Election Poll
Re: Election Poll
if I can give enough fucks to request my absentee ballot, I will probably write in my dead cat's name.
country is fucked either way imo
Re: Election Poll
^ | :roflmao: <-- sarcastic laugh. The quantitative easing currently taking place in conjunction with the debt crisis is some scary shit. Neither candidate is touching that right now. So I lean toward not giving a fuck... but ultimately hope Obama wins re-election.
Re: Election Poll
i want to support obama. i like him more than romney. but his kill lists, strikes in libya, extending the patriot act, drone strikes in yemen....can't vote for that.

lmao. all of that and you'd still support that mom-jean wearing douche, because "i like him".
Any chance your dead cat was named Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.
Also, I'm voting ron paul. because ron paul.
maybe johnson.
Re: Election Poll
Seriously? Who gives a f**k?!
But, maybe obama wins.
Re: Election Poll
should be one poll if you can actually vote in the election; and one for if you are just an internet interested party. ! ??
Re: Election Poll
as an outsider i hope its obama... that romney geezer is a twat

possibly.
but i feel bad for him
because of the mess he's about to inherit
Re: Election Poll
Well, I guess the people are smart, to give a properly vote
Or not .....................
Re: Election Poll
I hope its Obama but does it really matter at this point? If Obama wins, the Republicans will do anything to stop whatever it is he is pushing for, even if its something they themselves were for not 5 years ago. If Romney wins, we'll be in another war with Iran, debt will sky rocket yet again because of it and his tax breaks, and the Democrats will try to do everything they can to stop what they want to pass.
Our Congress is a Joke, we are stagnant and the only thing keeping the USA as a major superpower is our consumerism and our bloated military which is bigger than the next biggest 20-or so countries combined.
Re: Election Poll
Obama will remain in office for another term. Romney is unelectable and there isn't anybody else that will even comes close.
The whole election thing is a freaking circus anyways, and these asshats are basically clowns playing their part in the freak show.
And sadly, the laugh is on all the decent folks within the US and really do feel sorry for you all.
Re: Election Poll
Hate to say I told you so, but...

Johnson for me. Barry Soetoro? Fuck no. For the purpose of this poll, Shitt Money all the way.

The Military is so large because it has become a world police force (and also to secure oil supply lines). If you are excited about $10/gallon oil, that's a quick way to get there (by bringing down defense spending to equitable levels as other countries), along with an intentional crippling of domestic energy sources (and not building a new refinery in how many decades?) while wasting time throwing public money into a GREEN hole with little to show for it ["green" (aka battery manufacturing) sources that create more toxicity in their manufacturing locales than coal and oil ever could].
Anyway, Shitt Money last night proved he's not down for the count just yet. O'Commie has his work cut out for him.

I've been shtting myself since 2010 when the first QE began, now I'm practically numb to it and beyond giving a fck (the open-ended nature of this one does raise more alarms to be fair, but it's still more of the same...adding worthless 0s to the balance that we're expected to pay back). FEMA cleanup on aisle 9!
PS. When has Barry ever uttered a critical word about the FED or Bernanke? At least Shitt Money is open to an audit, ffs.

I'm really happy to hear Romney doesn't want to cut our defense budget at all if he were in office. Fuggin jagass.

I watched the first 20 minutes of the debate and thought they were both asshats. Where were the other candidates? lol democracy lol

The primaries are over. On the 11th the vice pres candidates debate though - biden vs. paul.

Which state do you live in?
Re: Election Poll
A state Romney will easily take in the southwest. My Johnson vote will merely be a political statement and not amount to much more, which basically reflects on a much larger scale every 3rd party's lack of prowess/influence come election day. More misery and pain is needed before one can have a breakout.
Re: Election Poll
^Ahhh, arizona, that makes perfect sense .

Thirty years of Top-Down Economics--to which Republicans still swears on a stack of black crap books that it works, Science and Physics are all Wrong about everything--back to the Middle Ages mindset of thinking ... As Bill Maher has said many many times... there are plenty of Conservative Parties the World currently has. Other Countries have Conservative Parties, it is only the current American Conservative Party that has this weird illogical anti-Evolution, anti-Science, anti-Biology, anti-every-Religion-that-isn't-Catholicism-related, thing about it.
They are a special breed here.
I am all for letting people delude themselves with whatever Religion they want to have faith in.. but when that crosses over into Policy, and forcing other people to live by their deluded faith's ideals.. that's when it bothers me. We are ALL Equal and should be treated Equal.
Re: Election Poll
^You have any more judgements to make against people of faith? And really? Anti-biology? Which has in more recent years discovered just how early the unborn suffer pain from an abortion (as early as the 2nd trimester). How dare someone wish to limit the sacrifice of the unborn in the name of convenience (which is the vast majority of them).
^Ahhh, arizona, that makes perfect sense .
Nope but close. Anyway, your presumption is nearly equivalent to me saying you're voting for Barack, you must be from Michigan. Don't forget that the repeal of the ever important Glass-Steagall act was a bipartisan effort that received Bill Clinton's blessing, so don't give the Republicans screwed everything over poutrage and expect to be taken seriously.
Re: Election Poll
Are most Texans ashamed of Bush? Just out of curiosity? Or is he seen as a hero to most Texans? (or somewhere in the middle  )

The middle in my (albeit limited) findings.

When I said Anti-Biology.. there are a few elected Republican's that have said that a woman can't get pregnant from a rape... there is somehow some "defense mechanism" that kicks in when women get raped as opposed to having consensual relations. You don't see independents, democrats, or other parties say this kind of garbage... Also, they have no problem having Viagra being paid for by insurance companies, but when it comes to Birth Control and Contraception pills, it's a no-no. Birth Control pills etc, are not their ONLY purpose, many 'womanly' pills or contraceptions are taken as part of their health. Maybe if they payed attention in Biology class or took a Health course in high school, they would know this.
Where does all of this Anti-Woman, keep Women in the home out of the workforce attitude come from? Certainly not mainstream society...
Same reason the Catholic Church diminish and degrade the historical significance of Mary Magdalene... she was Jesus' confidant and most trusted advisor but the Church DENIED that in favor of their Men-Rule-All attitude.
Also, I never brought up Abortion.. I understand being anti-Abortion from a pure Science and Life perspective... I don't think that is a 100% Religious matter. While I do disagree with some people's interpretation on when a Life actually begins--to which I think Science knows a lot more about that than Faith.

Frontline is awesome.

^Thanks for the reminder, the last time I tried to view "The Choice" it wouldn't start. Frontline ftw.
Re: Election Poll
watched it yesterday, it was a great program and highly recommended. Which candidate do you think the show favored? Intentionally or unintentionally I think it favored Romney.

I concur.
I am particularly elated that women are now actually forced out of the home and into the cold, harsh conditions of the working world, whether they like it or not. We have feminism to thank for this.
As for now, almost every single female must fight the same struggle that every man has been fighting for himself for decades. We have almost reached equality in this matter, so there's that.
Women should, in fact, thank mainstream society for making them equal.

"The only exception I have to have an abortion is in the case of the life of the mother," said Mourdock, the Tea Party-backed state treasurer. "I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize life is that gift from God. I think that even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen."
The FUCK is wrong with these crazy people?
Republicans need a damn Intervention STAT. What happened to the separation between Church and State? Quit forcing your godamn fucking crazy spook story religions onto the rest of us.
Re: Election Poll
I know it might come as a shock since so many have moved on to "enlightenment", but this country has strong religious roots, and there is no such clause in the constitution nor did Thomas Jefferson mean to equate it with a freedom FROM religion when he addressed it in a letter to the church over 2 centuries ago. But back to the topic. Technically, a life does begin at conception, and the Senator has every right to voice his beliefs. CHRISTIANS believe that even horrid tragedies of unspeakable violence are allowed by God to happen, and that the outcome can be a blessing and it is not man's place to take innocent life. It doesn't automatically condone rape, and it's a brave position to take in today's PC world where man elevates himself to God. I don't see Roe V. Wade at risk of getting overturned because a couple of Senators voiced their ("unpopular") opinions. And an "embryo" actually can experience pain from an abortion as soon as the 2nd trimester, so let's not be too callous in damning others about expressing said beliefs. If life is just an accident, then it holds little to no worth and can be squashed if society or the state deems it. Even more significant, the percentage of abortions of pregnancies that have stemmed from rape is in the single percentile.
Why are you not similarly outraged that the President himself is content with letting a failed aborted baby die in a room, alone? Or even condones partial-birth abortions, which are the most heinous and inhumane of all?
I know you'll find kindred spirits here, so I should probably just bounce instead of facing the mountain of ridicule that others are bound to have since I took this stand. Flame away.
PS. Yes, the way he worded it did him no favors, but to expect every politician to believe just like you (and demonize him if he dare think differently and bring up the "separation" red herring) on all manners of life/existence is not the way to promote harmony.
