It's a new flick by JJ Abrams (Lost, et. al.)
I think it's supposed to be a bit of a mystery (obviously), and lots of other world tie-ins.

I've heard it's NOT Godzilla, nor Voltran, nor any connection to Lost. I'm guessing the various sites linked from parasitemovie.com will yield more clues. But something is counting down to happen within a month or so.
Although as I've read nothing connected to Lost - it sure sounded like the monster from Lost on the island.

I read a blog post earlier today that had all the answers. In the end you get a code number. Most people presume that number is to be used for whatever the main clover field page is counting down to on August 1, 2007.
The code is 54312. I'm only passing it on based on what I read, I don't know what use the number has, but the word is that you may need it for whatever is going to hit on 8/1.
Of course, 8/1 may come and only more puzzles will result.

tons of viral marketing and fake websites goin on for this one. i thought it was a great preview before transformers imo, hadnt heard about it before that or could give 2 shirts about jj abrams, ive never seen a single episode of lost and am proud of it. i noticed that the dood in the preview who is having the party thrown for him says he is going to japan, i know the stuff on the net says this isnt a godzilla or voltron remake, but if this fukin turns out to be another godzilla movie i will be pissed. come up with some new shit ppl will be my opinion.

it can't be a godzirra movie cause the rights to that are owned up through i think 2011 or something..... it's not voltron either for that matter.
what i've come up with is this: the whole movie is shot with handi-cams...most of the budget is going into special effects (like 20 mil or something). It's about some alien/monster that comes to earth and well... lands in nyc! It will begin when a recovery crew finds thier video cameras and they begin looking at the footage...and from there it will obviously tell a story. If War of the Worlds had been shot Blair Witch style...this is what it would be. Should be a blast!

they are doing a very good job of keeping the monster under wraps and letting the hype build up. this better not be just a lame godzilla with a different monster movie. hopefully it will be better than that.

Let me just start off by saying take some Dramamine before you go or the camera will give you weak stomached people motion sickness...
I saw this at a prescreening last night in Charlotte NC and enjoyed this movie from begining to end. It has some funny lines, a camera man who doesn't give up, a wicked monster, and some mass destruction (Poor NYC...can't get a break when it comes to monster flicks...why doesn't LA ever get destroyed or London??). I am not going to divulge any of the story because you must go to the theater and see it for yourself. It will not do the movie justice for you to wait to see it on DVD.

I JUST SAW THIS> OMG. probably the most intense movie i've ever witnessed. The monster was iincredibly well done. they didn't skimp on the special effects at all. it may seem slow at first, but the first 20 minutes are central to the plot in a way. a sub-theme if you will, so don't get ancy.

this movie totally sets the bar higher for any monster movie to come.
(there was a trailer for Ironman with robert downey jr. that looked money. and also a short clip of the new Star Trek, directed by Abrams as well).
i'm just buzzed about this movie. go see it.
