The buildings suffered very little damage, it was the tsunami that caused the devastation.

they reckon the death toll is at around 1000 or so.i just cant see how this is possible given the amount of people that died in the 2004/2005 tsunami.i think this will get a lot higher in the next day or so.the footage certainly looks a lot worse than previous ones.

the estimated figure now for missing & dead is at 1000 but its definitely more i reckon ...
i was watching the morning report on NHKWorld and they had a helicopter hovering over of one of the coastal towns that got hit and the area that's submerged in water look like it covered at least 20blocks x 10blocks and the expert that sitting in the studio with the presenter was saying that the area looks like it sank by 1m due to the quake as the water was still and doesn't seem to be residing from the tsunami ...
and the entire area only had 1 standing concrete building standing while there are wooden debris all over supposedly the debris were from the wooden houses that were destroyed and it was a residential area :(

this supermoon is a bitch. Apparently there was a supermoon and a solar flare that set shit off. More might come around the world because the supermoon is not until the 19th.

Scientist are saying that the supermoon didn't cause the earthquake. Not only is the actual supermoon on March 19th, but the day the earthquake happened, the moon actually has the least amount of gravitational pull on the earth at that point during its cycle. It is fairly coincidental though.
