Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

enter the bad guy (insert cheesy music) tam tam tam

This shit just insults the intelligence of anyone who knows anything about politics...it offers nothing new to the debate. Globalization with a new twist. Don't get me wrong I agree with most of the shit said, I just don't find it very shocking...the democrats and republicans cooperate woopty fucking doo... its called a government. The military industrial complex...etc its all something I studied as facts in politics. Elitism etc its nothing new and nothing shocking at all...all those things do not prove the conclusions made in these films.

The thing about Obama being a puppet...its true in a way thats what I mean when i say its naive to think that a career politician has a conscience...what chance has an average guy who has no connections becoming a president, candidates are selected by elites...its a fact but its still not very shocking to me...I don't know might have just gone numb. Maybe I should be shocked?

Keeping us on our toes:!: Willie Nelson, Jesse Ventura and KRS 1 do not make for a captivating documentary about a brand new President.

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

Watched the first one (second one appears to be dead)...meh. Several points to the video:

 1. Politicians basically mediate and serve the interests of their constituents. They have to not let things get too out of balance in favor of one group of constituents like they recently did, but it's a simple fact of life that financiers and heads of big corporations will always have a disproportionate sway. Why? Because they're the ones who fund stuff and make stuff that basically enables our modern way of life. They control the means of production which keep us from being in the freaking stone age, and so they will always have more influence. duh. Is it fair? Not necessarily. But that's life.

 2. This whole "New World Order" = America and Britain dominating the rest of the world...that's only been going on for the past 100 years already (HELLO mr. historian  ). If anything, I would argue that America and Britain are now undergoing a decline of wealth/power and that their influence around the world is going to decline as well. I doubt this "New World Order" is going to be so Anglo-American; if anything, it might tend to be more Chinese.

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

the moral of the story is that the banks have taken over your country. Lincoln warned of this a long time ago and now it is happening..not a big deal as long as you have tough hands.. and back..

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

^^Its not "happening" it already happened. As for Miro's point about Chinese controlling the NWO its not gonna happen...the west controls all the important patents and that ultimately what counts...all the corporations that have a global impact i.e. Nike, Coca Cola etc they are the ones sewing the seeds of the NWO. Again just to stress the point that when I say NWO I mean the official verssion i.e. global interconectedness and intergovermental coperation.
the moral of the story is that the banks have taken over your country.
By the way, they've "taken over" your country, too.
^^Its not "happening" it already happened.
^^ this.

Since the beginning of civilization, it's always been the case that whoever controls the scarce resources/money bags and means of production wields disproportionate power. This is nothing new, and Karl Marx already galvanized a political movement in opposition to this.

If you voted for Obama expecting him to reverse this entire wealth-power paradigm, then yes, you should feel deceived (and you should also have your head checked). If you voted for Obama expecting him to take some steps toward stabilizing this economic mess, making positive changes in healthcare, improving infrastructure, and improving US foreign relations...then the jury is still out as to whether or not you will be deceived. You'll get a sense for that in about a year; these aren't problems you solve in 90 days.

no they wouldn't.. They don't teach the ties of Israel over the propaganda machine in the US. They don't teach banks taking over countries and how they do it., They don't even teach civics anymore so nobody knows what law is and what their rights are.

#1182067Post 24 of 95

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

Err actually they do :) Israel and its lobbying power etc. The foundation of America i.e. founding fathers being the first elites in the US. The failure of democracy etc...I do learn a lot of good stuff it just depends what the professor believes. There ARE some that believe that the US is the land of the free...those I try to avoid.

But I would be lying if I said its all mainstream non-sense for example one of the professors openly believes that JFK was assassinated by the CIA and has questions about 9/11...so as i say its not all rubbish.

You guys know a lot more about American politics so I'm curious is there any part of this that hes made up, or edited to give a false account. I'm particulay interested in his statements regarding 16 to 24 year olds do 3 months National Service.

here's the full film Their view counter on YouTube appears to be broken its been on 36,751 for hours

Without even watching this, I can almost assure you that, at a minimum, it is edited to give a false account. That is what films like this do. I was able to see examples of that one minute into the video, where they've taken footage of a bunch of kids that came up with a self-empowerment-themed step routine in support of Obama's message leading up to the election to make it look like Obama is trying to organize some sort of youth brigade.

What is the 16-24 National Service thing that you're curious about? Is it the thing that Rahm is talking about like 45 seconds in? As I recall his position, it was something to the effect that if you were willing to commit to a certain amount of service, which could be anything from working with groups like Habitat for Humanity or the United Way to something more formal like the Army Reserves, the government would either forgive a portion of your federal student loans or provide a credit to be used towards higher education. Something along those lines, anyway.

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

ok I haven't watched this whole thing, and I don't know if I'll find the time, but some of the logic in here certainly boggles the mind.

Can anyone explain to me what that "investigative journalist" is blathering about around minute 20? Something about the fact that his "secret contacts" claim the "secret powers" are purposefully destroyed the economy so that they can then fool people into putting their money back in the stock market so that they can destroy the economy again because people aren't traveling and there isn't oil?

homosaywhat?

By the way, guys...that Thomas Jefferson quote at 1:15 is FAKE. Thomas Jefferson never said that. Jefferson did make some statements critical of banks, but there is no record of him saying that. It's been documented to death, and the fact that whoever is behind this video used it provides some very good indication of the (extreme lack of) trustworthiness and journalistic integrity behind this little gem. You may not be able to trust politicians, but you sure as hell can't trust these guys either.

See here for just a few examples: http://www.snopes.com/quotes/jefferson/banks.asp http://wiki.monticello.org/mediawiki/index.php/Private_Banks_(Quotation) http://www.markturner.net/2008/10/01/tracing-the-bogus-thomas-jefferson-bank-quote/

to obfuscate [the issue] - to make obscure; to be evasive, unclear, or confusing

That is the point of these conspiracy theorist documentaries; give out an overwhelming amount of fact, partial fact, warped fact (warped to the point of misleading fact), link together with unrelated other fact, partial fact, warped fact and create the illusion of a connection between them. Repeat this process (over & over) until full desired effect is achieved. Allow the viewer to believe that the creator of the documentary is looking out for them while the subjects of the documentary are against the viewer. Play scary music while talking about the subject(s) like the subject(s) are out to get the viewer. Finally, congratulate the viewer on his/her superior intelligence for being above the fray and taking time out to watch this complete nonsense.

^haha, poor wording on my part, what I meant was that your description of a conspiracy theorist describes the breadth and depth of rm's posts quiet often. That doesn't mean I don't think he's smart btw. I know a couple very intelligent conspiracy theorists...they are always right about a few things (emphasize few), but more often than not they are just paranoid imo.

Makes for interesting threads, I'll give'm that.

In some cases yes, I agree.

Now it's time to get :jacked:

But on the other hand, on some of the less intelligent conspiracy theories it sounds to me like they could fill in for or just do a segment for Lou Dobbs Tonight. "Lou Dobbs is looking out for you" CNN Commercial F*ck that. Lou Dobbs is just looking out for himself.

His stories practically do the same thing as my description above. I really can't believe how bad that guy's newscast is. Badmouth the heck out of the government (that's real difficult Lou - NOT), show a conspiracy theory or three, nevermind if you get any of the facts straight or not. In fact, go right ahead and contradict your field reporter AT LEAST once per show for good measure just to show you really weren't listening to them anyway. Finally, play to the bottom rung of intelligence on both the left and the right and cater to the redneck dirtbags who need to hear that everyone & everything is stacked against them for at least one good hour a day. Sprinkle that with some self-congratulatory Dobbs ego trip bllsht and a cheap pass at one of his good-looking young female field reporters and you have the worst one hour news report on cable this side of Bill O'Reilly. :DumbAss:

Forgot to add that you need to use the blurry camera lens for this show also because the flea bag host has so much make-up on that his face might actually show weed growth by the end of the hour if you didn't use it.

Guess I'll come up for air now.. Whew !!

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)
I think this is Shpira's point in the thread about $10 trillion and counting. You guys are agreeing again and you don't even see it.
Well as I said before a lot of the shit rm talks about I agree with I just don't see it as a conspiracy to take over the world. Population control means more money...by population control I mean the society we live in i.e. the news, advertising, fashion etc. Its all there to make money and its naive to believe that all those things are completely independent and without some kind of a design that would perpetuate the system itself and allow those with money to make even more money. e.g. the media is one of the pillars that support the government and the elites. They are guardians giving us a sense of balance so that we feel secure thinking there are checks and balances when in reality 5 corporations control more than 80% of global media. (I am actually writing my disertation on the influence of the media on US politcs now.)

Thats why I constantly try and establish what it is that has Runningman convinced in all these far out things...like a world government one currency etc. I don't think there is a secret society or shit like that. Its just a convergence of interest i.e. if you have lots of money and I have lots of money we have simmilar interests and vice versa if we had no money. However the problem is that IMO society has been divided with stupid, essentaly trivial issues such as religion, gender, race and sexual orientation to keep it in a state of conflict so that people do not realise that they are cogs in a big machine which is geared so that the elites can make huge amounts of money while we sit on our asses and talk about what Paris Hilton said about House music....

You guys can think what you will...I don't try and impose my oppinion on anyone and I don't think I am a conspiricy theorists...the things I talk about thave been well documented and formed the basis of Marxist political theory i.e. the class system. On the other hand I don't belive in Communism and Socialist systems not because they are inherently evil or what not but because ppl have been influenced by capitalism and advertising to such an extent that material goods is what 99% of the population care about....what they seem to have forgoten is that knowlidge is ultimatly the biggest reward on in itself and money is simply a tool for obtaining more knowlidge and freedom. So why should I waste my time and energy trying to get people i don't really care about to see my point of view? (btw talking in general not about ppl on this board)

Yep to both of the parts I left out above as well. I also agree with these two paragraphs. One of the things I appreciated so much about san diego was that people seemed to work together and were not afraid of anything. Communication was rewarded and encouraged among everyone, and people didn't care about the trivial sh*t as much. Smaller cities are 10 years behind the bigger western cities in our country in terms of social interaction and culture which makes things more complicated than they need to be frankly. Differences are what make America great and what make America good at solving problems. But if you have never traveled or lived somewhere different you wouldn't know any better...which I see leads to a path of conspiracy theories and close minded ignorance...which btw makes perfect sense when you live in a backward ass town where maybe 1,000 or 10,000 people hold all the power. Oh btw and they all look, talk, act exactly alike, of course those lower down on the food chain are going to have preconceived conspiracy theories about those few individuals.

How long is your dissertation going to be when it is finished? I would def like to read it if you are cool with that.

#1192405Post 39 of 95

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)
p.s. conspiracy theorists are part of the problem not part of the solution IMO
But surely answering their questions would help solve some of the problem. The Plane that went into the Pentagon for example. Show them the footage they are asking for, for the last eight years. Surley its not that difficult. Some of you lot seem to like patting each other on the back and passing these people off as a joke but your still not answering the questions. Can you honestly say that the 9/11 commission was not a joke. from start to finish. and if that's an example of what makes America good at solving problems, I'm not impressed.

#1192411Post 40 of 95

Re: The Obama Deception (New Documentary)

The dissertation is gonna be around 10-12k words....

What I mean by conspiracy theorists being part of the problem is that they make questioning the system sound insane and that they themselves are there at least to some small part to act as "guardians". If you think about it they filter out all those that question things and label them as their own which ultimately discredits people with valuable opinions. An example of this would be Chomsky...his work is truly magnificent meticulously referenced and investigated but if you go on Amazon and read the shit ppl say who haven't even read the work it becomes clear what I meant. An extreme argument could be also made that people think that they are making a change by watching a film or two and they feel better about themselves...then they come and preach about how shit everything is but they don't actually do anything constructive....just like the media. No doubt there are important questions being asked in some of the videos but they are questions that should be asked without being related to any particular conspiracy theory. Questions that deserve answers in their own right if you know what I mean?

Like 9/11 for example should not be related to Iraq or anything else...it should be related to ppl that died and to the events that happened on that day. Its unclear what happened, how it happened and why it happend so those things should be clarified...i am not sure if you guys will get what i mean?
