Re: Election Poll

I'm pretty sure most 'enlightened' women in the USA right now don't want people in Washington telling them what they should or shouldn't be able to do with their bodies. Strange isn't it, not that women would think so crazy like that, but what in the hell are they doing outside of the kitchen anyway?

Re: Election Poll

As for Roe v Wade getting overturned... that is a HIGH possibility. It all depends on who is President when the Supreme Court person gets elected. Supreme Court run things.... if most are Republicans who have no trouble going against Fairness and Equality where the Law is concerned.. then that may get overturned, it is always a possibility.

Personally I don't think any Law or Person should have the power to tell anyone what to do with their bodies if it doesn't infringe upon the rights of anyone else or harm anyone else. Problem is, both parties think that some Laws are OK to do that and some aren't--Logic would think that they should drop the stupid feud and merge and call it good. But NOPE, here we are, stalemate.

And Vin, there is a big difference between expecting every politician to think the way I do and doing what is Right in the name of Equality and Fairness for every American. I thought that was the point in Government? Not having bias's and discrimination towards other people but some don't see it that way...

Religion (god aka money, both are pretty much synonymous these days) has a funny way of running people doesn't it?

Re: Election Poll

Why don't you comprehend that killing a baby inside a woman's body is the same as killing a baby outside a woman's body? It's a life and killing is against the law. Period.

If a person punches a pregnant lady in her stomach and the baby dies, that person goes to jail for life. But by your rational, if the woman decides to have an abortion and kill that same baby, its her right to do so?????

Liberals ...

Re: Election Poll

Well since roe v wade might get overturned if romney gets elected and appoints 2 justices women will go back to staying in the kitchen. good thing obama is going to win ohio and get re-elected tho.

Because a woman won't have a choice to murder an unborn child, the she'll go back to "staying in the kitchen"???

Re: Election Poll

Since repubs think they know what is best for all women in this country they will just have all the babies and make all the food. in the kitchen of course since thats where they belong.

Buddy, women are going to have abortions whether it's legal or illegal. Induced abortions become much more common when abortions are illegal. I'm pro babies not dying also, but I'm not naive.

Using your logic, might as well outlaw Condoms, Birth Control and Contraception then huh? Because, using your logic, going against what "God intended" AKA "The Natural Way" is preventing a life from happening, ie: same as Abortion, ie: same as shooting someone in the head. Wow....

Right? That IS your logic.

And Yes, that is HER and the FATHER's RIGHT to do so. You don't understand the difference between a stranger punching a woman in the stomach and killing a baby that she wanted and the FAMILY's decision to abort it due to various reasons? They are not anywhere near the same and even equating the two is asinine in my opinion.

People like you see no problem with family's going into poverty because they have 10+ children and can't handle them economically because only the mother or father can earn a living and oftentimes those salaries are not enough to keep those children in school and pay for basic essentials. I agree about personal responsibility but again, using your logic, they shouldn't be using Condoms, Birth Control or Contraception because that prevents a life from taking shape, ie: same as Abortion, ie: same as shooting someone in the head.

Makes perfect sense right? That story is only continuing the poverty of people and adding to the deficit of those children and the way they are brought up.

Peventing life is not ending a life. An abortion ends a life that has already begun, period. Not sure how much simpler I can make it for you.

Of course I understand the difference between the 2 scenarios I gave, but obviously you chose to look at it in the wrong way. It's about killing. Regardless of how that killing happened (violence or "controled") it's still killing. That's the point I was trying to make.
People like you see no problem with family's going into poverty because they have 10+ children and can't handle them economically because only the mother or father can earn a living and oftentimes those salaries are not enough to keep those children in school and pay for basic essentials. Dude, I don't even know what to say about this dribble that came out of your head. Did I mention anything about birth control or condomns, no. You chose to put those words into my "logic". I do have to agree with you though. Personal responsibiltity is something all people need to take into consideration before they get themselves in a situation that they can't handle.
And I am not a damn liberal, I am my OWN individual logical thinker, thank you very much. Fucking annoying. Don't call me something I am not, you don't even know me dude... Ok, ok, calm down tonto. Excuse me for grouping liberals and democrats in the same category. Its totally different from the way you group conservatives and republicans as the same people.... right? Totally different....

"Whacko's in their tax-free church's" that's a good one, I'll have to remember that.
Yes...I bet most women in the USA don't think gov't should be legislating something like abortion.
Can we agree that murder is wrong? Wew .......... I just googled abortion photos so I could post a photo on here for you, hoping that maybe it would open your eyes to what happens to a baby during an abortion. I'll spare you though, they're pretty disturbing. As a father of a beautiful 2 year old daughter, I can't image ending her life before she was born because my wife and I weren't "ready" to have a child. That is the case in the majority of abortions you know. People who conceived a child just don't want to have one, so they kill it. Truly sickening? How can anyone see that as ok? It's the mother and father's decision to kill the unborn baby and that should be legal??? Just because a baby hasn't been born yet, doesn't mean it's not alive. Out of sight, out of mind for pro-choicers I guess.

Now this may shock you, but in cases of rape or if carrying a baby to full term will result in major health problems or death, then I believe it's up the woman and her doctors to make the best decision. I don't agree with abortion in this case, but I don't think it's the government's job to make that decision. These are extreme cases and make up a very small percentage of abortions. Still doesn't make it right though.
Buddy, women are going to have abortions whether it's legal or illegal. Induced abortions become much more common when abortions are illegal. I'm pro babies not dying also, but I'm not naive.

I'm sure they will man. Just like people do drugs, but it's illegal; people steal, but it's illegal; people rob, but it's illegal; people murder, but it's illegal; but not all those people get caught. There's a time in everyone's life where they have to answer for the decisions they've made; good or bad.

Re: Election Poll

I do agree that there is a way better alternative than abortion, and that is Adoption. If you don't want the child that is growing inside of you, giving it up for adoption to potentially good natured parents who can't have a child through natural ways. So that, I am pro-Life to a certain degree, I just don't think we should make laws that force people to do something with their own bodies because what is next? Outlawing masturbation? Who is to say Life doesn't begin with a sperm?

Like some have said before and you have reiterated... just because something is illegal doesn't mean people won't do it. Having abortion legal makes it so valid doctor's who know what they are doing, using safe procedures, do it in a way that doesn't harm the woman having it done. Having it illegal forces it to the black market.

That's so funny coming from you, the notion that Washington shouldn't interfere with anyone's life. Apparently that is only applicable to women's vaginas

How...amusing.

No woman should ever be in a kitchen or at home. They should be out in the fields, out in the workforce. Permanently.

Again, thank fuck feminism has forced them away from watching reruns of the price is right and stupid daytime talk shows.

Agreed, adoption is definitely the best alternative. It's likely though when given a choice between giving birth for adoption or having an abortion, most would choose the latter.

Again though, an abortion isn't something that just happens to a woman's body, it's killing a life that has begun. If killing is against the law, why is the line drawn inside the womb. I don't understand why that's ok or just a woman's choice.

I've never heard of a sperm fertilizing an egg on the bedsheets or inside a condom or on a stomach or on a face, or like Dave Chappelle says, inside the fishtank.

It's curious that the Democrats are pro-choice: don't they understand how badly this country needs more taxpayers and welfare recipients? They're practically shooting themselves in the vagina here! I mean foot. Shooting themselves in the foot.
Question: Did Romney loose on immigration/women/monetary policies alone?
Policy, etc. aside, I think he ultimately lost for the same reason John Kerry lost in 2004 -- he's a guy that essentially won the party nomination by default against an unpopular president, but that no one in his party was all that excited about. Of course, you can dissect various positions, but when I think about what actually drives voters, I think it all flows back to fact that he just wasn't a great candidate. There are other parallels to Kerry as well, such as being from Massachusetts (obviously), being so wealthy that he's completely out of touch with the way most people live, and being perceived as willing to change positions as needed to be electable, but I think it ultimately came down to him being a bit of a dud.

I will say this, though -- given the demographic shift in this country, the GOP needs to do something to court the hispanic vote or they are going to be in real trouble in the years ahead. The perception that the GOP's policies are anti-Hispanic immigrant leads to them getting killed in that demographic, and it was worse for the GOP in this regard this year than it was in 2008. It no doubt helped take a state like New Mexico off the table for Romney, and could actually put a state like Texas in play for the Dems 2 or 3 cycles from now. If the GOP loses Texas (and probably Arizona, one would assume) as a reliably red state, and their paths to 270 start to look pretty convoluted.

Yes. Court the hispanic vote. As if they could do it better than the Democrats? If not the hispanic vote, then the single female vote. If not the female vote then pander to the blacks. the asians.

Truthfully we already have a party that offers free everything - what in the hell makes you think a second party offering the same would be of any use?

Perhaps this is because you're as obtuse as those who are not interested in history, who frown upon reading, and embrace the quick fix versus the long gains of discipline.

I never thought of this before but you are eroding my doubts, and perhaps on purpose? I cannot say for sure.

The Republicans will never be in the White House again. They will be lucky to hold the House for two more years, but I predict the demographic shift forecloses them on ever leading a branch of government again. SCOTUS will be packed.

I know you read the Federalist Papers in law school: what is your take on the absence of gridlock when one party controls the branches of government (as well as the civil service bureaucracy) ....forever?

Toasty, does this sit well with you? Perhaps it does. It is a very sugary thought. The blood rush of controlling everything! But when you control everything, you control nothing: just ask any chinese person living in china how much they are involved in their government.

I'm curious: Does this sit well with you? I'm honestly interested in knowing how you think this will pan out long term. I've laid out the framework that will happen, how would you color it?

If you think my forecasting is wrong, I challenge you to correct it. I do not think you will be able to. That would require you to submit that the Republicans and conservatives will 'rise again,' as it were. But I know that we both know that won't happen. But again the challenge is there.

Personally, I think the Republican party should split so that they can never win an election ever again. It will make the transition to let authoritarianism that much easier and hopefully bloodless.

After all, dissenters are normally executed under such environments.

I hope we are long and dead when they round up the last of the dissenters.

The other side of the coin is simply secession.

It is an option. It's that, or flee. (and renounce citizenship so you won't be taxed!)

It won't happen tomorrow. It won't happen in five years either.

It's not about Controllers, either. I'm not sure what that even means, in fact.

You assume they have a plan. That's where you are incorrect, I think. There's no plan. It's simply an organism composed of, primarily, the media as the mouth, the civil service bureaucracy as the internal organs, and universities as the asshole. unlike biological norms, this creature has a digestive system that flows in reverse.

there is no plan. it simply exists - and evolves to perpetuate itself over all obstacles.

There is no plan.

it just 'is'.

There is very little stopping it from happening, however.

Could you picture a progressive demanding the government to cease rounding up dissenters or possible threats to the 'organism' I have described above? They only shout against stuff like that when they're not in power. Case in point: no pleading with Obama to quit drone murders. (The only ones speaking of this are the Libertarians and they're a lost cause anyways).

Re: Election Poll

Controllers being the ones who decide it's time to engage the citizen dissension roundup method, delivering the final blow to the constitution. I think it would be a suicidal decision for them, ultimately.

Loved the description of the beast feeding on its own shit.

'that's a load of bullshit"

You sound like a redneck. "That's bullshit".

Nobody here needed more proof of your vapidity, but if you want to pile it on, no one here will stop you.

Re: Election Poll

You like typing long responses to basically tell us we are full of shit. I just cut to the chase.
