Re: Islamic Caliphate

First of all, regardless of whether the beheading videos are actual or dramatizations, the U.S. would not deploy their troops to any nation because of video tapes; we didn't after videos from Bin Laden and we didn't this time. Loads & loads of intelligence is gathered before deploying our troops, little of which depend on media reports for intelligence gathering. These people sent/made the videos for attention? Could be true and idiotic, but it's their actual actions that are getting them this attention they sought from our military.

Secondly, Zover...... Obama has tried to close GTMO, but has been blocked by Congress. We've occupied it since 1898 as a naval base and then a prison for war criminals. Bush has been brought to trial on multiple cases of criminal activity that he authorized there (same as Rumsfield); it's no secret to anyone that tortures took place there after 9/11 and over 3,000 people were murdered here, but he has thwarted prosecution thus far. However, Bush, as our president, did not represent the will of the people, so holding ALL Americans accountable for anything Bush did, is ludicrous. People are still attempting to bring him to justice.

The U.S. began paying Cuba for GTMO in 1898 with 2,000 gold coins per year, and we still send Castro rent payments, but he refuses to cash them (understandably), he gets monthly rental payments as part of an agreement the Cuban government signed. U.S. occupation of GTMO (to my understanding) is primarily for protection of the Panama Canal, which we must keep secure. Bush used it as a convenient place to hold war criminals, justifying they weren't on U.S. soil so the tortures could take place legally (wrong!!!).

Lastly, Obama signed The National Defense Act (for fiscal year 2014) to relax restrictions on transferring detainees from GTMO, Cuba to the custody of foreign governments, thus, their countries can one day have their "worst of the worst" criminals back on their own soil.

This will be my only comment in this thread as I refuse to give beheading videos further attention on any internet site.:SuckeyTo:

My post wasn't about the ethics of GTMO, I was just pointing out that the alliance were just as bad when it comes to kidnap and murder.

Kind of when they went into Iraq looking for imaginary weapons of mass destruction. I think everyone knew there were no weapons.

Anyone else noticed that the international conglomerate of sleeper cell super soldiers still haven't done jack shit! Infiltrating, and training, then training and infiltrating. It's almost like it isn't real.

THis book is worth a read A good insight into the lack of strategy that led to the US/UK alliance getting their arses handed to them by an enemy they didn't really know in wars where they didn't really know what the objectives were or how they were to achieve them Those failures are now huge and glaring as the "security" the west sought to bring collapses and, yet again, the US/UK find themselves fighting against the people they have armed to the teeth..

Shame nothing was learnt, off we go again.

    • Im sure we have learned something. 2. we are not sending troops like last time, not yet at least. 3. we do have more intelligence gathered than the Bush era. 4. we sell weapons to countries and those weapons end up in the hands of terrorists sometimes.

Hah oops that is the wrong link...here is another The Islamic State: On the ground in Iraq - CBS News

Again with all of the internet Sherlock Holmes you guys do on random guys blogs reporting from their basement if you actually wanted to see what you want you could google and goto liveleak or some other site and find this shit in 5 minutes...but that isn't the point. Jerking over nonsense is the real goal.

Re: Islamic Caliphate

Another video, still no blood when John makes the cut. What else is strange, is why have all these hostages been so subdued. You could argue that for one or two of them. But for them all to have the same reaction, that's very suspect. Not one of them has been cring, acting terrified or put up any sort of struggle.

#1730843Post 150 of 172

Re: Islamic Caliphate

Probably because the CIA told them that they need to keep calm and quiet in front of the fake desert beading bluescreen backdrop, so as to not disturb the sound studio next door which is currently filming the next man on the moon landing footage.

#1730844Post 151 of 172

Re: Islamic Caliphate

Might not be far from the truth LOL. Whoever is making these videos doesn't seem to have the minerals to do a proper beheading video.

#1731033Post 152 of 172

Re: Islamic Caliphate

is it because these guys are random nobodies from western nations doing the beheadings?

there is a video of various beheadings from Syria, all bar one or two of the 10 the guys struggle to get a clean cut and have to twist the head off some with the help from others.

have I posted this already?

Maybe they lose the image of hard ass mujaheddin if they vomit or struggle to do a simple beheading....

lack of blood on the initial cut is odd.

Meh ae are back in Iraq for round 3...politicians and I guess their buddies in big business got what they wanted
Meh ae are back in Iraq for round 3...politicians and I guess their buddies in big business got what they wanted
The majority of the US population doesn't want any involvement on the ground in the Middle East anymore.

Why would a politician to "help his buddies" go back to war, up his parties chance of getting blowback and voted out of office be a smart way to keep his secret cabal of friends laced with cash?

#1731145Post 154 of 172

Re: Islamic Caliphate

I assumed it was buddies with vested interestss in iraq in syria, like when Halliburton (?) et al got mega contracts to rebuild infrastructure and shit after iraq 2.0.

You're right about backlash from the public though...I assume that those same buddies donate significantly to their relevant political party....its all a bit tin foil hat now really.

I'm speaking through my ass now though.

Another video, yet again there is no actual beheading of Peter Kassig. There is some archive footage of some other Syrian aircraft technicians being beheaded.
