Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???
I saw another video of an architect who said that they would need 10s of tons of explosive (if not 100s) to pull of Tower 7 and possibly in the several 100s for the Twin Towers and to have that much explosive secretly snuck into the secure buildings by a few individuals without getting noticed, all of whom would be drilling holes into the load-bearing pillars, laying out the timed charges, laying out well concealed fuse-wiring so neatly over what could only be described as a several month / year(s?) long project and still not be noticed by a single individual working in those buildings - would be nearly (downright) impossible.
50 floors divided by 10 tons that would be a ton for every 5 floors. 50 floors divided by 100 tons 10 tons per floor.

mean while back in the real world

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

100s of tonnes? really? Queens Court in Glasgow, to just pluck one example from the air was a 22 storey building and was brought down with less than 70 kilos of explosive. The system used was non-electric ie wireless, so nobody was laying out well concealed fuse wiring neatly, there was none.

That's how the professionals do it, quite unlike our perceptions.

Yea that didn't make sense either, I'm gonna try to find that interview and post a link here.

Do you have a link to that? I'm trying to find this particular event. Was it a controlled demo or just destruction?

#1697870Post 44 of 194

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

I just googled controlled demolition companies and that was among the top few links to come up. I appreciate building 7 was twice as tall, and no doubt wider too but not by a factor of thousands, which is the difference between 70kg and hundreds of Tons. Forgetting the technical side of setting charges and thinking in terms of putting that into a building without being noticed, 1 man could physically handle that weight in easily less than a working day, it's less than 4 bags of cement. A good lad would have that up before tea break.

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

It makes me lol a bit though that people keep thinking of silly stories like this, but think for some reason that large objects crashing down onto other objects might be a cause for enough instability to cause something to break...

Did you post that in the right thread? This discussion is about a steel framed building that wasn't unstable at all. To suggest things falling onto it (of no significant size) caused a simultaneous collapse throughout the building's internal structure is silly indeed. And I lol a bit at the absurdity.

Spurred by conspiracy theorists' questions, investigators did look specifically at the possibility that explosives were involved. "Hypothetical blast events did not play a role in the collapse of WTC 7," the report states, adding that investigators "found no evidence whose explanation required invocation of a blast event." Moreover, the smallest charge capable of initiating column failure "would have resulted in a sound level of 130 dB [decibels] to 140 dB at a distance of at least half a mile." Witnesses did not report hearing such a loud noise, nor is one audible on recordings of the collapse.
actually there is plenty of video footage that contradicts that statement. I can dig it out of you want.

No one is arguing that here, neither are they blaming Bush like you concluded earlier. You do sound in need of some reassurance though. The big question that remains unanswered is why building 7 just collapsed, as the fabric of the building was wholly intact. As yet you've offered nothing in the way of an explanation and seem to mock those that try to. Tell us what you believe, i'm interested to hear.

It was office fires, yo.

The demo of the block in glasgow I used as an example previously cost £1.2million, serious money. I guess, with hindsight they could have just bought a box of matches??

I read the link thanks. Not much science or physics there though, unless you're 12 years old. Which you may well be for all I know??

Here's a childish animated picture with as much relevance as you want to attach to it.
Simple, the NYFD announced to everyone that WTC 7 was severely damaged and it was starting to lean when they used a transit on 7. The BBC and other foreign outlets have no idea what building 7 is so some places said it was evacuated and it might come down other interpreted that it already came down. 9/11 was a chaotic day there were inaccuracies all day. The BBC also reported a man survived in one of the collapses by tumbling with the debris. CBS later announced the same thing.
have u ever worked in a steel yard ?

i have and i know how much heat it takes to twist metal ( e.g. http://twistedsteelladderrungs.com/sitebuilder/images/HPIM0784-384x348.jpg to do this from square bars ) but then if you add the fact that the "hot bars" are load bearing with tons and tons of concrete and steel and whatever else then you will see just how stupid the controlled demolition theory is.... just because building 7 wasn't hit by a plane and fell due to fires doesn't make the whole thing a cover up by the government.... the buildings were just badly designed in the old days by older people who didn't have the knowledge that people in the building trade have now...

still on the design thing the building was designed for fires to happen in isolated parts of the building and be dealt with accordingly not whole floors to catch fire and not be dealt with

i really can't believe some people actually fall for shit like this.... someone is making a shitload of cash from these conspiracy theories ...

Go on then extrapolate on your steel yard expertteese how much heat from office fires does it take to twist steel? Funny how you mention the word twist. If something twists it doesn't fall straight. And if you go back to the original investigation they couldn't even weaken the steel in the recreation.

Have I ever worked in a steel yard LOL

my point is it really doesn't take that much heat for steel to start to bend and if u consider that the steel has a huge load of weight on it then it will bend easier than u might think... considering the fires were all over several floors it would make the heat from those fires spread quite easily and evenly over a vast area effecting the whole structure of the building

a simple experiment.... take a can of red bull ( empty ), hold it with both hand using ur thumbs at the bottom and index finger at the top and try to squash it... i,m guessing u can't... but now slightly squash in the side of the can and do the same as u did before.... the whole structure collapses very easily.... this is how the twin towers came down

#1698463Post 75 of 194

Re: Building Doesn't Fall by Fire???

p.s. i mentioned the word twist for one reason not because i think the beams twisted but because i know that as soon as u apply a certain amount of heat to steel it becomes very very pliable and weak

Only your can of Red Bull is made of Alluminum and completely hollow, put some steel rod's inside it and you're back where you started.

Maybe you should get your meccarno set out build a 10 x 10 structure bolted together and add some cross frames and strengthening brackets and take a blow touch to it LOL

And your can of Red Bull won't fall into its foot print either.
