Seems like a good choice...

I enjoyed his role in Black Hawk Down.

Ewan McGregor would have been a good choice too.. excelent actor as well

#230572Post 3 of 55

Lets just hope hes better than that Timothy Dalton geezer cos he was absolutely terrible. Personaly id like to see Robbie Williams eventually take over the mantle of Bond cos i think hed fit the part perfectly. Im not a fan of his music in any way but he has a certain charm and charisma that would suit Bond down to the ground.

i must tell you are right... :P he made a clip like bond, didn't he?

He did, and i though he was rather good too.

#230580Post 6 of 55

hah what a suprise 2nd aussie to play bond! and yes timotyh dalton is the worse bond ever!

#230588Post 7 of 55

Good choice... Ewan would've been god too, but Bana will make a better Bond I think.

Anyway... Sean is the best 007 ever... after him... well, it's hasn't been the same anymore... (just saw Dr. No the other day)

#230590Post 8 of 55

of course sean c is the best bond ever! and roger moore comes 2nd

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

ehhhh

Im not sure if he's the right choice.

And yes , Sean Connery was the best bond.

Although Roger Moore was the funniest

#230598Post 11 of 55

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

he sucked in the hulk.

he'll probably suck as james bond too.

#230599Post 12 of 55

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

Roger Moore was not that good, I would say Pierce is second after Sean. And Timothy definitely sucked.

#230616Post 13 of 55

Hugh Grant!

:ROFLMAO:

#230638Post 14 of 55

Honestly I was hoping for another Aussie...

Hugh Jackman. He would have been a GREAT Bond.
Honestly I was hoping for another Aussie...

Eric Bana is a terrible choice

#230650Post 18 of 55

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

Connery is Bond - he was & is still the best. But Brosnan was really good too. Moore , Dalton & Lazenby had make an good job but was not very special. I don?t know what I should think about this new guy.

#230659Post 19 of 55

My choice would have been Clive Owen cause he rocks a tux and he's intense and interesting.

I hope Bana won't be dull.

#230662Post 20 of 55

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

should've been Clive Owen

#230664Post 21 of 55

what are you's talking about, Bana will be lethal, bring a little bit of chop Chop to the role, introduce a bit of Neville Bartos like treatment, Bond needs updating, and roughening up, Bana is a good choice.

#230675Post 22 of 55

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

ok - good choice! but jude law would have been a good choice too...

#230692Post 23 of 55

Re:: Eric Bana new James Bond

...or george clooney!

Totally agree with that, Clive Owen would have been amazing.
Have you seen Croupier? If he performed anything like he did in that he be well up there with Sean.

#230703Post 25 of 55

should be interesting. the guy was the best actor in Troy by far imo :Bingo:

#230705Post 26 of 55

and i agree. clive owen would have been the best imo, but i heard he didnt want to do the role because it isnt "challenging" enough
what are you's talking about, Bana will be lethal, bring a little bit of chop Chop to the role, introduce a bit of Neville Bartos like treatment, Bond needs updating, and roughening up, Bana is a good choice.
Update bond?!!!

Are you mad? Bond is Bond because he is timeless, he never ages, he is never out of date nor ahead of his time. The main quality needed to be bond above all others is smoothness. That and being British.

Making it more gung -ho and pulling off kung fu sequences will just cheapen the image and be the death of it.

#230757Post 28 of 55

two of the brosnon movies were - despite being decent action movies - very poor bond movies, possibly the worst two

tommorow never dies and die another day were completely ridiculous, i was very disappointed. hopefully more like the world is not enough are to come, i thought that had a more oldschool bond feel to it.

#230930Post 38 of 55

he's a good actor. clive owen wouldve been better though

#230937Post 39 of 55

no offense but jude law is a bit of a pussy.. I dont think hes been in any decent action movie sure bond needs to be smooth but also funny.. u carnt forget the classic one liners :) who carnt forget "Keeping the British End Up Sir"

#230949Post 40 of 55

Enemy at the Gates was good if you consider war movies "action" movies, which im not sure one would :?

i think Jude Law is a good actor, not necessarily an action hero, but he could bring back the oldschool bond, suave ladies man that i dont think anyone has been able to pull off all that well since connerry and moore.
