pretty much 1 way traffic thus far according to the online report that i have to read until im done at work. should be a good 2nd half

Re: champions league quarter finals

just hope they can stop Juve from getting that away goal

#396174Post 7 of 89

Re: champions league quarter finals

2nd half now, certainly seems to be the key to not let juve score (as always) but wouldnt mind seeing liverpool knock a couple more in.

lyon also are 1 up against PSV

Re: champions league quarter finals

well, one thing Liverpool have going for them is Dudek is on the bench. I think they should just push for more, trying to hold a two goal lead against an obviously pissed off Juve is going to be very difficult and very dangerous. They sure as hell don't want to go to Italy NEEDING to score.

Re: champions league quarter finals

OOpps, there `s the away goal. Carson should have saved it though.

#396188Post 10 of 89

Re: champions league quarter finals

:x

cant back down against a team like juve

Re: champions league quarter finals

Pretty tame header at his near post, he got his hands to it but parried it into his own net. Liverpool are not dominating like they were in the first half, i wonder if they can hold on.

#396225Post 12 of 89

Re: champions league quarter finals

Great result to be honest, would have taken any kind of win at kick off. Carson should have saved the goal, but he made a stupendous save in the first half and was generally very solid - his mistake was nowhere near as bad as Dudek's many this season, so for a 19 year old he did ok. And the goals - awesome.

Considering all the players we've got out I'm well happy tonight!

#396255Post 13 of 89

Re: champions league quarter finals

both liverpool goals were superb, and juve's was soft, but as said above, the keeper had a solid game minus that.. should be a great second leg

Can you confirm that ? :)

Liverpool needs to keep thier sheet clean in away match right now....because Its gonna be very very very extremely difficult to score at Tardini, we all know what italian teams are famous for.

Personally I am disappointed with Lyon, they had draw at home having all those situations, Wiltord shame on you :). They play fast forward soccer I like it, hope they get the chance to play againts chelsea, thats gonna be fun!.

We will se today how far did Murinho get in coaching chelsea, watching your team playing 1/4 at home in tv has to be an experiment for him for sure.

Inter - Milan is the game of the quarter finals for me. They tried it hard not to let having another italian final in CHampions League.

Well, if UEFA doesn?t let him get anywhere near the players during the whole game, including half-time, why the fuck should he be there? This way, he watches stuff on TV and calls his assistant on the mobile to give him instructions. That?s his way to protest against his punishment...

Oh, and the assistant manager knows a thing or two too. Porto never had problems with not having Mourinho on the bench when he was punished.

Also, he?s supposedly said he?ll leave Chelski at the end of the season, he won?t want to lose the oppurtunity of winning bigtime while he?s there...

Re: champions league quarter finals

Mighty Lampard  Chelsea stills on the road, lets wait for the 2nd hand and see what Mourinho can do. PSV is playing good football imo, great team they've.

Shame indeed, after seeing them at the San Siro in Milan last month i`ve now got a soft spot of Internazionale.

Second leg to come and they are at home. :I surren:

nope, but young replacement goalie has mad a terrible mistake and juve has an away goal which in football language( in italian team playing case) means liverpool said good bye to the title :).

Milan didnt deserve to win, Dida won the game for them. hope Adriano will be back for the next leg cuz although Martins is hell fasst Stam is throwing him like a rag all over the place.

Fuckin? shame about that made-up penalty in the last minute though. That 2nd goal might decide the whole quarter final. But Mourinho will play it cool as he does in these situations and they?ll go through for sure.

And this was game was proof that most of the hard work is done during the week in training.

Re: champions league quarter finals

Bayern munchen should be kicked out of any tournament imo for destroying european football. They ve been boring as hell for the last 30 years for christs sake. Chelsea will win the away match as well but will have a hard time beating ac milan in the final. PSV have a good team but lyon is capable of beating them in holland. I think their defensive midfielder essien will be on the top of the shopping list for real madrid and man united(he is exactly what both of them need).

Forza milan!

P.S. Dear krolikk juventus's home ground is the stadio dele alpi. The ennio tardini is ac parma's.

#396898Post 38 of 89

Re: champions league quarter finals

^^ Indeed.

Most boring Team ever, and most arrogant pricks in European football too.

#396930Post 39 of 89

Re: champions league quarter finals

so now, because Ballack is a cheater, the scorline for Chelsea is an underserved 4-2? Not that I think Munchen can turn that around in Germany, but that was a terrible terrible call.
