Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

I'm very glad they are not releasing the photos, I was actually pretty shocked that people even wanted them. It would prove nothing, the conspiracy theorists will still be out in force.

I'm also not happy he was assassinated. A couple of reasons, one, he gets to be a martyr , two, I think that anytime we act like that we are diminished as human beings. The argument that he killed thousands sort of pales into insignificance next to the hundreds of thousands of that have died in the war on terror , including many thousands of American soldiers. Every death in any war has meaning. I don't call any death a victory.

I've also been waiting patiently for information on the owners of those toys in the videos.

oh i,m sorry but common sense has EVERYTHING to do with it... this is why you are lied to

take the info about the guy u know, if this info was to spread about him fucking around then it would probably not only ruin his relationship with that girl but also ruin his chances of meeting other girls in the process...now u are lying to that girl b y not telling her what he's like...why do u do that ?

think carefully before you answer this
How can you have a common sense if you are being lied too?:lol::lol: Well it will be commonly wrong sense wouldn't it:lol::lol:

I see you didn't want to talk about the lies that have been told already

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.
lol u need to get ur head out of the conspiracy gutter m8

of course the story is changing all the time because after all this was a highly secret mission... its not as if they are going to relay every correct detail as it happens, most of what u read in the papers and see on the news is filled with reporters speculation about what happened to fill a story
There's also the matter of debriefing the SEALs that were involved in the mission, corroborating the events of each one, and being able to sort out the common facts on the mission itself, as well as interrogating the detainees, which could take a while. I haven't seen a mention of how many people in total were in the compound, how many were captured or an exact number of SEALs that were deployed on the mission either, nor what the support/backup consisted of if the mission had gone south. I read some speculation that an AC 130 could have been deployed as back up on the mission - but that's just it - speculation..

And the fact that there are naturally going to be some things on the mission that are going to be redacted or kept under wraps for a number of reasons (protecting the anonymity of the SEAL team involved, sensitive information that could compromise intelligence if released to the public). Most of the stuff that's been released is speculation - fuck, even Leon Panetta, the CIA head himself was speculating that the pictures were going to be released, which probably means he's not 100% in the loop, and probably doesn't have access to all the mission information. We probably won't see the entire story for a long time, but the official story will probably take a few weeks to get released - interviewing however many people and checking the data against each other is going to take some time, as well as informing the participants of what can be talked about and what is classified.

If people want to believe that they're being lied to - let them believe what they want to believe - their own ignorance is their own bliss.

Side note - I wonder how the guy who shot bin Laden is feeling right now. Must be an incredible weight to carry around to be one of the biggest badasses and not be able to talk about it to anyone other than your squadmates.

No. YOU think it's a lie. That's your opinion. And if you choose that, fine. But it's your opinion and nothing else.

You are the one that wants others to believe your point of view, and will keep posting over and over anything that you find that you think proves your point and try to imply a separate narrative in order to earn the buy in from others or just simply for your own attention needs.

you are completely avoiding my question...you know something about this girls boyfriend and you are not telling her thus you are keeping a secret from her... why are you doing that ?

see you spout tons of shit about hearing "truth" but in fact you are just acting like a politician does ( with regards to telling this girl about her cheating boyfriend )... you obviously think that she doesn't have the right to know about it so you obviously don't think she can be trusted with that information... why are you doing this ?

you obviously don't want to cause trouble... need i say more?
I see you didn't want to talk about the lies that have been told already
what lies have you been told ? the lies you have been told are based on what you have been reading/hearing in the media and like i said earlier which u completely missed is that half of that shit is fabricated just to fill the story or based on miss information supposedly leaked from government officials which really probably don't have a fucking clue whats going on in the first place...believe me when i say this...the only people that will truly know the complete and full story are the generals that planned it, obama and a few other high ranking politicians and of course the guys that carried out the mission... don't blame them !!! blame the pricks that want to benefit from it buy selling newspapers, people who want high viewing rates on their tv shows and of course last but not least the conspiracy theorists who thrive on feeding the idiots that cant even see where they are putting thier next footstep never mind use a bit of COMMON FUCKING SENSE to look at a situation and break it down for what it really is

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

pics of the compound, post raid (allegedly) - no pics of bin Laden. Though with how many photoshoped/out of context photos that are floating around right now, hard to say if these are at all real. Canoe is a recognized news source here in Canada, but not exactly the greatest one (it's tied to a more tabloid-ish newspaper group called Sun Media, who are more known for having a great sports section than anything else they publish).

Be warned some of the pics are pretty graphic

m8 these guys are trained to the highest standards and are well taught and experienced in secrecy this is exactly why these people get this sort of mission... yea it must be a weight on his shoulders but in all honesty if it remains in a trusted loop of guys then he will be fine for the rest of his life, he can at least take some comfort in that... this is so highly secret and important that i,m guessing that the people who under took the mission will be monitored by the security services for quite sometime and they will know they are so the likely hood that one of these guys leaking information about this mission will be extremely minimal to say the least... i wouldn't be surprised that this will be treated in the same way as "black ops" are

It doesn't bother you guys that the story has been completely changed?

I haven't told the girl because he is my buddy. Why else? It has nothing to do with causing trouble. Just like Obama likes the guys that gave him money for his election more than the average American. He is more loyal to them as I am more loyal to my buddy. I don't see your point banned??

The story has completely changed. Go through my points where I say it is a lie and prove me wrong. And then I can post my links to support my claims and then we can just leave it at that. Last I checked claiming Common Sense isn't a defense in court.

No Name calling and let's tone the sarcasm and just duke it out with links? Game?

You're right. Considering that they're deployed into probably some of the craziest situations known to man, you're not exactly throwing your average G.I. Joe into those kind of situations. It's just when you see or hear about them, the focus is almost always on the grueling physical training with almost no mention of the mental training that goes along with it (I'm sure that classroom training doesn't really make for really sexy recruitment/image material). And of course, being a part of that team probably means a psychological evaluation to see if you can be trusted with the U.S.'s most delicate secrets and being a participant in those scenarios that they're deployed in. I'm guessing that taming one's ego would be part of the training or the requirement for such a position.

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

Highsteppa why don't you like to bring some links or evidence to back up your theories? Sarcasm and name calling never works.

Whether you agree with me or not is fine with me. But let's at least get this board back to an intellectual conversation. And by intellectual I mean a conversation where we don't just use sarcasm and name calling to put someone down and try to rally our friends to beat up the kid by the bike racks at recess. Let's DEBATE.. It is ok to disagree, I can;t stress this enough

#1495709Post 64 of 485

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

It really is impossible to debate. There aren't any links needed for this. News reports gathered within an hour of news breaking say one thing, then get clarified or updated as time goes on and the info gets cleared up. But standard :runningman: dictates this must indicate a coverup.

Thats about all there is to the debate for this one really.

Its worse than that...the blessed "independent" media has not managed to find a single shred of information that isn't "a reliable source from the government"....this is in my eyes means that we know nothing. We might know what DIDN'T happen...and thats about it. They haven't bothered interviewing the neighbours...or doing any investigation of their own whatsoever. Investigative journalism is dead when it comes to international relations.

**** Extremely Graphic **** - Pictures of the Osama compound -

http://www.reuters.com/subjects/bin-laden-compound
The photos, taken by a Pakistani security official who entered the compound after the early morning raid on Monday, show two men dressed in traditional Pakistani garb and one in a t-shirt, with blood streaming from their ears, noses and mouths.

The official, who wished to remain anonymous, sold the pictures to Reuters.

None of the men looked like bin Laden. U.S. President Barack Obama decided not to release photos of his body because it could have incited violence and used as an al Qaeda propaganda tool.

"I think that given the graphic nature of these photos, it would create some national security risk," Obama told the CBS programme "60 Minutes."

Based on the time-stamps on the pictures, the earliest one was dated May 2, 2:30 a.m., approximately an hour after the completion of the raid in which bin Laden was killed.

Other photos, taken hours later at between 5:21 a.m. and 6:43 a.m. show the outside of the trash-strewn compound and the wreckage of the helicopter the United States abandoned. The tail assembly is unusual, and could indicate some kind of previously unknown stealth capability.

Reuters is confident of the authenticity of the purchased images because details in the photos appear to show a wrecked helicopter from the assault, matching details from photos taken independently on Monday.

U.S. forces lost a helicopter in the raid due to a mechanical problem and later destroyed it.

The pictures are also taken in sequence and are all the same size in pixels, indicating they have not been tampered with. The time and date in the photos as recorded in the digital file's metadata match lighting conditions for the area as well as the time and date imprinted on the image itself.

The close-cropped pictures do not show any weapons on the dead men, but the photos are taken in medium close-up and often crop out the men's hands and arms.

One photo shows a computer cable and what looks like a child's plastic green and orange water pistol lying under the right shoulder of one of the dead men. A large pool of blood has formed under his head.

A second shows another man with a streak of blood running from his nose across his right cheek and a large band of blood across his chest.

A third man, in a T-shirt, is on his back in a large pool of blood which appears to be from a head wound.

U.S. acknowledgment on Tuesday that bin Laden was unarmed when shot dead had raised accusations Washington had violated international law. The exact circumstances of his death remained unclear and could yet fuel controversy, especially in the Muslim world.

Pakistan faced national embarrassment, a leading Islamabad newspaper said, in explaining how the world's most-wanted man was able to live for years in the military garrison town of Abbottabad, just north of the capital.

Pakistan blamed worldwide intelligence lapses for a failure to detect bin Laden, while Washington worked to establish whether its ally had sheltered the al Qaeda leader, which Islamabad vehemently denies.
You're talking about a guy who masterminded not only the planes flying into the WTC on 9/11, but also several other attacks, including the bombing of American embassies and the killing of U.S. soldiers on a naval ship and advocated fervently the killing of Westerners and any of it's allies, regardless of the status - civilian or military. He hid out for 10 years and submitted tapes of his doctrine throughout the time, repeating the same message. You really think he's just going to surrender, especially considering how the operation took about 40-45 minutes, along with the reports of a pretty extended battle using small arms?

As mentioned before, the official story on this is going to take time. There's still tons of data to go through and to verify and corroborate. Odds are we won't see something official for some time.

If I had family killed I think I would like to know everything...so such a thing never happens again...it makes NO sense absolutely NO sense killing the guy for reasons we are presented with. At the end of the day...they could have even sieged the building for days...and starved him out...OR a million other possibilities that do not require shooting an unarmed man. Quite honestly this is the kind of thing that people start hating the US for...going around braking laws and killing who ever they please....not much has changed with Obama in that sense either.

OH MY F'KN GOD

osama made video's claiming that he was responsible for the planning of 9/11 and in his OWN WORDS said that they had been planning it for quite sometime, even if he didnt plan it he was pretty fucking stupid to do this LOL.. these guys (al Qaeda ) aint ur average street thugs ( like mafia ) as they are not only very fucking clever but somewhat trained to a certain military spec, you dont wanna fuck around with these guys if ur just your average joe living in a town somewhere in the middle of america....trust me when i say this "FEAR THESE PEOPLE"...if i had family members who were killed in 9/11 i would see common sense and not ask for all the info because that would put me @ risk from these guys potentially kidnapping and torturing the fuck out of me to gain that info...personally i would leave that shit to the people who were able to deal with it, They couldn't siege the building for days because they obviously don't fully trust the pakistani government and had not one single bit of official permission to be in the country to execute the mission.... personally i would also like to find out how they knew that the pakistani armed forces had scrambled fighter jets ( kinda shows u the level of the mission ) as for shooting him well this kinda makes sense if u sit and think about it...time was not on their sides....45 minutes had past...they really didnt know if they had flown into an al Qaeda strong hold or how the pakistani forces would react so in fact trying to drag an unwilling man in to a helicopter in the middle of a gun fight aint really a wise thing to do plus the order was dead or alive
And you say this based on what evidence exactly?? Where is it that irrefutable piece that would push the jury beyond reasonable doubt???
this evidence would have been submitted to security services around the world a very long time ago, the chances of the press/public ever seeing this are minimal...that info is worth millions if not billions of $'s if it were to be sold to the wrong hands.
this is different from the ass backwards Americans who want to kill all Muslims...how?
this is not a war on the muslim world..
I am not entirely sure this illegal let alone that it warrants killing him.
ok i,m partially with you on this one after all they were operating in a foreign country without permission but this really wasn't a US thing as the whole world was looking for osama and i,m sure that when he was located the UN were highly suspicious to the fact that the pakistani's knew something, we'll never find that out!

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.

Everything you said I disagree with to the fullest extent... If the world functioned the way you seem to think it does ... half of the world with a PC would have navy seals dropping them in their sleep for the shit they have written or said at one point or another in their life. If I made a video claiming responsability for something...would that alone be enough for someone to come in and kill me???

I will not fear anyone...if its my time to go its my time to go...and we all go at one time or another.

As far as not trusting the Pakistani government...I suggest you read up on your history of relations between Pakistan and US to find out who has been fucking who for years.
although it was the US that planned it and executed it i,m almost certain that this was a UN op not just a US op

I've also been waiting patiently for information on the owners of those toys in the videos.
Up to 12 children lived in the compound from what i've read this morning. How many of them were murdered i don't know.

Re: Bin Laden's Pictures to be released.
Everything you said I disagree with to the fullest extent... If the world functioned the way you seem to think it does ... half of the world with a PC would have navy seals dropping them in their sleep for the shit they have written or said at one point or another in their life. If I made a video claiming responsability for something...would that alone be enough for someone to come in and kill me???
lulz. i agree that you are pissed off at the fucked up wars overseas (and rightly so), but joining the conspiracy/blind rage gang doesnt help. it doesn't mean that every single thing that the west does is automatically 100% wrong, just because you are pissed off.

also i can talk as much shit as i want about how fucked the us is, and im not worried about seals coming to my door. you know why? because the president of the united states didn't just get on tv call say he is going to find my ass no matter where, when, why or how. thats how i know. if i saw that happen to me, the last fucking thing id be doing would be putting out vids pissing off the people who said they were going to fuck me up

also there was a seal on bob and tom this morning. he said it is great that all of the armchair quarterbacks are jumping on the bandwagon second guessing how the mission went down. said they dont even have the first clue how anything works, and can continue to talk shit from afar on their comfortable couches while they do nothing.
