First of all, I haven't seen anyone bash straight people in this thread or anywhere else on this forum. This whole gay marriage thing has exactly zero to do with straight people and affects straight people zero. Anyone whose marriage is "threatened" or "compromised" because a gay couple they don't know is getting married somewhere probably has deeper problems with their marriage.

With regard to the actual language of your post, though, it is both troubling and eye-opening. I don't know where to begin. Notwithstanding your at-times maniacal ramblings, I've actually backed you up on this forum in the past, both publicly and privately. Reading this, though, makes me wonder why.

^^^Hi yoyob, The politics section is given a certain amount of leniency due to the often times sensitive nature of the topics being discussed.

You may want to stick to the PR & GYY section because most of the people who frequent this section are quiet nice to each other in those sections. Nobody would get away with saying some of the things being said here in other sections.

So don't judge MS by a handful of threads in the political section, it's an inaccurate representation of the members on this board at large. With regard to the rudeness your seeing, it happens once every 20 or so threads, and sometimes it is more called for than other.

This one isolated thread has become one of the ugliest, yes I think the mods want to see the individuals on here work it out on their own, sense they have all proven to be able to do so on most occasions, sometimes simply by being perfectly cordial in other threads about other topics.

And I don't support saying those things to him, even though I disagree with just about everything he says. But what you see in this thread is the product of a whole history of our interactions with him that you don't understand as a newcomer. By now, runningman's bitterness and hostility is somewhat legendary around here and it goes way back. A lot of people have witnessed his rude verbal smackdowns of others, and so some people have just learned to dish the rudeness back at him right out of the gate - not saying that is good, but that's just how it is: he is reaping what he sows. It's a vicious circle.

As for me... all I can say at this point is: this is not worth dragging out any further. Let's all just chill, me included.
