Fortunately I'm grounded in reality. Bitching about it 24x7 on the internets is not going to do shit, its just a waste of time.
So because you cant do shit you don't feel you shouldn't challenge anything. You have put enough posts in this thread for someone who thinks its a waste of time :what
Everyone here has heard of the media talking about how we are going to be standing in bread lines tomorrow and we are all going to die because we can't afford our heating bills, enough is enough.
Apparently over 25 million people in the US are on emergency food relief. It doesn't sound to different to bread lines.

37 million chunky. It's crazy

I hope americans on MS don't represent the attitude of the whole country..

The "I can't do anything about it" attitude. There is a lot of that here.

Also reso you are not grounded in reality. You are grounded in chicken shit.

thx florida I found this morning. It is disappointing to see these guys just read their testimony. Nothing is going to come of this. None of these guys are going to go to jail.

Re: Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission - Everone is talking about Haiti?

Most people I know get their news from the Internet nowadays, I'd quit debating the notion of why the commission hearings are not being televised on stations besides C-Span. Moot point imo

I think following the panels are important, and tolerable as things have improved.

Re: Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission - Everone is talking about Haiti?

most people (Baby Boomers) ONLY get their news from TV. I don't expect the whole thing to be on tv but at least talk about it on news shows. Get out the "experts" and talk about it. Let the americans know that it was robbery.

Also things are getting better because trillions of dollars got dumped on the system. The private sector has been shot in the leg. The bleeding has stopped but his blood is infected.

From all the nonstop chatter from everyone on this thread saying we are complacent and not doing anything, i know for sure thats all that anyone in this thread is doing about it. With all of the posting in here about how fucked it is, there isnt time for anything else :)

Re: Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission - Everone is talking about Haiti?

I find it funny that we can have a thread with 50 posts and 4 pages and we still haven't talked about what "he said, she said" about the hearings.

I guess I will start.

Lloyd Blankfein is a liar, not the only one, but he seems to be getting all the blame. If someone is going to burn it will be Blankfein but I don't see that happening because of his power standing in society. Who is going to prosecute the King sort of thing?

Where the hell was Citigroup in this one? Didn't they get $45 Billion??I didn't see a representative did anybody else?

Baby Boomers also buy business magazines and journals here in the US, some people subscribe to all of them in fact.... we're not a twitter society when it comes to the financial crisis, sorry to disappoint you. It's a slow moving animal, took a while to get here didn't it? He said she said, is all over the blog world, I personally don't feel the need to regurgitate it personally. The hearings just began and will take a year to complete.

I will say I personally am less interested in what the CEO's of these company's have to say and more interested in what the actual workers of these companies think and have to say.

I understand that it isn't a twitter society. I was the one that brought up they watch tv and that is their news source so thanks for pointing that out:lol:.

They will take a year to complete because they want a long dragged out process since they know the average american has the attention span of a puppy, considering people are already bored of it and it just started. When 9/11 happened everyone knew it was Osama Bin Laden within an hour. They (CEO's) act like you have to be a brain surgeon to understand what happened when it is really simple.

I agree I wish more people working for the companies had to go under oath. They would lie anyways for the company.

I would also like to hear from the people that called the crisis. Call Peter Schiff and Max keiser and hear who to blame. This is like a court case where you only hear from the defence. Of course they are going to say they were were pulling the knife out of the american tax payer's back.
