What is going on in France right now? The rioters are burning churches and cars to the ground. Does anybody know what pissed the muslims off this time??

Re: France??
its the Muslim community thats rioting in France ?? I saw a bunch of white boys running around with flaming bottles (iirc)
Re: France??
i think by this point its everyone rioting. its broke out into lots of different tiny cities now. for fuck sake, its been going on for a week or two.... grab your peace pipe, make peace and babies.
Re: France??
It's impoverished/ghetto areas that have started the trouble . Howeva african muslims are fueling the fires and making it into a nationwide problem . It was created because some youths fleeing from the police were killed by accident . Howeva it is being fueled by certain sections of society jumping on the hate filled violence bandwagon . It was not a muslim issue to start with but it is fast becomming one
Re: France??
i was kinda surprised to see no one posted anything on this til now. i was gonna run a search, but hell, i'm as busy as the next guy. when you hear reports of 1,400 vehicles getting burned to the ground, 36 policemen injured 2 shot, and entire neighborhoods getting burned down in just one night something isn't right. from the sound of it, it is going to get worse before it gets any better. now talk of changing up passports, and other international decisions are being based on this problem that i'm sure wasn't handled correctly. part of this seems to be stemming from the problems developing from immigrants not being able to "fit in" or adopt fully the cultures of the countries they move to. this lack of "melting in society" also effects the second generations that were probably born in that country but still not welcome. roits like this have also happened in the UK within the past couple years, but not to this level of destruction. i see many parallels with some of the conflicts that came up as race or poverty issues with hurricane katrina. as the world is becoming smaller with better technology society seems to be dividing further in many ways. it's an unfortunate part of life, but what can ya do? i like to think that people can overcome things like this, but it seems that our nature is against it. :what - well thats my rant and take on some of this.
Re: France??
Apparently there is an interm president there who has taken a very difiant attitude towards the immagrants and they have responded that things won't get any better till he is out. I heard today that the violence has made inroads to central Paris. Yup, they got a problem on their hands.
Is it just my imagination, or is the shit really hitting the fan these days?
Re: France??
the shit is really hitting the fan.. if it starts there it will be over here soon (North America).. the west has a big problem on there hands here.
Re: France??
^^ you think canada will be affected to the amplitude of riots?
Re: France??
its the begining of the next great holy war.
well not really, go check out the polics section for a more detailed idea. the french muslims have been going nuts over a pair of youths who got electrocuted when they hid in a generator after running from the cops. everyone flipped out that the police were in a ghetto, mainly populated by muslims whom are quite poor. now its getting worse. and in recent days, it seems that the white europeans have begun to fight back at night. seriously though, the whole jihad joke, take it with half a grain of salt, b/c as always, when assholes come out to play, they use whatever means to get more ppl, so a lot of blogs and islamic based sites have the youths calling for more to join in the fight to get the french gov't out of these areas.,
Re: France??
if the french weren't a bunch of wimps they'd send in the army to restore order cuz obviously the police can't.
Re: France??
we should have dropped a nuke on france a few years ago. oh and i just rememberd something.... who gives a fuck!
Re: France??
Well just as my luck would server I will be in Paris this weekend. Go figure:evil:
Re: France??

Im tired of muslims shiting on about their stupid religion... im a catholic and it doesnt really mean anything to me, like so many other people i know.

I think Canada will be ok.....we are lucky that for the most part stuff like this stays away.
We are content here to sit in our igloo's with a beer in one hand and a hockey stick in the other
Re: France??
well it won't spread to the US either...do you think we'd sit around and let the muslim fuck up our towns because they are pissed...i think we'd all band together....blacks, whites, black power bitches, and white supremecist red necks.
so i see london...i see france....i see that muslims wear no underpants
Re: France??
i don't get the impression it's strictly a muslim issue, but that the heavy immigrant population in some areas are getting harrassed and all together treated as second-class citizens. poor and discriminated against . . . what's a more appropriate gesture than torching a few hundred cars--instruments and symbols of wealth and freedom? hell, there's got to be more if it's spread so far. . . i don't know.
Re: France??
This isn't a strictly muslim issue .. It is stricly a respect issue . they don't respect themselves or others they don't respect the law they don't repect the area they live in and they are in impoverished areas because they never respected education If you respect yourself ,your goal is personal improvement which would mean you either get yourself out of the ghettos or you work with the community to improve the area you live in . If you respect the law and your comunity you work with it to root out crime and shame those creating an unhealthy enviroment for children to grow up in . Education both social and accademical is the only way you can prevent these sitautions arrising . But the human rights fruitecakes have ment teachers cannot instil any sense of order in the classroom .. This is what i believe is the fundamental cause for lack of respect and hope in the youths that are creating these these situations .Bad parenting is the other cause
Re: France??
let poor ppl die, any species that cannot survive by itself, let alone when it has reasoning and intellect above all other species, should go along with the dodo bird and wooly mammoth. im a ultra purist about humans trying to stop nature from happening. when im dying or like terry schiavo, just let me go, dont burden anyone trying to delay the inevitable.
Re: France??
the daily showed covered it last night and cracked me up.
"who is going to surrender first, the french or the french? how do they cope with a problem like this." :ROFLMAO:
Re: France??
^^ lol . i can't believe they started to fight in the first place that's why i automaticaly thought . .IMMIGRANTS
Re: France??
Sorry but the french gov bring it on them selves:!:
Re: France??
I'll try and look into some backgrounds for this situation...a lot of European countries have similar problems with minorities not mingling with the autochtonous population, and those youths making large part of the crime rates. In France it's mostly Algerians (former protectorate) and francophone Africans, in my country it's mostly Moroccans and people from the Netherlands Antilles.
It's been known that many French cities had ghettoized suburbs for a long time already, they just don't seem to be be able to stop it. IMO both Bart and Stencil_cp make a good point: in fact, they are most probably directly related. The 'contained' groups of immigrants pose a threat for the Frech society (wether a real one or simply in the realm of the 'we' and 'us' question), and provoke an unfriendly, sometimes hostile reaction with law enforcement troops. That makes the immigrants fall back on their own social group even more and take a distance from the state. The processes magnify each other, and this may be the outcome.
People don't feel taken seriously and start avoiding the state, the state however tries to exert and regain control by approaching those people more agressively than is usual.
@Sonatine: killing immigrants migth only be fuel for the riots dude, and apart from that: it will hamper any dialogue after they manage to get control of situation.
Re: France??
Sorry but the french gov bring it on them selves:!:
Agreed, and agree with Yao and bart, sightless.
I think from what I understand, it has alot of reasons.
First, I do think the French have brought it on themselves. France is now 10% muslim, and they were a Christian nation. Algeria was a Christian nation 1500 years ago, as well as Turkey, and the Middle East. So France is under a change in my opinion, and as we all know the only way the Middle East knows how to do anything is by violence.
Now the last I heard 9000 cars burned, schools burned, policeman and fireman shot, and the Police cant shoot a bullet. 300 towns involved. At least they have marshall law and a curfew now.
I have walked thru the Muslim area of Marseilles. It is totally muslim, in everyway. I was there, they were nice to me, until I pulled out a camera to take a picture and I angered a bunch of guys doing what tourist do ... take pictures. But did I know that muslims have religious beliefs about their picture being taken? Problem is for France, is they have allowed the immigrant North African Muslim people to come there and make a Muslim home, not a French home.
My thought is one day all of Europe will fall in the same way. France will be first.
America should watch and learn and stay away from the Socialistic democratic 'be nice to everyone' attitude that Europe has had for the last 20 years. It will be the end of Europe as we know it. Birthrate alone will change France in 45 years to be an Islamic nation.
It can't be stopped. Muslims riot, and this is the first of it.
The question is, what will trigger the next riot, and which country will it spread to next?
Re: France??
2 things.
-
although i refuse to show it, i am rather intelligent and schooled in these matters, ask Yao, i have had actual calm serious debates with him
-
as to Yao's last post. same shit here in america, but even more drastic. blacks and latinos in america account for over 70% of violent crime.
Re: France??
lol
I vouch for Sightless's ability to have a normal convo on political subjects. Your solutions can sometimes be a bit drastic though in your first reaction Sean, hahaha...I remember you saying we should nuke the Middle East sometime :D
And...be aware that the Muslims are trying to put this Islamic sauce over the riots again, while in truth it has nothing to do with that: the riots include all kinds of people who have one thing in common: they belong to an ethnic minority in France, and they're really pissed off with the way they've been treated and their lousy prospects.

i agree with that. and you bring up similar thought i had in my first post on this lovely topic.
heres the part i can't understand. every country/state/city is going to have its worst areas or "ghettos". it is inevitable that with the good comes the bad. but they are out there torching their homes, their schools, their lives. i understand that this make a global point, but in the end they are only hurting themselves further. really how can you stop this problem? either locally or globally?
i can see similar problems throughout history. i feel that it is engrained into society, and many of the social programs that have pushed for integration of minorities has its good intentions but ends up equally FUBAR'd. people tend to think ideally while in actuality things aren't always going to go your way. you have to keep trying to make your life and your surrounding better and not focus on why everyone around you is having a better quality of life. Re: France??
who said kill black babies before they become criminals...
cause we should just eliminate muslims before they strap homemade bombs to themselves in hotels.
obviously not serious.

Re: France??
and a question
How about French Soldier's Torture to Algerians??? The Great FRANCE! LOL
Re: France??
Abu Ghraib, to name the most recent one.
Put a little more effort into you posts....
Re: France??
Have they surrendered yet? I mean it's the French we're talking about here.
Re: France??
I don't agree with the violence in France or anywhere, but possibly the Muslims and/or the lower class French(not just Muslim) are mistreated. I really don't know, but I know the media would like to point this out as Muslim's rioting and being violent.
It may be true that the Muslims aren't adapting well in France, but I really don't have enough information. But, who's fault if true is it that the Muslim French aren't adapting well? And the rioting and violence by French Muslims definitely won't help them adapt to their new country, so possibly both sides are to blame.
Re: France??
muslims don't adapt anywhere in the world because they like to take over everywhere they go.. If you look at all the hot spots in the world (hot spots being war zones) almost all of them have to do with muslims trying to get a law ruled by the Koran.. please lets stop making excuses for the muslims.
Super how is it that both sides are to blame?? France lets these people in to give them a chance in the new world and they do this? I say send them all back to where they came from and let them fix there countries first before trying to get in ours. That is the only way I believe from stopping another religious triggered world war.

i could'nt agree more with this statement... right on..
Re: France??
I bet you guys didn't know about this: http://www.religioustolerance.org/bahai.htm
The other side of Islam, mostly resented by the fundamentalists (both militant and non-militant).
Furthermore, simply stating that 'Muslims' will never adapt is the biggest bullshit I've heard until now. That's generalizing to the max and then some: the same as in Christianity, there are certain small groups that do wish to agrssively expand and evangelise the religion. And no matter how hard people scream, it's still a small minority group. For the record: not even all fundamentalists are militant, in fact: only a small part, and those are usually found among the revivalists: they are the ones striving for a pure Islam and literally do as the book describes.
Fixing their countries huh? Why do you think they hate the West so much? Because WE tried to 'fix their countries' for them, which ultimately only worsened social conditions and ultimately led to that attack on the US embassy in Iran and the longlasting hostage situation.
And for the last time: the riots in France are about minority groups and socially disadvantaged groups, not Muslims goddamnit!
Jesus ff'in Christ, I cannot believe that post runningman. I was hoping to have put some sense into you by now....
Re: France??
I thought France prided itself on being predominately Aetheist.

thats it exactly. if it was a religious thing i feel that more could be done to try to solve the problem. due to it being disadvantaged groups there is no clear solution. it is nothing that can be solved instantly. even if a solution presented itself , i doubt that it would work globaly. yeah, you have to stop listening to the news and read between the lines. unfortunately i haven't seen a lot of news on this and an incredible amount of blogging on it. gotta watch those blogging guys. who knows were they are getting their info.
Re: France??
I didn't mean to fix there country for them. They need to do it themselves. Why don't the Saudi Princes give there money away to help the extreme poverty that is there in those countries. Quality of lIfe is what it is all about. I hear you protest against everything I say but at least I give an opinion you hide behind saying education is the key. I agree but how do you get it to people that are being told by there mosques to bomb shit. They are brain washed not me. I just know that there are people walking around with bombs attached to themselves and it isn't the catholics. Now there is an up roar and France is being burned down. All I am asking is where will it be next.
