Went and saw this one yesterday, boy does it kick ass. All of the performences in it were excellent, highly recommended. I think Scorscese has more f bombs in this one than in casino, and this movie doesnt even have Joe Pesci in it.

Dude this is a remake/rip-off of a Hong Kong classic called Infernal Affairs starring Tony Leung and Andy Lau. There're 3 parts to the series.

its out for awhile so u probably could get the trilogy from your nearest asian video store but dont bother with part 2 and 3 ... those 2 are crap imo .. but get the first part which is what the departed is a remake of

Huh, I must have watched the wrong film. I thought this was too long, and boring in a lot of places. Couldn't even really tell you what it was about, it was laid out that poorly IMO.

I mean, what the hell was that bird doing going off with Leo half way through it???????

Plus language was WAY over the top, as usual with Scorcese

Went last night, it was long, I'll be honest, but a VERY good movie. Go see it, in the theaters if you have 2.5 hours of free time.

Saw it last night, great movie. Starts a little slow but becomes tremendously intense and very suspenseful. A+ cast and performances across the board.

i dont care what anyone says, leonardo is a fucking briliant actor, i though it was a great movie, cool duelality much like the movie heat, there were some aweful casting desisions made though....

alec baldwin was the best of the minor characters i thought, very good.

antony anderson i disliked until he was in the shield, gained a whole new respect for him as an actor after season 3 of the shield.

im sorry if im not impressed by any baldwin acting, their roles and tough guy attitued seem really fake to me, forget what you think about the oscars in gerneal, but has any baldwin won one? my guess is that they havent. his role is completly one dimentional in this move and i think martin scorse did that on purpose. but hey watever if he gets you wet thats fine by me

I was suprised to see that it hasn't been posted. Its a couple weeks old, but it is a must see. The cast is great as well as the acting.
