Well it seems that some airport security personnel have already abused their body scanning power. Some women printed out a body scan (naked image) of some Indian actor. He signed them for the girls.

I believe these scanners will hurt more lives than save them. Think about pedophiles taking home those naked images of kids. Or stalkers. I don't need any loser looking at my girlfriends naked body because she wants to go on a flight somewhere.

I just flew through Denver, where they have one of these. At least there, not everyone goes through it, and if you are selected to go through it, you can opt for a pat-down/wand search instead.

Have to admit, though, I was a little skittish when I realized I might end up having to go through it.

Id rather my girlfriend get scanned than felt up by a pat down. Like id say there are restrictions in place on those machines, I doubt the workers had the ability to print out X amount of copies without the celeb not being asked if it was ok, he seems fairly light hearted about it.

Don't see much of a big deal with it, i have nothing to hide except my massive dong :)

If you look deeper into the situation this about getting people into a slavery mentality. This isn't about safety. It is about people getting used to police/security interaction on a daily bases and the dwindling of rights.

I mean I agree if someone wants to take a naked pic of me go for it I personally could care less. But the idea of my girlfriend or future daughter/son having it done and being raised in that restricted environment makes me want to go hang out with the eskimos.

I thought flying was a mode of transport. I though everyone was entitled to have a driving licence unless they where excluded by the criteria laid out by the DVLA. I cant say I see it as a privilege either. Many people have to fly without much choice. If anything flying isnt a privilage as most people don't have to gain any special entitlement in order to fly.

Nah you have to pass a drivers test to get on the road last time I checked. if you are too old or too young you cant drive. if you are too drunk you can't fly. its not a right.

i would read into this the same way as to going to any club, yes everyone is invited but you have to abide by all of the clubs rules, otherwise your ass aint going in.

Yeah but this is no different than res0nat0r's Greyhound bus! yes you mite have to afford to and they mite deny you service, its still not a privilege. If NASA call me up and tell me they are take the shuttle out for a run and are inviting me along that would be a privilege. Or even if BA phoned me up and told me they had a few seats going to Miami and I was more than entitled to utilize them that would be a privilege.

This is not some privilege they are giving me, I didn't go through and special selection process or wait for them to ask me if I fancied flying with them its a business transaction. Funny thing is anyone who flies from the UK with a previous criminal conviction has to acquire a VISA from the US Embassy in London. My brother has 3 criminal convictions and gos shopping in America 3 to 4 times a year and has never bothered acquiring a VISA once. In fact most people I know (including myself) have has some sort of conviction and none of them have bothered either.

i think that we should just scan everyone and interview them. if the interviewer doesn't think they have passed the interview, or if you forget and bring your pocket knife with you when you walk thru the scanner or have more than 3oz of hairgel with you in your bag you are shot on site. quick and easy, this could help with the backup issues right now in airports too.

Dunno why ! Dispatches did a great hatchet job on Manchester airport. The security there are great British workers, drink tea, scratch balls and want 5 times the pay. They couldn't even be bothered to do the relevant security checks and just fiddle their check sheets.

The women who went undercover managed to pass their employment checks even though she completely fabricated her job application. What was even funnier was that if the people who checked her CV did their job they would of found out that she was an investigative journalist. This would of also shown up on a Google search:lol:
