Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

on a serious note though i cant believe they are even considering this, the consequences for relations with the muslim world will take a hell of a battering if they do

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

I thought that many from the Muslim world have vocally expressed their dislike of Osama (the negative associations he brings) in recent years, with the few remaining who support him being in the minority?

oh i agree caley, i,ve just answered this question on another forum so i,ll quote myself
no u have got me completely wrong... infact 90% of the muslim population do not regard him as a true muslim but he's still a muslim and i,m sure that if these pictures are actually released a lot of muslims will take an offence to the fact that the western world seem to be celebrating the death of a muslim in such a kinda gross way

i dont think this is a great move on behalf of the cia but this is just my 2 cents
Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

I don't care if they release it or not. I still won't believe it. But I will believe this guy. This guy is from the CFR.

Dr. Steve Pieczenik is no joke. This guy is the most credible guy AJ has ever had on. This interview was so detailed that Alex during the interview wanted to make sure he wasn't suicidal so a DC Madam thing doesn't happen again. I will post his bio below.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Pieczenik

http://www.stevepieczenik.com/bio.htm

Dr. Steve Pieczenik is a critically acclaimed author of psycho-political thrillers and the co-creator of the New York Times best-selling "Tom Clancy's Op-Center" and "Tom Clancy's Net Force" book series. He is also one of the world's most experienced international crisis managers and hostage negotiators. His novels are based on his twenty years experience in resolving international crises for four U.S. administrations.

Dr. Pieczenik trained in Psychiatry at Harvard and has both an M.D. from Cornell University Medical College and a Ph.D. in International Relations from M.I.T. He was the first psychiatrist ever to receive a PhD. focusing on international relations. He served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and/or Senior Policy Planner under Secretaries Henry Kissinger, Cyrus Vance, George Schultz and James Baker.

During his career as a senior State Department official, Dr. Pieczenik utilized his unique abilities and expertise to develop strategies and tactics that were instrumental in resolving major conflicts in Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe and the United States.

Dr. Pieczenik was the principal International Crisis Manager and Hostage Negotiator under Secretaries Kissinger and Vance. During this time he developed conflict resolution techniques that were instrumental in saving over five hundred hostages in different terrorist episodes, including the Hanafi Moslem Seizure in Washington, DC, the TWA Croatian Hijacking, the Aldo Moro Kidnapping, the JRA Hijacking, the PLO Hijacking, and many other incidents involving terrorists such as Idi Amin, Muammar Quaddafi, Carlos, FARC, Abu Nidal and Saddam Hussein.

Dr. Pieczenik helped develop negotiation strategies for major U.S.- Soviet arms control summits under the Reagan administration. He was also involved in advising senior officials on important psycho-political dynamics and conflict mediation strategies for President Carter's successful Camp David Peace Conference. In 1991, Dr. Pieczenik was a chief architect of the Cambodian Peace Conference in Paris. He is currently an advisor to the Department of Defense.

Interesting. You'd think then of the 90% who do not like him, and in this particular situation, they logically would take religion and offense out of the equation for a hot second and consider the reasons why the CIA would release it. It's unfortunate that they even have to consider releasing the photograph as proof, but hey that's just my opinion.

for me this is all about numbers caley... terrorist groups in that area already have a huge number of members in the organisation but i think personally that if some people take offence to it then they may be swayed towards hate, then they will just use the pics to groom new people into radicalism, u know i might be completely wrong in my thoughts but this is just my 2 cents

The whole idea of releasing the photos in the first place wouldn't serve much purpose (other than give a short catharsis to the general public) which wouldn't be served anyways in time. The people who don't believe that his death occurred would scream Photoshop in the first place (much like they did when Obama released his long form birth certificate) or make up some other bullshit that would serve their theory. And the fact that it could be used as a means of enticing the more radical terrorist groups for recruitment material and portrayed as a war trophy would be counterproductive to eliminating or at least diminishing the threat of terrorism.

It's a good choice in the longer run - people that claim that he's still alive are going to wait a long time before they hear from bin Laden again, so bring a chair. And it shows some respect to the Muslim religion.

I loved reading the fucktards on the net that are bitching about his being shot and unarmed. He didn't fucking surrender and he's responsible for thousands of deaths. It's not like he gets multiple chances to give himself up.

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

This story is changing all the time.. First Osama was involved in an intense fire fight and used his wife as a human shield and she died. Then Osama didn't have a weapon and didn't use his wife as a human shield.. And it turns out she didn't die and was only shot in the leg??

Anyone else smell that?

Reso the CFR is more powerful than the President sorry..

lol u need to get ur head out of the conspiracy gutter m8

of course the story is changing all the time because after all this was a highly secret mission... its not as if they are going to relay every correct detail as it happens, most of what u read in the papers and see on the news is filled with reporters speculation about what happened to fill a story

holi balls....a rational observation on this for once. but you can't hinge on a conspiracy if you think like this though, which could be an issue.
holi balls....a rational observation on this for once. but you can't hinge on a conspiracy if you think like this though, which could be an issue.
well its simple m8 if u look it rationally, news is funnelling through in bits from different sources ( obviously government officials ) but even the military dont fully trust government officials to a certain extent so really the only people who will know the complete full story will be high end officials, trying to get info from these guys is like trying to get blood from a stone, this is why they are up there in government

you have to consider that this was also done in a foreign country without the countries knowledge or permission so to a certain extent there will be a black screen of credible info funnelling out thus to confuse not only other officials in other countries but the general public... if u think they don't do that deliberately then think again

#1495610Post 31 of 485

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

I could care or less if they release a picture of Bin Laden dead. I'll believe he was either killed or captured til I see a video of him talking with a current newspaper in his hands. Til I see that kind of proof that he is still alive I will assume he was either killed at that compound and we took his body or he is captured and being waterboarded 600 times daily at some remote location, and I'm ok with either of those. If either of those two outcomes occurred I can rest assured that Bin Laden is no longer in any position to make decisions that could harm myself or any other innocent person again and the world is a better place.

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

common sense or looking at things rationally has nothing to do with anything. If you are being lied to your common sense is mis guided.

I know this girl who thinks her boyfriend is madly in love with her and that they are gonna get married.. But me being his friend I know that he is a whore of a man and cheats on her all the time.. And I mean all the time at least twice a month.. Her common sense tells her "he would never do that, he loves me" Reality says she should get checked for STD's..

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

^i'd believe your skepticism if you did it every once in a while, but since it is for every single thing...its more of a want-to-be-outsider kind of thing i think.

anyways, its not really like killing one guy is going to all of a sudden make the world peachy. crazy religious zealots are going to hate the west still from here on out. and so it goes....

I don't listen to Alex.. I listen to some of his guests.. I would listen to Rush Limbaugh if he had interesting guests.

You guys have to admit that with the story changing it makes it look less credible.

Osama wife human shield - lie Osama was in the fire fight - lie Osama's wife died - lie she was shot in the leg

They are gonna release the picture - lie They are gonna release the sea burial - lie so far - and who cares about showing a coffin going in the water

oh i,m sorry but common sense has EVERYTHING to do with it... this is why you are lied to

take the info about the guy u know, if this info was to spread about him fucking around then it would probably not only ruin his relationship with that girl but also ruin his chances of meeting other girls in the process...now u are lying to that girl b y not telling her what he's like...why do u do that ?

think carefully before you answer this
