Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
I usually am able to snag the HDTV rip the next day, it's nice.
Craziest scene so far: When Sil is eating dinner with that other mobster and the assassin comes out of nowhere and starts blasting...ridiculous.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
well we are two episodes in and tonight we will get the third episode. cleaver just cracks me up to be totally honest. the last episode gave some hints that serious things are about to blow up. phil leotardo is probably going to kill christopher and I have no idea where tony will stand in it. can't wait for it tonight!
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
Aside from a very few bright spots, Season 6 is the worst imo; there's just really no drive to the storyline of some of the episodes; like they're killing time just to get to that last episode.

^^^^exactly... this season so far has been piss poor.... I mean who freakin need to see a scene with veto junior shitting in the shower....thats all the could come up with?
used to see heads in bowling bags now this.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
for once, chuck, i agree with you. these episodes are aimless and dont connect with the previous ones nearly at all. the episode where Junior is "schooling" the asian kid then the asian kid beats the shit outta junior, i just dont get it. im sure the final episode will be a shocker, but so far im pretty dissapointed.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
They also need to move away from the whole "cleaver" movie. I thought this was ridiculous a bunch of mobsters coming up with a shitty movie. I hope the next couple of episodes step it up a notch.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
i'll bet christopher gets clipped.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
I think Tony will die by the end of the series.

i doubt it because i have a feeling they would want to keep him alive if they ever decided to do a movie
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
Finally an episode that flew by, this one definatly kept my attention..
I dont want to mention much in case some of you missed it but Damn...i am not sure i like Tony anymore....

Good call Jenky- I didnt see that one coming at all.
Down to three episode, holy shit.
I cant believe AJ has become such a crying pussy. Im not into his development at all, sad to see it going the way it is.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
the more and more i think about it, I didnt like how all of sudden tony abruptly kills chris.
Chirs was such a important character you think they could have been a little bit more creative in writing him off the show.
Chris was so loyal instead of ratting tony out with adriana, the one he truly loved, he sided with tony. which to me shows he would never have ratted tony out like was saying in his dream...the whole cleaver thing was silly imo.... and the actual last thing that put tony over the edge to killing chris (he initially was gonna call for help ) was hearing him again say he would lose his license bucuz he had drugs in his sytem.
Chris deserved a better send off.
good thing this is the last season because they have lost it with there story lines ...
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
its just a tv program.
however, this latest episode was more than predictable. i fumbled around my apt while it was on, so i'll watch it again.
what i remember is: talking, car wreck, murder, mourning, fake mourning, blah blah, peyote, blah blah
i could have written that script and sold it for a Mill Yun Doll Hers! :FuckOff:
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
I agree with Chuck. I think that Christopher deserved a better send-off. However I also think that any and all characters would've deserved a better send-off. IMO a car wreck is as bad a cop out as waking up and realizing that everything was a dream. It was like they didn't know how to get rid of him and did it the easiest way possible.
I think a better way to go would've been that Christopher comes to Tony after killing that Tim Daly guy and confesses to Tony. Then Tony would've acted like everything was cool but deep down he's pissed because Christopher was obviously drunk when he left that party. Then he gets someone to 'off' Christopher.
I don't like that there's such poor continuity from episode to episode. It's like there are brand new story lines, etc. from week to week.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
yeah this season has been all over the place. none of the episodes relate to the previous. it's good they've decided to end the show because clearly they ran out of fresh storyline during season 5.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
well, at least it's not "Brokeback Gangster" this season. i've enjoyed alot
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
True the season has been all over the place, but I guess its hard to end it properly when really this type of storyline is one that you could keep going for years because of all the characters and the stories behind them.
Just wait and see what happens in a few more episodes..... more than likely its not going to be a 'clean' ending, there will be alot of questions left to answer etc...
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
if aj cries much more, i'll be forced to send hatemail to the writers. these final episodes lick unclean chode. other than tony bar stoolin out some teef, i've been bored.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
^^^ seems like it peeked in season 3 then it has progressively gotten worse...That last epsisode was so damn boring. Half of the freakin hour show was spent in the shrinks office.....wtf.

That shot of the teeth flying out onto the floor was great!! :D
As for AJ crying, I thought that scene of him at the pool with Tony was a strong scene. 8)
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
^^^^^Yeah, its just sad to see his character deteriorate and regress into a whiny little bitch. Not the route I think they should have taken with AJ, but then again, Im not the director or screenwriter.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
I love it
jeeeeeezzzzzzz.................and you people embrace digweed when he 'evolves' his sound?!??!?
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
Richie Aprile should stay in the game, he was fuckin great!!!
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
Now, without describing what happened in the last episode(Some people still haven't had a chance to watch it yet), what are your opinions on what will go down in the next(the last) episode ever?? I can't wait for this Sunday night!
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
without revealing much, i think the jail scenario i had been debating over isn't possible any more. last episiode was pretty predictable, but it sucks that the show will end. no matter what complaints i had about the show, i will miss it when its gone.
imagine this..... by the time the box set for all seasons comes out it's gonna be $1,000.00 +
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
^^What did you think of the last episode?? For me it was kind of slow....then all the "stuff" at the end happened, then the show was over...I was like WTF???
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
All I have to say about the last episode is.........WTF???!!!!!!?!!!?!?!?!
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
WTF???

WTF???!!!!!!?!!!?!?!?!
seriously, wtf!
dont spoil anything for those of us who have to wait for a torrent.
k, thx!
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
^^^My bad.
Those about to post...do not spoil it for those who havent seen it yet. thanks
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
i will chime in with a WTF?!?! and leave it at that.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
What a lame ass ending episode. I piss on it.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
Bullshit - if you haven't seen the episode yet then don't read the thread! I'm not a fucking babysitter.
The ending sucked. I couldn't even get on HBO.com last night - their server was experiencing some heavy traffic.
Bullshit ending imo. Of course there are the people on the board over there that feel like they are the most intelligent people on the face of the earth. You know the ones I'm talking about - they're the ones that think that 'Memento' was the greatest film in the world because they "think" they get it. Pointing their finger at those of us that say that last night's episode was a cop out.
IMO the ending was worse than if Tony had awakened from a dream. My wife started yelling at me because she thought I'd fucked up the DVR or something. I'm just waking up and still pissed that I wasted an hour of my life to see absolutely no resolution. As a viewer I don't need everything spelled out for me but ffs throw me a bone.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
^^^^Agreed.....lame ass ass way to end a lame ass season. Major dissapointment, the whole way through I kept expecting more.....at least something.....anything to happen......but no no avail, HBO leaves us with shit. They must have fired a screenwriter after season 4.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
David Chase said he always had in mind how he wanted to end the series. I'm surprised this was the ending he had in mind. He left a couple of things open obviously like the last scene. Were those cops, hitmen, or really nothing at all? And what about the imminent arrest of Tony Soprano on Federal charges? And who's the informer in the family? I heard them talk about a Sopranos movie and wonder if those questions will be answered in the movie if there is one. If not, then the ending was definitely disappointing.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
Ok, I've given this more thought. Check this out:
Remember at the beginning of the season when Tony and Bobby were in the boat and Tony told Bobby that when you die, things just go black, you never hear it. That's exactly what happened in the last scene. I've heard theories abound about how the guy was Muslim and probably blew the place up. There's no way that's possible given the fact that Chase knew how he would end it - we didn't have this quagmire with the middle east that we do now.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
i dont care what explanation can be offered about last nite episode ,,, it sucked ,,, big time
heard about the movie too ... maybe they left things open here to get you to see the movie
pure advertising
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
I thought it was a great ending. The tension in the last scene was just amazing. I could barely stay seated. It gave you the feeling of what it must be like to be Tony; checking who walks in every time the door opens, never feeling comfortable. I like the idea that the screen going black means that Tony got popped, but I don't think thats what happened. But thats what made the ending so cool; you can interpret it in different ways.
I will say, it was time for the show to end. The last 2 seasons were overall disappointments. But I give them props for the ending. Chase decided to go against what everyone expected (I was expecting a Scarface-style shootout). Going against the norms is what made the Sopranos such a good show in the first place.
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
that was a week ass ending....the guy obviously cant write anymore.....he left so many loose ends untied. the last epsiode was just a joke.....glad leotardo is gone...would have been mad if he won out over tony....would have liked to see silvio recover to.
seriously though....why so much time dedicated to AJ (one of the weaker and more annoying chracters) in the last episode??
Re: Sopranos - The Final Season
I only watched the show from time to time and caught the finale more out of desire to be culturally aware than because I actually cared about how the show ended, but I have to say, if I had been watching it religiously, I would have been pissed at that ending. I understand why they did it as they did, but that was just woefully unsatisfying...
Spoiler in black below:
We've been having some issues with our DirecTV lately, and when the screen abruptly cut to black, my wife about hit the ceiling, thinking it was another satellite problem.
