are you really tring to say that the firnace they used to heat that steel was burning at the same temperature as office furniture LOL
no i,m not but the point is that is stainless steel which is harder than normal steel and to twist it between them they are putting well below a quarter of a ton in pressure between them... its quite a thick piece as well

my point was that just how pliable steel becomes when it gets heated and the weight it is bearing is the pressure... of course it would buckle.... oh and i just know ur gonna come back with well buildings of a similar nature have burned and not fallen... probably because those buildings were made recently with higher grade steel
Only your can of Red Bull is made of Alluminum and completely hollow, put some steel rod's inside it and you're back where you started.

Maybe you should get your meccarno set out build a 10 x 10 structure bolted together and add some cross frames and strengthening brackets and take a blow touch to it LOL

And your can of Red Bull won't fall into its foot print either.
you're missing the point... its a solid structure that has had its structure rigidity compromised at the side

Actually the building in the Madrid fire was built in 1976, burned for 2 days, no hint of a wibbly wobbly

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

I find the red bull can analogy absurd, the only way you can squeeze a can in such a way is with your thumb AND finger ie, you are applying pressure from both sides simultaneously. As you say the building was damaged at one side, though i'd dispute the structure of the building was damaged at all. For the tin can theory to hold water you'd have to "squeeze" it with the end of one finger from one side, and not simultaneously use your thumb. Try that.

Ok lets do your tin pot experiment. You get yourself a Heinz Beans can, empty it, put a dent in one side, then using ur thumbs at the bottom and index finger at the top and try to squash it. Upload it on youtube and post it here in the next 12 hours and I will donate £50 through the MS donate tab. If however you cant you should agree to pack up your shit and go away, not just to day forever. LOL

my thumb and fingers can't make thousands of tons of pressure created by tons and tons of steel and concrete... you obviously missed the point

this is my point exactly... and when u damage the can on one side the can when squeezed falls in on itself from the top... honestly try it

If the top and bottom of the tin come together in uniform fashion, ie without mis-shaping to one side, then i'll back the above with £100

The word squeeze, by definition, means simultaneous pressure from more than one side. If you can uniformly squash your tin with one finger then i'll accept your theory

But your thumbs and fingers, in attempting your analogy would meet some resistance no? Whereas this building, and the other 2 steel framed buildings that collapsed due to fire that day, met none. How odd

No but you claim you can do it with a Red Bull can. I'm telling you to do it with a bean can, something only slightly stronger.

I should have added a 11 second limit to the bet LOL. O well I'm feeling generous. 11 hours 40 minute to go

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

the logistics behind the theory that it was a controlled demolition bin that theory almost straight away....thousands of people involved in many months of sneaking into a highly secured building with huge boxes of explosives and other shit

What really, LOL your comparing the force a child would have to flatten a can to flattening a building straight down. How heavy is a child compaired to your Iron Brew can?

You stamped on the can? Why did you not just place your foot upon it gently to achieve the same ? Because you had to apply a force greater than the resistance of the material in question

bing focking OOOOOOOOOOO
sounds like a lot of talk and no follow up
that is a classic from a guy that thinks the government made a plan to fly 2 planes into two buildings and then make 3 buildings fall from controlled demolition in order to create a war in which america gained oil and whatever else they could get.... its completely absurd

I think it's fair enough if that's how you see it. It is in some way absurd.

But I feel the same about the official story.

hey that's fair enough in my opinion as were all individuals... were all entitled to our own option... the politics forum was made to make people debate instead of argue or take the piss out of people with different idea's, unfortunately most people forget this

Politics in the real world doesn't even work like that. What hope do we have on an edm web forum?

You can't even get the official story right, it was 4 planes into 4 buildings (only 3 hit their target) allegedly.

#1698608Post 116 of 194

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

We may not know exactly what happened, but we have a pretty good idea of what didn't happen. George Bush did not perpetrate 9/11 in order to start another war in order to gain oil whatever else.

It would not be the first time... The Gulf of Tonkin 'incident' started the war in Vietnam.
