Well it looks like oil is on a rocket ship going to the moon. I am pretty sure that it is going to go to between $150-200 by the end of 2011.

Expect $5-$6 per gallon in the US.

Re: Oil Going to $200

I don't think Libya has anything to do with the US stock market. That being said I think that the oil from the middle east will be cut off eventually if this keeps up. Then you will see it effect the stock markets.

I think the stock market is going down because jobs are actually being created. The stock market doesn't like this.

Re: Oil Going to $200

The stock market doesnt like turmoil in the middle east. Neither does the price of gas and oil.

Re: Oil Going to $200

oil speculators LOVE trouble in the middle east. Now they can raise prices to anything. There is no reason for oil to be this high. It should be at $30/barrel

Right. The oil market is driven by speculation. Middle east supply fears drive up the price.

Which makes the following statement wrong:
I don't think Libya has anything to do with the US stock market.
Re: Oil Going to $200

Libya is not exactly a huge player in the market. It doesn't directly affect the USA.

Everyone watch the stock market crash right before our very eyes. As oil goes up the economy will sink

Re: Oil Going to $200

^This is 100% true, but it isn't based at all on the percentage of oil a country exports to the US as a direct cause of oil to go up if that country is having problems. Note the last go round Israel had a while back and prices went up. It is exactly what Jenks said, unstable middle east = market speculators get worried = prices go up.

#1467924Post 11 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

Doesn't matter that we're not a direct importer of Lesbian oil. Fear/Instability + Oil = High Prices.

#1467944Post 12 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't' the large oil companies causing all this turmoil in the middle east to drive up the price of oil.

I think I should be the one asking YOU that question

Oil companies behind what is happening?

#1467976Post 16 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

God you are daft. If you follow the money you will usually be able to figure out what is going on. My father taught me that at a very young age. "Who benefits" If there is turmoil in the middle east and oil prices are on the rise then why is it so hard to believe that the oil companies might be in on it?

I mean the US has now killed over 1,000,000 iraqi's for oil. Why not juice up the price of oil and make more money?

You don't actually believe this is organic what is going on in the Middle East do you?

Re: Oil Going to $200

^

yup the CEO of Exxon pissed off a shit load of kids all over the middle east because he was worried last quarters record billions in profits we not profity enough. the young are biding their time to access their secret bank accounts filled by Exxon and BP after they are done with their showboating.

#1467990Post 18 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

It isn't kids that is just US propaganda. God you buy it EVERY time.

Who is gonna benefit Reso?

#1467991Post 19 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

oh...they bought off EVERYONE. they DO have alot of money to throw around. That makes more sense.

#1467997Post 20 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

what does buying off have to do with anything? Turmoil in the middle east is great for US corps. Think about it. Higher oil prices for Exxon, hell maybe we can get the Arabs and Jews to shoot at each other.. Can you say Arms sales?? This is what the US wants.

WAR! WAR! AND MORE WAR!

You see the US is a war state. War uses up oil in tanks and such. War kills undesirableness's (useless eaters). War makes money. But the US can't look like they are starting it. The US is always the victim have you noticed.

Pearl Harbor = WW2 9/11 = War on Terror (aka go kill some Arabs) ?? (Oil Crisis? Collapse of the dollar?) = WW3

Aww Poor little USA...

Re: Oil Going to $200

If you think big oil is behind all of this then the only thing left is to quote Kirk from Star Trek IV: Double dumbass on you.

#1467999Post 22 of 107

Re: Oil Going to $200

So you think this is organic? You still haven't answered.

I'm gonna assume you believe the MSM and that this is just young kids and students clawing and fighting for freedom from their oppressors? Right? am I close?

Well that sounds really romantic but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Re: Oil Going to $200

Yup. People are sick as shit of being broke and seeing their leaders steal billions of dollars while they make 5$ a day. But you think the opposite since you just want to fuel your idiotic pissed off at the USA agenda. Its fine though...keep at it. It makes for good threads.

All the more reason to further pursue safe domestic drilling but not when environmentalists rule the roost with a carbon-taxing usuper-in-chief at the reigns.

Or get a LEAF or VOLT (if you're in an apartment, you're SOL..like myself)....even so, carbon taxation schemes will get you there, too.

Toasty you haven't been in here since you put all your credibility on Obama. Since then you and Miro have been a no show. It really is too bad because you were fun to talk to.

When you build up the courage again. Come on in I would love to talk to ya!

Psss - For the record Politics are always the same things over and over again. It's called discussing the issues

Also Vinnie I like what you have to say but you need an avatar my friend. Sometimes I skip your posts on accident because I think it is a google ad.

Re: Oil Going to $200

If Hollywood makes an mega star movie about the corruption of the large oil companies and the so called ‘Petroleum politics’ to a certain degree I agree that yeah this is bullshit, I hate paying AUD $1.35/L and considering that the AUD is nearly at par and sometimes higher than the USD, It is worse than visiting the dentist when you go to the pumps.

Could it be a conspiracy about the whole ‘peak oil’ data which is published out there, yes it is a finite resource but who actually knows whether it is really running out past the peak?

I always thought keep the oil for the every other thing apart from cars, and invest way more on other forms of energy systems used to power cars. E.g. hydrogen, water, electricity, etc. Henry Ford...you useless twat.
