comparison.

You`re gonna have to work a little harder than that to wind me up young man. :P
Just to prove my point

Limey bastards? thats a bit much innit? No one said hate but you. I dont care to watch it, I dont like talking shite about it, because I dont appreciate people that know nothing about football putting it down. All I do know is, 162 games of anything is a bit extreme, especially a slow moving game such a rounders, err, baseball.
btw, getting me to admit anything negative about my Cardinals is like trying to get Chemicalbeavis to say Sasha sucks.

i guess its hopeless then

oh yeah - and Barry Bonds head has grown - your head doesn't grow unless you're on some sorta steroids
the Angels will win it all this year

He is fucking amazing. He has always been underated IMO. 'cause he was in montreal. :Bingo:
a few weeks ago he had 10 RBI's in one game.
Rolen is still beating him in RBIs tho. :EatMe:
but that is what seperates them right there. Vlad had a 10RBI game. That is stupid. He has the ability to do something others can't. Rolen doesn't. :Die:
Go Twins!
i don't see others doing what Rolen is doing.
even those BaseballTonight number runners on ESPN think Rolen is the best third baseman in baseball right now.
that goes for RedSox loving Peter Gammons too.
a million and one can't be wrong.
Devil Rays baby!!
ESPN also picked the Red Wings to win the cup. They also think the best baseball players are from Cuba. No credibility there!

Cuba does have some outstanding talent, just take a look around the MLB at all the freaking cubans and dominicans killing it right now.
as per the RedWings....fuck hockey. a sport that lets nearly every team into the playoffs, then drags it out another two months, ugh, i can't get into it unless the Blues are in it, and they're notorious for choking.
I just realized you're from Canada...lol, you just lost all baseball credibility.
Rolen is still beating him in RBIs tho. :EatMe:
rub it in a little........ ;)
Ya ya pull out a canada joke. It's funny because the american government will take a cuban over an american or canadian only to spit in Castro's face. It is a political thing believe me. Every time we played down in the States we would mercy your teams. Canada always gets the shit end of the stick when it comes to baseball.
yeah eh, it's what it's aboot eh.
