well im looking for this movie...i just watched the 2 other parts and there are pretty well made in my opinion....and there are pretty cool to watch...speacilly the effects :D

The X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier (Stewart), have to contend with evolution itself in the form of their resurrected ex-teammate. Reborn as the Dark Phoenix, Jean Grey (Janssen) is not only a danger to herself, she's a threat to her mutant comrades and the human race. And when a potential cure is discovered -- one that could stop genetic mutations -- the lines for a conclusive battle are drawn between the X-Men, Magneto's Brotherhood, and humankind.

all I have to say is... wow... I did not expect somethings, whereas, others I did... so I am still digesting what I saw (I suppose that means I really enjoyed it then).

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

got this from another board

You're planning to see X-Men: The Last Stand this weekend, right? We expect most of you are. That being the case, apart from our regular reporting on the movie, IGN FilmForce now asks you to do one important thing. If you're an X-Men fan, you'll regret it if you don't! At the theater this weekend, when the credits roll, when the audiences begins to filter out of the exits... keep your seat. And then, perhaps, share this little secret with a few of your friends: the movie isn't over.

We don't want to spoil anything for you, but we want you to know that the scene that follows isn't your typical post-credits tack-on. It's a coda for one of the main characters. The scene is maybe 30 seconds in length, but it's enough. And it will surely be one of the more talked moments in the fan community.

Think you know what this scene is? Guess all you want, but chances are that you won't see it coming.

Yeah, I missed that bit, so I have to go again!

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

Didn't quite like it as much as I thought I would. Effects were cool, but the whole thing seemed rushed and the story was a little ridiculous. But hey, it is X-Men and I think I'm just pissed they didn't have Gambit.

I would tell you, but that would ruin it.

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

just came back from watching the movie and imo Brent Ratner ruined the entire trilogy ... the funny thing was that they showed the trailer of superman returns and that looked really good .... bryan singer shouldnt have left x-men in the hands of an amateur ... he should have completed x-men before doing superman :(

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

saw it yesterday, entertaining.

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

The first two were worth the time and special effects. Not bad with Anna PQuin, she has pushed the limits in many movies, including the last Spike Lee film.

#644136Post 30 of 54

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

Could have been better. It was good, but not nearly as good as the first 2. I would go further in depth, but I don't want to give anything away to those that haven't seen it.

Unfortunately I didn't know about the after-credits part. I've tried to check it out on a couple of sites, but it's been taken down already. I'm pretty sure I know what it is, and no I wouldn't have seen it coming. Wish I would have known about it beforehand. :x

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

Saw it last night - it was entertaining... but not spectacular.

There was a bit too much cheese. But the cheese was balanced with a few really well put together scenese and ideas.

The part after the credits was cool - worth staying for.

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

yeah i have a question....does there gonna be a 4 part?....what about magneto at the end how the hell he do it....dammit..hate that feeling of incomplete ends...

#648780Post 33 of 54

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

I love incimplete ends, it leaves room for your on imagination...

As for a part 4... Well, highly unlikely imo. Haven't seen the movie, but think of how they're gonna call it... "The absolutely really fo' sure LAST stand"?

#649085Post 34 of 54

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

There will be another X-men movie, but not necessarily "X-men 4." The Last Stand was the last in this trilogy, the retelling of The Dark Phoenix Saga. Next will come either the Wolverine or Magneto movie. Then a couple years after that a new X-men movie, based on a different era from the comic books. Hopefully something with Apocalypse and (finally) featuring Gambit. 8)

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

I was disappointed with The last stand. Things happened that never happened in the comics. It's hard explaining without spoiling it for those who did not see it yet, but those who did see it hopefully understand. I thought it was a little too cheesey and the fight scenes weren't even that spectacular. They need to bring back Bryan Singer, the director who did the first two back into this series with his writers, if there is going to be a fourth installment. I know he just did the superman movie, so hopefully that will be better than x-men.

#649504Post 36 of 54

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

apocalypse would be a sick movie. have him do as they did in the comics and have a really dark violent scene where angel becomes archangel. you could have him infect wolverine with the virus like in the comics..

they need to force integrity to the comics though. already they have at least a dozen ""free creative liscences"" put into the movies. angel was an original. iceman wasnt a kid, beast was there early as well, but just a white boy. pyro was never good. rogue was an adult,

THEY NEED SOMEONE TO PLAY CABLE>

#649550Post 37 of 54

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

I finally saw it last weekend. I agree it wasn't spectacular. It looked more promising from the trailer. I thought they could have done a better job with phoenix.

#649695Post 38 of 54

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

I agree that the last fight was pretty damn anti-climatic. Should have been the end of the world, instead it was just like any other movie-ending fight. :what

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

yeah i remember also a friend of wolvering who can morph like mistique....on the cartoons...not sure if in the comics too.....this guy who i cannt remember his name was controled by apocalypse right?.....

Re: X-Men: The Last Stand

Fox Head Tom Rothman has confirmed that there will indeed be an X-Men 4, and probably more after that as well.
