What an excellent episode - cant wait to see how this develops long term.

One of the most well thought, intricate series i can remember.

Re: Heroes on NBC
what more can u ask for from a tv show? after tonight's episode im sold that nothing HBO could dream up can take on a show like this. best show on tv. every fucking night at 959pm im screaming "NOOOO"
lol, you gotta be kidding me! This show is entertaining but it's so simple and shallow compared to anything HBO puts out, especially stuff like Deadwood or Carnivale. Or The Wire, for that matter. Scenes usually last no more than 2 minutes before switching to something else so people with a short attention span don't get bored. The dialogue is pretty weak too.

This show is good. It's entertaining. But it's far from being as deep as HBO's offerings.

#748714Post 85 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

yeah, network tv cant touch HBO.

the wire is the best tv show ever

Re: Heroes on NBC

Great show this last week. Really really like how the plot is coming together. Also a little more insight about the prof and his Father. Also the good/bad cheerleader dad. Really really interesting. Also the fact that there are so many other Heroes out there. What a fucking twist. Left me hanging with my ipod headphones.

#755371Post 89 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

episode after next is a "flashback" episode, takes place 6 months before the start of the show... mohinder's father alive, cheerleader discovers her secret, etc

#755508Post 90 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

im buying this on DVD the morning it comes out.... and the first season isnt even over yet.

#756404Post 91 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

what a fucked up episode. her head splitting open..... BARF

and yet another HUGE plot twist in that hiro is manipulating time from the past.

petrelli meets cheerleader meets sylar meets the weird black guy meets police... coooooool

i am so beyond hooked with this damn show.

#756407Post 92 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

Damn, I knew I forgot something this morning ... queue up Heroes on my BT!

Whose head split open, the cheerleader?!

#757113Post 93 of 263
petrelli meets cheerleader meets sylar meets the weird black guy meets police... coooooool

Do i really have to wait another week?

#757118Post 94 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

I was really not happy with the last one. Yes it was a cliff hanger and la la la. Wow, the doc is back and on track with his Father's trail, yeah! I could not see that coming, you invested about 7 shows with that guy in it. Wow! The cheerleader lived, and Peter saved her. OMG! NO WAY! AND HIRO GOES BACK IN TIME TO SAVE THE HIS DINNER BABE! OMG! THE PHOTO TOTALLY SHOWED IT! ECK.

Ergh. Pretty lame. I hope the next one makes up for it.

/frustrated

Re: Heroes on NBC

"Greato Scott"

#758710Post 98 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

Hiro is gonna be a monster vocal character i think. they are developing him into such a good character with the whole topic of ''using and learning your powers responsibly, taking steps to alter the future now that he knows he cant change the past''

and finding out how the father met teh voiceless black guy is still unanswered. as he seemed to know him already 6 months ago. is he some CIA/FBI guy who found out about the powerful? did they turn the telepathic girl? i think so..... crack is a good word for this show.

Re: Heroes on NBC

I seriously would pay 20 a show to keep watching it after next monday........

#758849Post 100 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

seriously ... theres nothing to describe this besides it being addictive like crack ... took prison break and lost off my list ...

i always liked Hiro .. its great the way they are developing the character

Re: Heroes on NBC

Great show, but in no way would it ever replace Lost or Prison Break.

I love the whole twin story back fill they did with the blond girl. Her story/character is one of my favourites.

#758903Post 102 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

you just compared this to prison break. thats like comparing the godfather with duece bigelow 2

i agree that heroes/lost/PB are on the same quality.

the nikki/jessika storyline is acutally probably my least favorite though...

#759052Post 105 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

^^^ I sorta thought that at first, but after last nights episode I really like how it's her twin who died protecting her...

I also like how the explained how Sylar's character came to be

Re: Heroes on NBC

i liked this one a lot more. the prev was ... um kinda lame filler for me. but this one was excellent. they got a good pace going ... and they are doing the lost thing as well. ergh. i was hoping to use this show as a crutch until it comes back ... ergh.

great show. love the direction ... thank you writers for no x-men rip-off.

#762577Post 109 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

yeah I agree, this weeks episode was way better than last, last weeks was a waste.

Re: Heroes on NBC

Having run out to LA to become a writer to avoid telling my parents I wanted to be a DJ and trying my hand at putting even a feature length film together-I am truly awestruck and intimidated by the guy who came up with this-SO many layers

Re: Heroes on NBC

Co-creator Jeph Loeb is a veteran on the comic book scene so he might've been a big influence on the story.

Re: Heroes on NBC

crazy episode, definately a good cliffhanger. would have liked a bit more advancement in hiro's storyline but definately soom good plot twists with other characters.

crack cocaine this show is. its okay fellas, we'll get through this 6 week break together. :Nerves:

#764709Post 118 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

I dunno why but I was expecting a bigger cliffhanger. Maybe too much hype.

I agree 100% hiro is the man.. i love that dude so i would of liked his character to unravel a little more. No other complaints about the episode. Unbelievable is what it was.. lol..

We are starting to see peoples true colours aint we??

Is it true about the 6week wait? i'm in Australia and got no idea.. please say its not true... pleeaaaseee

#765355Post 120 of 263

Re: Heroes on NBC

yeah, 5 week wait. US holiday shows will be devouring the networks from here till new years.

and i think they are going to make hiro an extremely pivotal character in the long run. lets face it, and no spoilers here, but we already know..... (not factoring this weeks episode to avoid spoilers until tomorrow's replay)

 1. he knows he cant change the past
 2. he has stressed ''responsibility to use use the powers to save ppl
 3. he knows he can alter the future
 4. we know there is a SEVERE war in the future, and he plays a major role (remember the train scene from week 3?)
 5. he, also based on that train scene, might be a leader of sorts.

now for spoiler material from this week

. . . . . stop reading here

. . . . . . . . . . . .

we know sylar is out, young petrelli is the actual bomb, and not the guy from the hospital, older petrelli might not be entirely good, the father is independent, and the haitain isnt exactly listening to him, issaac and hiro are combining big time for the ''good'', and the bad, who knows where sylar is headed.
