BBC News - BBC poll: Rest of world favours Obama

Not that I needed the bbc's poll to confirm what I already knew, but as our world becomes more interdependent every day, it is nice to know that re-electing Obama is favored by our international friends.

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

That's a good argument to vote for Mitt.

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

The popular vote and electoral vote are going to Obama imo.

#1655384Post 4 of 50

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

The popular vote sounds like it might be a bit close unlike the electoral.
The national polls now range from showing a 1-point lead for Mr. Romney to slightly more than a 4-point advantage for Mr. Obama. The FiveThirtyEight forecast of the national popular vote is within this range, projecting Mr. Obama’s most likely margin of victory to be two or three percentage points, approximating the margin that George W. Bush achieved in defeating John Kerry in 2004.
Of course they favor him. He makes our country weak.

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

 So all those countries who depend on US spending to bolster their economy are happy when we are broke or not in a surplus? That is somehow better for their economy? Comeon...

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

omg, you ppl really didnt know that?! here in the german speaking part of europe we could not even think of someone like romney being taken serious in any way whatsoever. he is such a big joke and everyone knows it. i cant believe, how a person like him can even become a presidential candidate....but then again i couldnt believe the same thing about bush..

this is really sad actually. nevertheless, you dodged a bullet there.

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

Germany actually seems to possess some fiscal sanity, much unlike what we have now. Not sure how you can be so brazen as to speak for all Germans in proclaiming your love for the incumbent.

On a similar note, those bastions of liberty, Cuba and Venezuela, also chose Barack...so pardon me if I take any international endorsements with a grain of salt.

#1655497Post 13 of 50

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

I can, polls in germany have shown that more than 80% of the germans would vote for obama.

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

That makes no sense, your own government has actually put the breaks on indiscriminate spending, pretty much a polar opposite to how Barry Soetoro is governing. You are welcome to him.

And boy are we succeeding! I mean, by every measure our country is a success. Right! RIGHT? Because we're America. And that's good enough of a measure as any other.

To be honest, I'm quite content that the Germans are going to suffer for irresponsibilities of nations.

They should suffer. And not just for the minimal techno sound they unleashed on the world btw.

Nothing has anything to do with this country if you just wish it so.

I wouldn't equate 'gabber' with 'contributions'.

YMMV.

Minimal: All melodies must be equal or no melodies may exist.

hmmm, it seems what i wrote didnt come across right at all. I was trying to avoid using the term terrorists/jihadists or the like. Rephrased, what I mean is that it would be false to suggest that all people in the world want the US to do well (Iran, certain groups of ultra religious pakistanis and those with similar viewpoints). However, I would suggest most people do want the US to be strong as they are a source of stability, both to the economy and security, and a major proponent of human rights and democracy.

"Huh? Human rights????" - Middle Easterners.

Democracy? Tyranny by the majority faction? That's something we should be promoting?

I do not think you know what democracy involves.

it's tyranny of the majority. that's what democracy is. you think that's a good thing. I find that ....strange.

Do explain the societal benefits of when 50.1% of a country can dictate the rules.

I don't see this as a good thing - you do. Please, enlighten me as to why this is so.

The most violent leaders ever to walk this planet gained control through democracy simply because one group who had the superior numbers could simply vote away the rights and livelihoods of those in smaller groups.

Apparently I'm not connecting the dots as to why this is a good thing.

Enlighten the rest of us here as we read your praise of democracy, please.

I wasn't aware re electing Obama is similar to electing a "violent leader" like Pol Pot. Shit doesn't look good for us at all now that I think about it.

before you throw the word tyranny about you should think about what that word means for people in other countries

Re: Rest of World Favors Obama

The right wing vehemently detests Obama, I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime. My childhood best friends parents are off their reservation over Obama. Normally they are reasonable people but this election has turned my friends Mom into a raging psycho. She's insulted my entire family suggesting we are against God's plan for our country and essentially don't know what we're doing when we vote for Obama. I know many other right-wingers share her nutty views.

Rather than get pissed off at dems or those who voted for Obama maybe next time GET INVOLVED MORE, spend that hateful energy on a local level where change really takes place...

It's frustrating to see people who don't know what they don't know let FOX NEWS feed into their ignorance.
