Re: All this talk about Iran...

You'll be discussing this fucking history right as American soldiers march through Iran...because in the end thats all we can do...so fuck it. Unless you inhabitants of the new world make your voices heard through a REVOLUTION!

I can tell you right now that if we march through Iran, we'll be marching through Russia as well, and North Korea, and even Venezuela.

Re: All this talk about Iran...

ok, im lost in the arguement. i was only syaing that the societiies that spread from the early persian and arab regions into northern africa and europe were not in any way working peacefully with the europeans of the age, but rather, were in a war with said parties for centuries.

but aside from that,

does anyone think that this iran talk is being genreated by the media and democrats, i mean, bush has clearly stated on different occasions that he has no aims at iran. but the occasions where iran is being brought up outside of the evidence showing, it seems to be coming from the democratic presidential candidates and pelosi, add in some media as well. but i have not personally seen any reports of bush threatening them with military action.

Thats certainly one way of looking at it...yet another way is to ask why not?! Why wouldn't they I mean America and Britain are world's chief retailers of arms...they have sold weapons to Russia's enemies (Chechen rebels had some and Afghanistan earlier)...Iran poses no threat to Russia and its even beneficial to them to have instability in the middle east because that means that Europe gets oil from Russia hence the new pipeline being built.

It also has a long going hate/dislike toward Israel (people forget that Putin was a KGB officer he thinks like one...and essentially not much has changed since he was one)...as you probably know or not it was also him who sold weapons to Lebanon (Katusha although from WW2 still effective) the use which caused an Israely retaliation with the use of cluster bombs.

As for marching through Russia THAT will NEVER happan...I'am sure of that much! If you do a little bit of digging you will find out some moves that Putin has made (sold high tech anti aircraft missiles which have anti stealth capabilities to Iran) and is yet trying to make (buy in majority stock control in a company which has been chief supplier to the US military for anti aircraft, radar and general navigation equipment)-he might have actually done this already as my sources are about a month or so old...

Thats why man made the Internet...

What is your opinion on PNAC?

Well, to the extent that I would attribute the downward spiral of our foreign policy to the neo-con movement, I can't say that I'm a big fan. When you look at the number of PNAC members who have been placed in prominent positions in the Bush Administration, I can't help associating it with the rampant cronyism that has characterized the last few years. And the actual performance of those folks -- Wolfowitz, Armitage, Libby, Bolton, Cheney, Rumsfeld? Can't say that I'm impressed.
