i don't see the point in running a forum if the people who are members of that forum cant talk openly about their thoughts or feelings about a given subject, sure there will always be a difference in opinion with some but in all honesty that's what happens in debates..its just part of the process... sorry guys i dont mean to disrespect kamal,tom or adams feeling but this place is starting to become censorship city...sucks

I closed Politics down because it was a breeding ground for personal attacks toward other members. Page after page would go by with member after member disrespecting one another, and it eventually started to overflow into GYY, P&R, and the other forums. The overall level of attacking each other is causing members to leave. I don't care whether politics exists or not--I just want to make sure that the harassment stops.

What do I do? Do we let the personal attacks continue? Is that what people want? If not, what can I do to prevent them or react to them?

well personally i didnt know anything about the politic things and u are well within ur rights to protect members from attacks of others and again personally i never used to go into politics myself, i,m actually a bit pissed @ the fact that the osama's threads were closed and some of my posts were deleted in them, not once did i make a personal attack on anyone in my posts but rather i tried to show some of the people who were throwing conspiracy theories about in it some objective explanations about those theories being present.. it was only a debate type thing and without pissing u off m8 i feel like i have been told off without actually being told off about some of my feelings on the subject... i honestly feel right now like the rights of ms members having a good debate has been taken away, i feel like a part of the forum has died

sorry m8, no offence but this is just my 2 cents

NONE of you is innocent so why can't you all just chill out and calm down for a while without over analysing everything. Meet online on MSN, Skype or use whatever chat options and sort your problems out "face to face" in conversations and not on a forum where you never know the mood somebody is in when making the posting, how it was actually really meant and other things that can lead to frustration and misunderstandings. I really miss the live and let live attitude and I am confident, those who argue most with each other wouldn't anymore if they'd only met once to have a beer together. Don't concentrate on the differences but rather concentrate on what you have in common. [ms] has a problem neither Mods nor Admins can sort out. You guys have to sort this out on your own.
