I remember seeing the first Star Wars when I was 3 with my dad, when it first came out in 1977, Movie blew my mind and completely changed my life - sparked my love for film.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this when it finally comes out. The prequels almost took that nostalgic love of the first two films (New Hope and Empire - fuck Return of the Jedi, that was Lucas selling out), but this is bringing me back.

I made the mistake of re-visiting The Revenge Of The Sith the other night and was reminded how woeful the story of how Anakin is seduced by The Dark Side plays out. aside from some great action scenes, each of the prequels had their share of cringe-worthy scenes. fingers crossed for a return to form for the franchise.

^^^^^^^^ ROTS is still head and shoulders better than Phantom Menace, but then again that's like arguing which is better - hospital food or airline food.

I'm terribly disappointed with this movie.

I got to say the trailers sold it to me very well and I was expecting way more from it, only to find that this movie was poorly executed with no depth into its characters.

The plot is very similar to some past ones. I guess history does repeat itself in its own tragedy and its called the force awakens.
